Show some respect people!  Whether you like EA or not, the Doctors deserve way more than rubbish conspiracy theories.  It's been five years since EA acquired Bioware, but they are the founders.  They are responsible for everything Bioware has done, including the "Old Bioware" all you whiny knuckleheads like to compare the new EA Bioware to.  It doesn't matter if they are jumping ship or if they actually just want to live out other aspects of their lives, they deserve your appreciation and thanks regardless.

Anyways, thank you Ray and Greg.  It's sad to see you guys go, but I wish you the best in your new endeavors.  Thanks for all the fun.

Just because someone may have done something pretty cool once upon a time, that doesn't make every subsequent action beyond reproach.

You're right, it doesn't.  However it's not right to look at seventeen years of work and only remember the last five because of some debatably negative actions that were taken (and they are debatable).  Regardless of how you feel, there's twelve years of good and five years of "bad."  They deserve our respect and gratitude.  Period.

People need to stop with the dumb conspiracies. I want to thank Ray and Greg for being part of giving us amazing games through the years and hopefully everything turns great in their future endeavors.

Now we just have to wait and see what happens to Bioware with the next games but I'd rather choose to stay positive that they'll keep listening to us and make a DA3 to die for.

Cheers!

But the problem is with all the conspiracies were right.  Well for the most part with ME 3 anyway.  But still it was fun having those guys and they will be missed.

Bioware is officially dead to me now. Thanks for ruining my favorite series and leaving me unfulfilled in all my gameplay as Commander Shepard. Ray and Gregg, wish you the best as things begin to collapse in your wake. EA voted worst gaming company in 2012...and the cancer is beginning to spread.

Because they retired? I mean, I doubt they've actually substantially contributed, if at all, to the development process of any game in several games. So nothing has really changed.

Can we all stop being negative about everything and stop claiming that everything is EA's influence on Bioware? Two very good men have retired, willingly leaving the company. Let's just focus on that, for once.
I wish them well, and hope they remember that they will be missed.

I love the Bioware games.

Yes that includes Mass Effect 3

I've played

Baldur's Gate 1 (A few things missing. In depth party member interaction being the most obvious. 8/10)
Dragon Age Origins (Just amazing. 9/10)
Dragon Age Legends (okay that one wasn't great)
Mass Effect 1, 2, 3. (The trilogy gets an 9/10. I loved all three games)
And Sonic Chronicles The Dark Brotherhood (that one wasn't great either)

I wish the two Doctors the best of luck. They have made great games.

An article appeared on MMORPG.com which feels that this is something that can mean good things for BioWare. Not that many agreed with that and someone posted this link that was made back in April. Shows 'possible' problems and what perhaps some people in BioWare should do. Kinda seems prophetic perhaps?

www.guru3d.com/news_story/fan_negativity_was_too_much_for_bioware_owners.html  think this has helps prove of how EA really messed up Bioware, and now as people have too many high hopes that bioware would remain the same, think its a read between the lines, DA3 will have co-op or MP as its a EA thing and the future games will be humdrum dawson creek esque games that appeal to casuals, people may turn around and say "well i hope your happy with yourselves" i.e contributing to their retirement but i say, not our fault,

we're paying customers and EA's influence wrecked these games, EA should never had been allowed to buy Biowre, but its happened now and theres nothing we can do about it, its exactly whats happend to other studios that got ate up by EA, but looks like EA games that have a Bioware label on just wont be as good anymore, looks like doctors may have had some pushback to EA but now thats gone, tough break but it shows one thing.

how good Bioware where before and so all the love from the fans and how bad EA are and how much Bioware changed for the worse under its banner.

A recent Facebook update from Ray:

I respect/revere fans, because they speak with deep, honest passion. Journalists speculating on ill-founded rumors should reassess approach.

This is not the thread in which to set up your soapbox and spout your ideal world fantasies. Ray and Greg have always been straight-shooters when it comes to their business acumen and the respect and kindness with which they treat those they meet, as well as the fans of the games their company makes.

I wouldn't say totally straight-shooters, didn't the announcement from the doctors about the artistic integrity state about how well me3 was received by critics ie the journalists seems like if it's nice reports then they are quoted and used but bad reports are discarded and say based on no truths, just seems odd like selective hearing really, but I do want to say the doctors do have my up most respect as they created and founded an amazing company, just ashame about EA thats all.

It would not be all that surprising, you work your ass off and your bosses think you failed and your customers are calling you names all over the internet. Had the midlife crisis hit, they may had little reason left to stay in the industry ... and its not like the doctors did not do some major career change in the past.

That Facebook update did not outright deny anything. They have many friends working at BioWare and there is no need to cause them troubles with some poor statements.
They wont comment on the "fans" either. While many "fans" have been real ****s recently, there are some others who have been great over the years. Again, their friends at BioWare would be the ones taking the "fan" hate.

I blame everyone on this board, the ending wasn't that bad and star wars wasn't that bad either. Peoples expectations are too high and too over the top. Also a reality check needs to be put in place.

The ending was that bad. You don't create an RPG trilogy with a story, which is driven by players' choices, only to butcher the main character at the end. The EC DLC has made the ending somewhat better, though. There is at least a glimmer of hope for Shep.

As for the expectations, they were so high because BioWare promised us a great ending to the trilogy. Well, what we originally got was far, far from great.

By the way, I suppose that most fans believe that 95% of the game is outright amazing. But the last 15 minutes are truly saddening. I know a lot of people who can't enjoy replaying the game because of it.

(edit: typo)

There is something really wrong with BSN, its like people hate virtually everything.
I dont think there was anything that made people around here really happy, there is always someone whining and ****ing. The ending being blown completely out of proportions is just tip of the iceberg.

Yeah well, Leviathan sold pretty darn well and I bet omega is gonna do more than well.So all these "all is doomed" fans swarming the BSN since ME2,yes ME2, all these "REAL" fans who have been ****ing about every single thing since ME2 came out which now is the best game ever with no flaws cannot be taken seriously.

Only the few who were able to get us the EC by constructive criticism are to be thanked, the rest...if actually they could just move on or just leave... but of course that's not gonna happen.

What would they ever do with their lives...

Saying that the BSN is bad is simply not true - checking out MANY other forums/boards and have found that there are MANY others that are way worse in terms of negativity and comments made about the product/game the board is about. As much as I do NOT like the direction that BioWare has taken (and I have my own opinions on where the blame needs to be placed) the majority of people who do complain do so pretty well with respect both for BioWare and the individuals who work for the company. Always the exceptions but its not this board that is at fault.
