Priestly has a tendency to make statements that turn out quite differently later.  Like all of the misleading statements he made about Multiplayer in ME3,  or Shooter mode in ME3.

Funny isn´t it.

That only leaves two options...one: he has no idea..which would make him pretty bad at his job, especialy considering ME3. Or two: he is a liar....i go for two.

So they are gone..well can we "EA will kill Bioware" "fans" now go out and celebrate? Celebrate the "doom" of our most beloved game studio? No? *looks at Me2+3...DA2* well i guess we can.

Good luck to the doctors...they should have made enough money now to settle in. And if not, well...whatever. Thats definitely it for the company i loved once. There is hardly anyone there left who made Bioware what it was.

cheers

No one wants to celeberate this... Those of us seeing this coming weren't enjoying it.. We want to love Bioware again but EA digs its claws in and there's nothing but going down. :crying:

I'm not sure I'd want to continue working in this industry either were I in their position. I think you'd be hard pressed to find fan reaction more volatile than that levied BioWare's direction. It wouldn't surprise me in the least if they had been leaning in this direction years ago and sold to EA for that reason.

Chris Priestly has come out months ago, confirming that these rumours are false. So I'll expect a lock with further clarification soon.

As for the Docs, good luck in life even if they're not leaving BioWare as these vicious rumours might indicate.

Vicious? Lol, ok...

Anyway, it's a done deal dude. They've hit the trail.

Ugh, I can't believe people still think it's just a rumor - here, allow me to completely and utterly remove all doubt as to the validity of this "rumor":

blog.bioware.com/2012/09/18/ray-muzyka-greg-zeschuk-retire/

It can't be made any clearer than that, really.

I knew this would happen. Just waiting for Bioware to sink to the depths.

Seems like a rumour... I'll need some very trustworthy sources before I agree that the two legendary people who founded BioWare are leaving.

So unless someone like Chris Priestly can post here and confirm it's all true, I'm gonna have to go with "FAKE!" on this one.

Greengoron just linked it man. If Bioware themselves aren't a trustworthy source idk what is.

No, no. That link doesn't seem secure. I need someone like Chris Priestly to confirm that the people who gave us BioWare have left.

It takes a strong man to deny what's right in front of him.

EA may shed their coat, but their nature never changes. For them it's all and *only* about business.

I never for once doubted the death of Bioware would be the result and it only gor more evident as the time passed on (Me2, Da2, Me3)

I'm glad we still have Obsidian to carry on the torch.

You know if you dislike the Bioware direction it happened under their leadership.

I want to say thank you to the Bioware doctors for all their great work. They turned a friendship and a passion for video games into an enterprise that made some of my favorite fiction of all time, and certainly my favorite games. I will always appreciate the games their leadership brought into existence, from Baldur's Gate to Mass Effect and everything else as well.

Bioware is my favorite games developer, and without the original vision of doctors Muzyka and Zeschuk it would never have existed. Thank you for creating something that has entertained me more than anything else over the years, and I'm sure will continue to do so in years to come.

Hopefully they can take time off and come back into the industry. They have plenty of resources to create a new company free of EA control.

Don't kid yourself.
The second EA bought them they weren't leaders anymore.

And now you have Bioware today, lying in your face about their games. Oh and making low comments about their fans. And that from a woman who i wouldn´t let write my..well anything../facepalm.

Thanks for bringing up Jennifer Helper, a woman who received death threats because this "community" is so great. Your entire rant does nothing but solidify my opinion of their motives. BioWare has made some poor games these past few years and deserves criticism, but don't tell me all of it is justified.

Didn't the doctors choose to sell to EA?

I think they first sold to Elevation Partners who, in turn, sold them to EA.
