Oh, you mean swapping models (and skins). Yeah, I like that. ;-) I thought you meant actually editing the model in game, and then if you did that, you'd have to also redesign the outfight skin, re-shadow it, etc. Crazy difficult. Yeah, I like your idea.

I'm a woman and I hated how frumpy and masculine fem Hawke was. There should be options for both. If you want her to be sexy, you should have sexy outfit choices. If you want her to be more of a tomboy, then you have masculine outfit choices. I don't see why there can't be both for the DA3 protag, whether male or female. If a male wants to crossdress - let him. If a female wants to have her boobs hanging out like Morrigan - let her.
I wanted a cuter/sexier Hawke. I felt like she was a total lesbian (non lipstick variety) the entire time, and that really didn't fit into the persona that I was trying to create for her.

I have total respect for how Female Hawke in DA2 initially dresses quite tough! (no boob shaped armor, or scantily clad attire - thank god!).
I had a little problem with not being able to maker her bulkier, a claymore wielding warrior would be bulkier, but alas, it's a minor concern, given how appreciative I am of the armor designs.
That said, there are a few moments where I think character designs over step the mark in relation to being exploitive of sexualized design, rather then natural or believable.
ME3 had a huge problem with making it's female characters bustier and less "natural" and therefore less "grounded" in comparison to the first game. I like believable characters, not manipulative designs seeking to attract my attention in all the wrong ways.
Make good characters through good writing, sure they can look beautiful, but only in the most practical sense of the word. A warrior on the front lines of a war would not be wearing heavy makeup for instance, or a chainmail bikini
By all means have romances, sex scenes and all that - but treat us like adults, not teenagers.
Just a heads up, I do not expect BW to make DA3 more sexualized.
Have you never herd of high Fantasy all females are large chested and clad in skimpy gear

This means if a party goes out questing/fighting they'd be wearing the protective gear suited for their class.
If not doing that, seeing them in the clothes the character would wear privatly, like the outfit Hawke has, would be good. If a character has a personality like Isabella her clothes, when wearing not in battle, would fit her personality and are less covering than what Aveline would wear. But think that the clothes Isabella wears the entire game are not meant for doing battle
Wearing believable protective gear but also seeing characters in 'freetime' clothing fitting their personality, either more closed or more open, is something that would greaten my immersion in a game.
Is that sexualizing a character?
Here and example of Aveline wearing more or less private clothes (sorry for the fact that it's a battle pic)

Also, after seeing the concepts for female Kossith, I was quite let down at how much they just looked like busty, grey, 7 foot tall athletic female humans... I was hoping they'd have the same heavy brow of the male Kossith and a sturdier frame - simply because it didn't fall in line with the design of their male counterparts.

If Bioware allows true customization, your dream could be become real. Like I said, armors and outfits is the best thing. Armors in combat, and outfits while traveling into a city for example. And to each to choose what he likes or wants to wear.sjpelkessjpeler wrote...
In a perfect game imho characters would wear things that are apropriate for the role they are doing at that time.

You mean how she is wearing these stuff at the very start of the game and very quickly get's put into proper armor that covers everything but her face? Avelien is a horrible example.sjpelkessjpeler wrote...

Aveline, Hawke, Isabela, Bethany(both versions) and Merrill all have diffrent body types and curves. Unlike DAO.Mr Arg wrote...

Original Conan from Robert E. Howard's stories did wear armor from time to time, especially for larger battles.
Wasn't he once described as a whirlind of steel, clad in black plate reaping men like wheat? That's pretty hardcore, and not much like he's portrayed in comics and film.
Conan was pretty hardcore. What he was wearing was depending on where he was and what he was doing. He was a thief, a pirate, fought in the jungle, in the desert etc. All that isn't neccessarily fun wearing a full plate. But when riding into battle with an army, fighting for a kingdom, yeah, full plate might be rather nice.

I totally support the idea of separate looks for socializing or for cave crawling. And if the party gets ambushed on the way to the party, they will have to live with the consequences of being under-geared...Sylvianus wrote...

Full customizable armor for all companions.
And two selectable/customizable outfits, one casual and formal, or even three, casual, formal, and utilitarian (travel, etc.) with plenty of options for the player character.

Seems pretty well in line with the customizability and wealth of options most of us are talking about, really. I'd like the option to play all my characters as very different people also, so I'd happily welcome it.
