A new era for the company.

I personally wish them well in their future pursuits.

No flaming please guys...

**Update**

Both the Doctors have written statements on the bioware blog:

EA board of directors, most like. Sad, DA III seemed promising too...

Every developing team that stayed in the business for so long deserves respect. They might have ended like Westwood...

Can we all stop being negative about everything and stop claiming that everything is EA's influence on Bioware? Two very good men have retired, willingly leaving the company. Let's just focus on that, for once.
I wish them well, and hope they remember that they will be missed.

First Drew (we have already seen the consequences from that), now these 2.

Doesn't really raise my hopes for future BioWare projects...

So does this mean that EA has more power over Bioware now, or that cold feeling on my spine was just my imagination?

2012 era Bioware is an EA company now - has been for some time. I don't expect to buy anymore products from them as this is NOT the same company now. Thanks For Mass Effect 1.

ye I remember the " Doctors " talk about the bright future of BioWare now that they had sold out to EA, Now it looks like the good old Docs are jumping ship...
.... or abandoning it...

Awesome, now grab all the remaining talent at BioWare, try to get some of the old people you lost over the years back, start a new company and go back to making quality games. And don't sell your soul to EA this time...

I would rather leave this open, so lay off the insults and name calling or more people will be banned.

It is a sad day as Ray & Greg are good friends. This doesn't mean the end of BioWare, Mass Effect or Dragon Age and it doesn't mean the end of our friendships with Ray & Greg. I'm sad to see them go, but treasure our time working together.

Damn.

Those two were among the very, very rare breed of executives that actually care about gaming. I always thought of them as a creative buffer between EA's bureaucracy and BioWare.

They will be missed.

well, that kinda sux. i heard this rumor b4 and they were like no, no. greg isn't leaving. i shoulda known.

but really, they founded the company, yes. but they were never devs. so maybe they didn't have that much impact on the games. even the earlier ones...?

it feels weird, tho, not having the doctors there....
