Another ME game under Hudson?
No thanks.
Who else? An EA executive?
I'd like to see how that would fly here.

Better bring out the lube, EAware is going to R4PE us again.=(
not me... I know better than to expect nearly the same quality as ME/ME2 from these two (EA, BIOWARE) again..
They raped the series in 5 minutes, gave us a free slideshow DLC that ignored the majority of the requests from the majority of the fanbase, and effectively told the fanbase to screw off because art.
Not spending another penny on this series.

You seem to be forgetting that Hudson was also project lead on ME1 and ME2. Don't write it off so soon.

I've got a sinking ( or hopeful? ) feeling that this will be a pure shooter taking place during Priority: Earth. It could work if it uses your ME3 saves to tell the stories of your team, your assets, and your decisions to influence the battles/set pieces. And... If it showed the effects of your decision in greater detail, like "we found Shepard in this rubble". But... More than likely, we will be playing just James and his squad, unfortunately.
Patrick does create quirky, lovable characters and fun dramatizations (a lot of the ambient conversations in all the games are his, I believe). But I'm not sure he's a powerhouse plot writer (for sure, Rannoch occasionally struggles and has some questionable developments).JimJamBimBam wrote...
From watching panels and such on Youtube, it looks like they are good friends, and they do some of the best writing in the series. Hell, they wrote the Mordin confrontation together, a personal highlight for me. It's clear that they can do great work together, why don't they have those two as lead writers for the new game.

Good, another Mass Effect game. I am already readying my wallet for the pre-orders, and pulling up my chair and popcorn for the inevitable sh*tstorm that I can see coming over the hill.
Batten down the hatches Men!
My hope would be to have a more realistic way to integrate my war assets, to get perspective and time with the squad mates that I have grown fond of, to see the ending/s that I have chosen be expanded upon and, to be honest, to get one more moment with "my" Shepard. Since I do not believe that they would do that within the current game, I would grudgingly accept this compromise. It may give EA/Bioware a way to mollify fans further while "saving face" and continuing a great IP that has quite a bit of resentment attached to it currently. I dont see them going the more RPG route with the series yet, unfortunately, so the realist in me thinks that we are going to be offered a shooter. I though that the tone of my original post conveyed that sentimentMaster Xanthan wrote...

So you hope Mass Effect will turn into a pure shooter? If that's what you want, Battlefield might be something you would prefer.

NO pointless PREQUELS! WE ALREADY know WHAT HAPPENS!
Yeah I say they should make the Destroy ending canon and do a story in the future with completely new characters.

Yes, this. I sincerely hope they don't go to a shooter and stick with an RPG and with a story rich game. And make it more realistic at the end. Don't send players on all these asset chases just so they can't use them. Basically, avoid doing a lot of what you did in ME3, but keep making great characters with real interaction and choice-and yes, some of the stories within ME3 were great too. But please finish ME3 first or at least finish it in any ME4, without green eyes or reapers around.

It will be better if they reconcile with the fan base. If they conform/compromise with our desires. And if they put hard work and dedication into the story. All thats needed is a combination of ME1, ME2, and ME3. Listen to your fanbase. And ME4 should be/shall be the final game of the ME series and live in glory. Don't turn it into CoD (and now, Halo).
@Mass Perfection. Well, the old man with the child, when asked for another story about "the Shepard", he said just one more. Just another reason to continue the story, at least for a short period.
