Yes indeed. Aaryn Flynn did confirm that Omega will be the next Single Player DLC. We'll have more DLC info in the coming weeks. Aaryn also confirmed we are making a new IP (not ME related obviously) and a new Mass Effect game.

It is FAR too early to talk about what this game is or what it will be about. It was only really mentioned because we know that some people will assume that with Ray & Greg leaving BioWare we'll be closing and not making more games. This is, of course, not true. We have Dragon Age 3 Inquisition in the works, more single and multiplay DLC in teh works for ME3, a new game coming in teh Mass Effect franchise and a new IP. Lots of good stuff still to come and when we can fill you in with details, we will. Stay tuned. :)

Can you provide any information on how the team plans to approach continuity, story coherence, character consistency and plot-checking this time around? Obviously after the fiasco Mass Effect 3 (and ME2 to a far lesser degree caused) in regards to plot holes and the like, there will obviously be some changes in these departments I assume.

Is it possible to comment yet, or is it too early?

They aren't going to comment on that stuff until touting ME4 for marketing reasons.

I would like to see the N7 program in the actual game. I understand that Shepard is awesome because he/she graduated from this program, but I wouldn't mind getting to see that training in game. It'd be nice to create a character to go through that program, if it was set after the events of ME3

Same here more ME is great in any form. I loved ME 3, From Ashes, EC, and  Leviathian and hope this is of same quality.

You know James Vega wanted to go for N7 program? Be carefull what you wish for.
Maybe you end up as him in a Gears of War clone.

I occasionally still pop into the bsn when bored, instead of multiple times daily (between me2 & 3). I wish I still felt like I had a reason to give a crap. Sigh...

Sorry you feel that way. Thankfully I loved ME 3 especially post EC and am very excited.

This dlc surely must be epic in quality and length. In fact given scale of txt it should be as big as the collector base mission from me2 both are similar in scale. It could be thevmost combat heavy dlc. And, given Cerberus presence let us hope for some suspense and intrigue as to.what and why Cerberus took back.omega

the suicidemission created so much problems that they probably decided never to touch it again. chances are Omega will a very stright shooter with minigames, like leviathan and priority: earth was. Dont put your hopes to high.

It's not too far-fetched to come up with 3 (or 2 if Synthesis ending is counted out) campaign stories merging into a singular plot with the most minor of differences .

I'm very excited about Omega, and new Mass Effect game. And I really hope that new IP will be sci-fi. There are so few truly good sci-fi games around.

The Suicide Mission created a massive amount of coding and programming issues, its one of the reasons why that most of the Mass Effect 2 squadmates aren't squadmates in ME3 and some lack large plot significance. If you think about it, in order to accomidate every player action for the suiide mission, over 100 separate scripts would need to be written. Most companies lack the time, money and patience to complete such a task.

Looking forward to seeing Mass Effect continue. I love the games and can't get enough. What would be really cool is if ME3 was really all a dream and nightmare of Shepard's and that his/her real story comes out in ME4. This is my wish, but I know I am only dreaming or am I.

But the Mass Effect universe is vast, and Casey and our teams have plans for another full game.

Personally, I don't see how they can make a ME game without Shepard, the two are essentially the same thing, the same entity... it would be like putting out a Tomb Raider game without Lara Croft, imho.

Plus tbh, the more I think about it the less convinced I am that I'd buy a ME4 after what happened with ME3.  Basicly they made every player decision prior to ME3 utterly pointless, and where changes are included they make so little impact they may as well have not bothered giving us the choice in the first place.  Plus things like the face import issue that still hasn't been fixed properly, making it impossible for us to continue the game with a character we'd used for the first two... I kind of suspect that was a deliberate tactic to kind of force us away from our Shepard's story to go down the last road they wanted us to follow... but whatever.  Short of Shepard somehow being alive for ME4, I can't see me bothering with it, it wouldn't feel the same.

Well I think I pop in once a month or so recently -- it's been long enough since being burned by the ME3 ending -- and I did so today to find news of another Mass Effect game!

I'm going to wait a few weeks after launch until I can read player reactions to the *entire* game before deciding whether or not to buy it. I'd been a BioWare fan and supporter since BG2 and would love to trust them that way again, but after DA2 and then the ME3 endings, I'm going to have to just wait and hope.

Pull this off and all is (almost) forgiven.

I don't think that it's that extreme but I see your point, still I think they did fine with both ME2 and ME3.

I'm worried the Omega DLC will be a bit boring. I don't want to help a criminal warlord retake her stronghold...

As for a new game, I'd like it to be asequel. Prequels suck as a general rule. I want to see Mass Effect move into the future, even if that means choosing a canon storyline from the first trilogy.Just don't pick destroy as the canon ending... please.
