Be honest, we all knew that Dragon Age: Origins will end with the Grey Warden killing the archdemon and ending the blight, but we still were interested in seeing the way with the gathering of allies and Morrigan´s rite and stuff. We knew the outcome, but it still worked.

Thanks for spoiling it.

If it's a prequel I'm not buying it. In fact, if it is anything other than Shepard waking up from an IT dream after choosing destroy, I will not be buying this game.
Dunno about the IT thing but i'll 2nd the rest of it.

think about it Destroy was the only one with any sense of Finality i honestly think they just Added the other 2 as choices to appease people who wanted a choice. Destroy seems like the one they would use if the went with a sequel anyway wether or not they either do a prequel which no one likes or a Sequel which canonizes an endingRadicalDisconnect wrote...

How do you have a sequel that can incorporate all 4 ending choices?
If you're serious, then, in other words, you want to invalidate other players' choices? What happened to BSN moaning and bitching about how choice doesn't matter?
Even if the IT is false and the ending is done, the utopia that Saren and TIM preached about the Reapers bringing was true. The fact your eyes change DOES imply that you 'went with the Reapers'. Even though they have the best epilouges, that still makes it ironic. It has been stated that there is NO CANON ending, but I personally believe in IT, so I think it is.

Halo Reach was a GOOD prequel. Bungie's swansong. ME wishes they had the versitile game variation that Halo has. Also, Bungie (and 343) are such better devs than BIoware, especially now.

No prequel. Push the series forward.
If you want to take it one step further, make Destroy canon and bring back Shepard and Co.

No ifs and buts about it.
A close sequel, take the destruction ending and build upon it, Shepard is alive, I am not ready to let him/her go.

Speaking of which, I stumbled upon this poll, which I'd strongly recommend to do. Give the devs some facts about our wishes (NB: Already 3/4 favor "ME4" compared to other proposals!)....

I'll admit, halo reach could have been better, but a lot of the complaints about out would only apply to people who weren't genetically modified harderned killers (Seriously, how much character development can you go through). But still, I hope the next Mass Effect game doesn't suck, I've had enough sucky games for now :/

How did you know the outcome of KotOR? It's set 4000 years before Episode 1, absolutely anything could have happened. It's a completely different beast.
And you can't do a Mass Effect game set that long before the plot of the trilogy. Not if you want to have human characters.
You people constantly compare apples and oranges. All the damn time.

Sorry, it's not. Please, no rachni wars, no krogan wars, no First Contact wars. Give us the future, give us back exploration (I'll even tolerate scanning if I can take a vehicle across some landscape), give us a great wide galaxy where anything can happen and something new could be around any corner. There are plenty of threats still out there. Rogue geth pissed off about their lost gods, krogan and salarian extremists out to destroy each other, human racism won't die with Cerberus, turian racism didn't die with Saren, the Terminus will continue to crawl with terrorists and criminal empires, and of course there are the Leviathans, ready to take back their place as the "apex species." We've seen the past. Make tomorrow exciting again.Humakt83 wrote...
Sorry, this idea for prequel is way too cool to discard:

Edit: I don't need Shepard back. Pretty sure I don't even want him/her. Let me headcanon the Normandy's epilogue, give us new characters, maybe hear rumors and myths of the old gang, but IMO we should forge new legends for ourselves.

what about GOW? You didn't even talked about that in your reply.
KOTOR yes, set so long ago just like in my Krogan Rebellions over a 1000yrs. Pre-Prothean era set over 50,000yrs ago.
Yeah there's the TFC: War & Rise of Cerberus but that doesn't mean it's going to be a bad game. To say you don't want the prequels really shows you're not proud of the ME games. I'm not proud of ME3 (i wrote a 15 page review on it)
but that doesn't mean I'm not proud of ME1 & ME2. Making the prequels leading up to the events of ME1 is such a great idea IMO
I'm not against Sequels but I would like to see Bioware tackle the Great Vastness of the ME Universe that is so full of Richness in History. To say it's "in the past" shows many fans don't respect history. The experience is there but again it's all about Execution. I'm not looking forward to any ME games if Casey Hudson is going to direct.....cause he failed with ME3 and I'm not happy with his "direction"

We know what happened, not just the outline but even some details. It wouldn't work for an RPG.
But, from what I read, it seems that most of you don't even want an RPG. All this talk about "like Uncharted" or like "Halo"...
Come on, is this still Bioware or what?
