There's no need for prequels, we already know what happened and a sequel in the future, either set in a few decades or centuries later after ME3 will give a more space mistery feel than a prequel set way back in time, eben if they have to make any of the 4 endings canon.

What we need is a sequel trilogy taking place after the original trilogy. With the leviathans or something else as the main threat! Please no prequel! Halo fans waited too long for Halo 4 because of the prequels project.

As for Leviathans i doubt it that is a big mess waiting to happen just like with the Reapers they are too powerful we need a humanized enemy

I would be down for a sequel with Leviathans... and space pirates.

What about a new series that takes place simultaneous to the events of the original trilogy? You can import your saves and hear about Shepard's exploits from afar as you build your own galactic fleet to fight the reapers. Eh?

Co-sign. Please no prequels, FPS, MMO, straight-out action ME games. We want new RPG SEQUEL trilogy with save transfer!

Yea, a prequel just seems so...expected.

It's been done to death.

no Save transfer is not possible if you chose Synthesis then well no wars according to some i think this ME will only lightly touch on the Reaper Saga

^ Realistically, they could bring Shepard back from any scenario if they wanted.

And as far as console saves, Xbox has free cloud saves now, so it could be done even if the next game is on the next gen console (which, it'd better be).

How do you have a sequel that can incorporate all 4 ending choices?

Are you serious ? You would like to play prequels which are connected into story in some way and the outcomes we already know ?

First kind of prequel - previous cycle :
What the **** would be the point of playing it ? More depressive endings ? Wasn´t even better that you get your main antagonist shot by Reaper in 2/3rd of game and you get your asnwer via another ambigious ending and twitter?

Or the other kind of prequel which will took place in some event like Rachni war or Krogan Rebelions ?

Rachni war ? - seriously ? Playing another Alien vs Predator game ?

Or the Rebelion which would end by punishing your main protagonist with genophage - or from other side using your main protagonist as the harbinger of genophage ? What morals would be involved ? Saying in game that mass sterilizing can be excused ?

If you're serious, then, in other words, you want to invalidate other players' choices? What happened to BSN moaning and bitching about how choice doesn't matter?

think about it Destroy was the only one with any sense of Finality i honestly think they just Added the other 2 as choices to appease people who wanted a choice. Destroy seems like the one they would use if the went with a sequel anyway wether or not they either do a prequel which no one likes or a Sequel which canonizes an ending

Another "No prequels please!" from me. Have a bit of hand-waving to do the Magic Reset on the universe if necessary, just no prequels. Before humans got involved is very unlikely and we've not been on the scene for long enough. You could have a smaller-scale story during that time I suppose (no reason everything has to be large-scale altering-the-galaxy type) but the looming ME3 shadow would put some people off that.

I have to agree. I don't really have any interest in prequels or concurrent stories.

That said, I only have a marginal interest in any future ME game, so whatever.

Prequels are pointless when we know how it eventually ends....

ME3 was the biggest letdown of all with broken promises and mediocre design

We will get a generic shooter with a cameo from Marcus Fenix as day 1 dlc

Casey overseeing it can go either 2 ways, we either get the travesty of what was ME3 was, or we get the passion and commitment and the whole team involved masterpiece that was ME1

Agree with OP. Why look back when you can look forward? Forward to the unknown future is vastly preferable to living in the past.

This is truly a double edged sword. If we get a post-ME3 game, then it will answer a lot of questions, but it will also make the series less.... good. They are probably running out of ideas, to be honest. Just look at the ending and Leviathan.
If we get a prequel, it will add richness to the ME universe, as well as (RTS or rail shooter) a diversified series, like Star Wars or Halo. Alas, we wont get some closure with ME3 and the game will be somewhat stained.

This could all be fixed with the Truth DLC, but you KNOW theyre too stupid to take up that opportunity.
