 I mean really, there are three critical character appearances that seem destined to happen in any Dragon Age game.

#1 Flemeth saves the protagonist

#2 Bodahn and Sandal pop up and tag along

#3 Each protagonist gets their very own Mabari hound!

So is number 3 a given or am I delusional?  Will the Inquisitor be from Ferelden?

A villain saving a hero to manipulate him to her own ends?  Sure that never happens

Don't think we'll get a Dog either in DA2 or DA:O form, unless the protagonist is from Ferelden. Mabari Dogs seem to me a Ferelden specific things (well sort off), as they are soooo much into their dogs. Not sure how much it would fit for a "protagonist" from somewhere else / Orlea.

Saying that having a trusty war hound on ones side was fun .

Dog is a must, I'm a huge supporter of Dog.

And we saw at Cheateau Haine that Orlesians can have dogs too.

I would prefer Dog to be a stand alone companion like in Origins. He wasn't as useful as the others, but the mabari running into Denerim market and bringing back a child was hilarious.

Yea, I'd love to see Dog urinate on some fine Orlesian furnishing.

If I have him in my party, give me an option on the dialogue wheel to "sick'em boy" on people I don't like. Watch him urinate and mark his territory on their leg. Then growl at them.
