The Dragon Age team has been much better about it, and I hope they continue in that direction and don't take pointers from Mass Effect. There have been some definite misses from DA2 though ... the first one that comes to mind is the use of the Isabela-style exaggerated running animation for all of the females, including the PC.marshalleck wrote...
You're right, Aveline was totally a hotrodded sex machine.
Come on. Give credit where it's due.
I don't know how much the DA team was involved with the Dawn of the Seeker anime, but Cassandra wasn't oversexualized at ALL ... so that's a pretty big deal!

If she was formerly a hard as nails marine gunnery sergeant, then she should look like that, not a barbie.
You've done mostly okay, but you make some silly design decisions that are over sexualization, just don't go so far in the other direction that our diverse females can range from nun's habit to a burqa.

O for the love of the maker...Don't turn a few side boob shots into something it's not.As a woman, I find this statement rather sickening.
Explain.
Your claims of female character being too busty and unnatural is not only disingenious but offensive. Some women naturally have larger breast than others, there is nothing unnatural about it.Maybe you should get over your own insecurities.
You can't honestly be suggesting that there wasn't oversexualization of the women of ME....? I mean argue about stupid **** all you want but this is pretty obvious.
My being offended by the op insinuating that women with large breast are unnatural oversexed eye candy is stupid? I don't expect a man to fully understand how offensive that statement was but do try to show some empathy.
To answer your question: The only openly sexualized character in the ME series was miranda, I dare you to try and find another.

Isabela's breast didn't look ridiculously huge to me.The biggest natural breast recorded that I know of is 38g and isabela didn't come within leagues of that.As for the Illusion of implants, are you factoring in that she was wearing a corset?
I wasn't really talking about the size, more the shape.
Come on, they look like balloons. Corset or not.
They do look Balloonish in the corset but if the corset were ever removed, I have no doubt they'd quickly deflate and gravity would take its course.

For me, options trump realism. Then everybody has a chance to do what they wanna do, or what they feel like doing right now.

Over sexualized people exist in the real world. ie people who flaunt their sexuality. So why would they not be in the game?
having every single lady flaunt their sexuality is ridiculous though.

Also she needs to put some pants on. shirt, a thong and boots is not appropriate wear for a adventurer

Tali was in the same coverall type of suit she's worn since Me1, where is the sexualization coming into play?

Does she even count? Last I check, she was pretty much stuck inside that suit, and I heard something about her face but...ah forget it.
What about that Morinth?

Actually, her suit has been changed in small details. But I agree with you: where does the sexualization come into play?

Waitaminute. Posting about something like this under a name like that. What's going on here ?
edit; to stay on topic, I don't think there's over sexualization of characters to begin with. The whole thing is really only about Isabela and if you ask me it flows perfectly with her character. When it comes to party banter Isabela is pretty funny to have around and I like the character a lot. Sure, it's a bit of a baywatch moment for like the first 10 seconds when you see Isabela for the first time. Who really cares, come on. Mass Effect has over sexualized characters. Just think of what they did to Ashley.
