How many want to play Shepard in that new proposed game?

Pretty sure Shepards story is done and if he was in ME4 they made ME3's endings just like Me2's pointless because only destroy makes senseHexley UK wrote...

I have little interest in ME anymore beyond Shepard's story.
I have little interest in EM anymore after how Shepard's story was concluded.
Why should I get invested in another character that'll end up in the ash heap (perhaps literally) once the story's done?
But if Shepard is in ME4 the story is not done.
True they would most likely have to treat Destroy as canon, however a majority of players chose destroy anyway so damage would be minimal although not perfect for everyone I understand.

No. the next ME game has to be an RTS or something completely new. They cant just jump back into the same old ways of doing things. They need to do what Halo and Star Wars do; diversify. It adds richness to the universe. Maybe down the line they can make another choice based RPG, but for now, I just want something new, in the ME universe.
Dude Halo and Star Wars are really not the best examples to put forward for that case...I mean seriously lol.
Also choice based RPG's are what BW does, it's why people are here.

Customizable, with background profile and all of course(sole survivor, war hero...). I want to feel something like playing the first ME again.
PS: NO FPS, theres too much with cod-battlefield-crysis and all, i hate that comunity players and the gameplay.
also theres already Halo themed on space.
Keep the same 3rd person rpg/action gameplay but with more freedom to explore planets/galaxy like the first game.

All shepard was to me, was a voice as I customized my own shepard anyway.
As long as the character is central to the plot, they could name them Shepard Jr, Conroy Twitty or whatever.
Dont get me wrong, I love my shepards, but the ME universe is diverse enough to rely on more than ONE human.
I'd love to play a main character that wasn;t human for once, or they could surprise me and go DA:O on the ME universe and allow you to play several different races if you so chose.
Sure its wishing a bit much, but I think the series would do well without a human main character

I think we need a new hero. Maybe one who already had a part in the game, but not Shepard. I am glad that Bioware seems to think so too.

Just the thought of a "Mass Effect: Origins" makes me sort of excited.

I disagree making the main character human is what made ME feel like you were exploring unknown territory, it inherently made you as a human yourself care more about what happens to Earth.
Playing a member of an alien race thats been around and in space and the council for hundreds or thousands of years would detract from that I think.

I remember the feeling playing the first mass effect, without any idea what direction the game was going to move or who shepard was, creating his background profile story and being aboard the first normandy, exploring the universe and landing in unknown planets... oh god, i want to feel that experience again

I'd love to play another race for one thing. See ME from a different perspective.

...But I'd be more excited for something new. Show me what else the universe has in store. A game taking place entirely on the Citadel would be amazing. First contact with the Turians would be amazing. SO MANY things could be amazing.

I LOVE Shepard, and would be excited to play a younger version of her in the origin stories (Sole Survivor, War Hero, and Ruthless)...

Oh god no, that would be like DA2 all over again.
