Don't know, but he was the Executive Producer of the original trilogy, so why should his role change if his title doesn't? Also, it was Hudson who asked for the fan's view, so it's easy to assume that he will make the final decision on where the franchise goes from now on, with Roy being the one who oversees the daily work during the implementation of that given directive. Of course we don't know the inner workings of Bioware, but this is my best guess.KevinT18 wrote...

It's still Hudson's franchise. He remains the executive producer of Mass Effect as far as we know.KevinT18 wrote...

Genuine, neutral question:
Shouldnt this topic be titled "Yannick Roy wants to hear fan's ideas on a new Mass Effect game"?
Yeah I mean it's gonna be Roy's IP from here, esp important if it's gonna be a trilogy again. I HOPE!
Isn't he Executive Producing the way Speilberg does Falling Skies and Terra Nova and JJ Abrams does Lost and Fringe - i.e. no creative input whatsoever beyond the project's inception?
Yannick Roy is the Studio Director of BW Montreal, which is doing ME next.
Also Hudson and Walters are working on their new IP in Edmonton, I doubt Casey will have time to do more than a Skype chat once a week with MTL
Casey Hudson wants to hear fan's ideas on a new mass effect game

2) Expand on the universe as of the end of ME3. Please don't move 50K or some other abritrary number of years into the future; this would mean working your way up from nothing again. You need to remember that many people have invested 120+ hours into the series so far and they already have vested interests in the galaxy as it stands.

Also within this line of customization is free reign within classes so you can customize your power set with the exception of racial powers, but limit the powers to 4 + class specific grenade. So if your SP Hero is a Krogan Biotic, you could choose any biotic power except, lets say, Stasis (Asari, Salarian) or Reave (Drell, Asari). This means your Krogan Adept could have Biotic Charge, Singularity, Warp, Barrier & Cluster Grenade. However, If you choose a Krogan Vanguard, you'll have to select a combination of Biotic & Combat powers + class grenade. So he might have Singularity, Shockwave, Concussive Shot, Fortification & Lift Grenades.
This type of customization would be great in both SP & MP, giving us more options and no longer being pigeon-holed into power selection. Giving us so much control & options over our experiences would provide nearly unlimited replay value, and that is what we ALL want even if our ideas are different.
p.s. I really want to use a Turian Vanguard with Adrenaline Rush, Carnage, Shockwave, Barrier & Inferno Grenade.

Human would probably set the stage from a human perspective. Geth could be interesting.
If you play a human then you might be a traveling smuggler that in this case is usung a public space ferry to smuggle illegal goods brought on the ferry with the help of corrupt officials.
Then the pirates attack, the passenger next to you, a Quarian official is killed.
In the chaos of the fighting you decide that the suitcase that the Quarian has shackled to his wrists might be valuable.
Eventualy the onboard security personel takes out the pirates with subtle help from you, perhaps some kind of tech sabotage skill that jams their guns so the security forces can overwhelm them. You had taken some precautions in case you would get into trouble with security.
At the end of the day you are a hero and you got a freshly aquired suitcase of Quarian government secrets!
Geth could be very fun since it's a very unique perspective and everyone in the galaxy might have an opinion! When a Quarian insults me I get the Renegade option to shoot them! Just think of the possibilities!
I guess one would still have to obey the laws or get into trouble, "critical mission failure"... unless youre a pirate! or a Spectre.
Geth pirate! Might have been expunged from the Geth consensus for extreme political views, now makes a living raiding Quarian ships.. Then one day you capture a Quarian with sensitive data revealing their governing body (admiralty, (blame the crazy leaders)) is planning to enslave the whole galaxy with the help of a nanosynthetic virus developed by the Leviathans with whom they are in league with in the hopes of restoring their people's former glory.
But noone will belive you since you're a branded as a Geth fanatic who hates Quarians! Most of your pirate friends arn't as interested in becoming heroes so you roam the galaxy trying to poil this nefarious plan. You meet new allies (squadmates and other people) along the way.
Or a Geth C-sec officer that performs an unauthorized search of a Quarian diplomats suitcase and uncover a conspiracy, but because the search was unauthorized and illegal you're discharged of duty and noone belives you! Except maybe one of your friends or witnesses of the incident that might have been on the shuttle.
In the end every character no matter the race, back ground or whatever stunbles on that diplomats secrets one way or another and all get teamed up with the same anoying human.... "Conrad Verner!"
If you're Quarian then your own government brands you as a terrorist/criminal.
In the end you uncover the whole nefarious plan and manage to foil it and bring it out to public attention toppling the Quarian Military Oligarcy, opening up for a new type of Quarian Leadership consisting of the people elected representative of the Conclave. Congratuations, you just turned the Quarians into a demoratic people and stopped the first atempt by the Ancient Leviathan species to restore their ancient Empire.
I can immagine How a Krogan protagonist would sound when Conrad tells him he would like to join his quest!
Krogan: "You want to be my Krant?"
Conrad: What? Yes! it means colleagues right?
Krogan: Humans.... I guess that will have to do for now, come on pyjak, it's time for us to become HEROES!

It must have single-player, be as customizable as possible, and it need not directly connect to an EA server or the like (which I daresay was the cause of the lag of Mass Effect 3).

Edit: wanted to add this is also usually a problem with the console version moreso then the PC counter-parts. It happens occasionally with my PC version but not nearly as much as my 360 copy. I also installed the game to hard drive on the 360 which help a little.

Besides, humanity had Udina, the turians, Saren, and the Salarians had the dalatrass that cared more about the genophage than the reapers.

I can't predict the plans for the next ME, but I think people have made it clear enough that the positive response was based on the fond character focus rather than it setting any basis for a whole new game's narrative structure.spacehamsterZH wrote...

Also I did like new and more locations and world Hubs this time and offline Survival/MP as well. I hope to have different ships and vehicles as well.
I did like to have more and equal romances, I did like to have another Asari and maybe a new female species romances this time like a Female Turian, new species something.
I hope to have our old saved games imported to the new game to see what happened to the galaxy and universe based on your saved game from the previous trilogy. That be nice too.
