However, to be fair, The PS3, PS4, and PC versions will not force you to connect the Kinect (har) to your machine.  Instead they require you to perform a ritual to summon the Old Gods, using a Kinect as your burnt offering.  Burnt offering instructions are included in the game, along with a warning to a.) perform it outside, and b.) call the Fire Marshall.
