So Omega will be twice the size of Leviathan according to sources? That seems a little strange to me, given the relative narrative significance of the former.

I'm still confused as to the purported magnitude of the DLC. The premise of this mission seems overwhelmingly arbitrary, so I'll be expecting a serious plot twist somewhere along the line. For the increase in price I imagine there must be something they're not telling us.

i hate prequels, especially when you've already found out who the MAJOR players will be in the end and how everything pans out. the only thing id be happy with is doing something like the rachni war but yeah well ......... "some" people dont want that because they want to be human lol.

preqeuls just show that that the current creation blocks of any type of post material im speaking in general terms now. 

only thing i think worked with prequels was the star wars series and even then i didnt like the prequels that much.

i cant see a prequel working and if they do something with vega ill throw up.

I hope there's a civil war between Cerberus forces on Omega, so we can get more Ex-Ceberus war assets and give the Project Pheonix guys a place in SP. Petrovsky vs the Cerberus Announcer. Then we get to go back through the Relay and take out the Collector remnant forces.

At that price, I'd want not only a great single player campaign, but also the option of having Aria as a squadmate in the main story.

truthfully it's a vast galaxy and a story could easily work whether prequel, concurrent, or future. hopefully the new one is as well done, top to bottom, as 1 or 2.  3 was fun and I enjoyed it, but found the absence of all the ME2 squad disappointing, and the ending thoroughly so.

a return to form in an altered setting would be awesome.

I have a horrible feeling that is exactly what it is going to be, given that was what occurred with From Ashes and Leviathan. A token weak story but hey look at all the awesome combat.

Actually, I think the Leviathan was quite good overall. I like that our squadmates can take part in the Leviathan story. But form what I was able to find out, I'm afraid you could be right about Omega. We can't do anything about it, though. Given the ending of ME3, there probably isn't high demand for real story DLCs. Therefore, it makes some sense for EA to release a DLC primarily focused on fighting and shooting.

While I liked the squad banter, overall I have to disagree.

The story quality was highly lacking. Perhaps I am being overly harsh but with the big reveal being spoilt by the extended cut whatever excitment I could have found was lost before it had even begun.

Don't get me wrong if combat focused DLC is what sells than I have no objection to EA/Bioware making and selling it. However the combat has never been the reason I've bought a Bioware game, let alone a Mass Effect title, so they've instantly predjuiced me against future content if they chose to go that route.

It won't be another shepard story or ar least I wouldn't have thought so given the way ME3 ends and the fsadc that story was meant to end with ME3 it'll most likely be a different story with different characters

You do know other people are entitled to like that ending you hate so much? Or do you think you are the beholder of the truth...

Some people like it some people hate it...no one is entitled to say what other poeple should like or not---

As long as i remember, there was another Normandy class frigate on the alliance fleet, so a prequel settled with an SR1 in the two years that Shepard was out is possible.
