Xbox confirms *NO* DLC for the next week (update: Bioware confirms this)

I hear you.  This is the way society is: entirely dependant on the newest of technologies.  I hope I'm not still around the day our nonrenewable resources run out and electricity is a thing of the past.

This reminds me of that scene in Killer Klowns from Outer Space where one of the Clowns was trying to lure a little girl to step outside of an ice cream shop, but behind his back he was holding a humongous wooden mallet with which he intended to smash her skull, and dreams.  You can see Chris Priestly at the 2:20 mark!

I'm glad some reason got introduced to this situation finally. The expectation for this was completely fan created. No one ever said anything official about when.

Everyone is SO quick to just take what the devs say at face value they lied about leaks before and release dates before and almost always it ended up being true whats to say this time is any different they dont announce the dlc till fridays come on guys dont fall for this until friday passes and there is no announcement

Yeah he did which is why I cant trust him now when he says there wont be any hes lying mark my words friday we will get an announcement

I would rather believe them and be happily surprised to find out that they lied rather than not believe them and have my dreams shattered.. SHATTERED!!!

The numbers don't lie players are dropping like flies at least on xbox live, and the MP is just old, stale, and boring and with no patches! With other AAA titles hitting consoles + pc its just over now, and it seems they try to keep people lured in with cheap PR parlor tricks.

There is a difference between denying rumors even though they are true and blatantly lying to your playerbase.

I doubt the dev team would go on their board and say nothing is coming and we should stop whining and then pull a rabbit out of their ass on Tuesday.
If they do, it would be an insult to their players

I know you guys all love this game, heck, I myself do too, but why is it so important to get even the vaguest info about future DLC? It won't arrive any sooner.

BioWare does it Apple-style, it's announced when it's ready. Imagine the sh*tstorm on BSN if they would have to delay a DLC a week or two because they announced a specific date way too early.

And in regards to Chris's "busy week": BW just announced Dragon Age 3, which certainly means that it's gonna be a busy week for a BioWare (not only Mass Effect) community manager on BW's official forums...

Yeah.... no. Do you have any proof of this 'numbers don't lie' crap? Or are you just another borderlands fanboy? Those numbers have been like that consistently, and besides, considering the amount of games out, that isn't too bad.

Enough with the "playerbase is dropping like flies" claims. It's not. When they announce that they will no longer be offering support for the game, then you can whine. But you'll probably be gone by then, so...

Shh.

Ps. Thanks for clearing it up devs, looking forward to the patches and DLC when they hit!
