In DA:O we got a mage and a rogue, in DA2 we got a mage and a rogue... I think it's time for a warrior Female LI... I'm thinking Cassandra would be a great addition, but I'm a bit bias in that I really liked her look/voice/mannerism in DA2.

I heard Cassandra is about 40. Is that true?

No, I asked Mike Laidlaw this on twitter a few months ago and he said she definetily wasn't.

The problem with Dawn of the Seeker is that the writers were sort of...free with the dates (my opinion not his) and so a lot of it is sort of muddled. One of the issues of working with third parties I guess.

I wouldn't let age stand in the way however, as Mister JB said she is probably in her late thirties, but I wouldn't be surprised if she wasn't younger by a year or two.

It might affect how I RP my Inquisitor is all. I tend to imagine my protagonists on the youngish side.

And the Divine in Dawn of the Seeker was Beatrix and not Justinia? Interesting. Or is that just a big movie error? Justinia "inhereited" Cassandra as her right hand? She wasn't chosen by Justinia but Leliana was? Any possible tension there?

A man with a great beard who doesn't have too much in the way of baggage. I'd prefer someone funny, a bit sarcastic, who actually asks questions of the PC and looks out for them. Someone down to earth and.... I just realized on re-reading this, except for the beard, I described Varric. DAMN YOU, BIOWAAAAAAARE~!

I loved Varric but I'd prefer this sort of character be a human since the protagonist is. Keep hope alive.

I found the perfect man for my FemHawke in Sebastian. Getting married was a plus. Hope there is a somewhat simliar option in DA3.

I kinda hope they won't make all the characters a romancer. I liked how Varric was in DA2 and hope they have more non-romance companions. But that doesn't mean I'm against romances..

I say have one or two be bi-sexual, one same sex for each gener, a few just heterosexual romances, and a few not-interested folks.

I think Gaider has said that they're sticking to the all bi formula, since that's what's fair and cost efficient. I personally like that people aren't restricted from their favourite characters because they prefer playing a different gender, but eh, that's off topic.

I hope that Cassandra is romanceable! I would love to see a female LI who is older (she's in her mid to late thirties, I think), and a warrior. Plus that accent!

Cassandra for my male characters is the only one I can think of that I really want.

Do you have a quote to support that? I hope that isn't true.

As long as she can cook and clean I'm pretty well open on the issue.

Actually what I want is not too do with the female romace options but more with the way they are handled.  For once I'd like a happily ever after kind of thing, cutsene of the two love birds walking on a beach off into the sunset or what have you.  The type of thing that ME3 should have had.

I like this too, but I also like the other paths, bioware has always been there to do options (it seems) but I really want true options. In other words, one time I accidently get her killed and it devastates me, next time I play I think "Oh wait ! not that again !" hehe, well this goes with the whole multiple paths which can get expensive in a game like this to make, but I do hope they have a few with our characters and partners.

On this it makes sense development wise and I don't hold it against the devs to do so. Why not? gives you multiple replays if you like. I still stick with my comment above thou, would like to see different paths in these side stories or in the game. Something to mix it up so replay is more fun too :)

You realize that when you're "romancing" an NPC you're basically engaged in cybersex with the writer behind the NPC? A balding, slightly overweight middle-aged man?

I don't if this is going off topic but I think it would be awesome if you had the option to import your warden or your hawke with his/ her LI and continue it further and both would be slightly different story lines instead of exact same lines, and only changing the names. Because that way the trilogy feels complete.

That's definitely not going to happen, but if you do use the save import I think it would be cool if there was some reference to who your Warden/Hawke romanced.

Isn't that a bit of an assumption? By the time of DAIII who knows.
