Hmnn. A prequel in the Rachni wars or the Krogan Rebellions or even the first contact war would be interesting. Or even the formation of the STG hunting down the League of One.

Actually that last one sounds interesting. Even if you only get to play a Salarian. Especially if you get to play a salarian. It'd be a different style of story from the old "Hero from no where saves the world despite itself." (No I don't know the name of the trope. Feel free to enlighten me.) It would mean your choices have consequences to be sure, they'd have to be on a smaller more personal scale rather than the galaxy altering ones Shepard got to make. That's not a bad thing. For example, make a slip in a conversation and later some of your team dies in an ambush from League member #4 as a result, but if you hadn't you'd never have found out a scrap of information which would let you prevent league #13 disappearing forever. Damned either way paths suck but make for interesting choices/consequences. Maybe finding him leads you to change sides and let them all get away.

But on the down side a prequel could raise some continuity issues. Not as many to be surmounted by continuing after ME3 though, or even in parallel. Although the closer you got to the present, the worse the risk.

I'd like to play a hero who wasn't out to save the world for once. Who didn't have the fate of everyone around them on their shoulders. Something less epic, more investigative, where the plot braches depending on your choices and the end game changes entirely. Where you couldn't just get away with shooting every one in sight. Well, you could, but it'd needlessly harder - like having a rep of 1 in BG series - the guards attack you on sight & the shop keepers refuse to serve you. Maybe that's a different path to completing the game. You don't get to travel in civilized space, but the pirates etc consider you worth talking to rather than just attacking or hiding. Sounds like FO:NV.

Eh, enough rambling.

I think a game during the time-frame of ME3 would be cool, taking place on Earth during the invasion. Could make the galaxy seem a lot bigger by making Earth an actual hub world. No mention of the Characters in the Shepard story arc (except maybe Anderson and Shepard himself.) All new squadmates of different races and backgrounds. Playable as most major races (Human, Turian, Salarian, Asari, Krogan, Geth & Quarian.)

I thought it was quite evident that destroy is the canon ending and the next big threat is going to be in 400 years time when the leviathans rise up and try to destroy the galaxy. Most of the major characters will be dead, but you can still insert a few cameo appearances(such as Liara) who tells stories about the threat of the Reapers to inspire you.

The devs could make some autodialogue be selected based on previously selected opinions expressed by the player in dialogue Wheel conversations. With the possiblility of intercepting the conversation when you think it might be going wrong and the get a dialogue Wheel to make different choices if somehow you Think this is a special case in which you Think different morals stands, for example if you hate Batarians to Quarians or geth you might want to intercept the dialogue where you're helping the poor regugess and instead scold them for havign run out of luck and being in your way! Or possibly fiering a few warning shots at the poor wretches to show your total and utter disdain for them.
Unlike how you usualy treat Humans or HOT Asari!
In other words, smart autodialogue that adapts to your previously stated values with the option of pausing and "finetuning" the experience to your preferences.
Perhaps with NPC's like squadmates noticing and commenting on your unexpected actions, at which you can choose to snap them off or tell them you know what you think or want.
This could open up for some realy confusing Troll like conversations, or for those who plays it seriously it could be a great immerging experience. http://social.biowar...icons/happy.png

What I'm sugesting is, emergency breakes on autodialogue! That would make a lot of people happy and in the cases where the autodialogue works people would just be happy with the way it plays out.

Sample dialogue choices made with dialogue Wheels could set the choice dialogues for certain autodialogue with the option given to the player to change their mind.

allow more choices to be made in the 4th game and make them less obvious as being good or bad, like have some grey areas as what choice would be best etc. Also focus more on single player rather than online, also bring back the old crew members

since I am 1000% against prequels I will pitch this idea...

Character- (race choice preferred but not madatory) You will have 3 main background formats.
-------1. Mercenary- your choice of Blue Suns, Blood Pack, Eclipse, Talon, or CAT6.
-------2. Shadow Broker Agent- Good way to have a ME1-3 tie in with Liara
-------3. Aria Gang Member- Good ME1-3 tie in.
You will report to somebody different depending on background choice (Merc Group Leader, Liara/Broker, Aria).

Setting- Obviously Milky Way Galaxy preferably set post-ME3.

Plot- Rebuilding everything after ME3 obviously but to give a few specifics...
-------1. Aftermath of Genophage Choice- Preventing another Krogan Rebellion
-------2. Rannoch Aftermath- will Peace last
-------3. New Species arrival- Yahg and Raloi
-------4. New Enemy- Possibly Leviathans
-------5. State of Cerberus- Although TIM/Cronos gone Cerberus is not completely dead
-------6. Political Situation

ME3 Endings/fate of Shep/Reapers
-------1. Destroy- Reapers dead, Shep (assuming high EMS) becomes human Councilor
-------2. Control- Shep takes Reapers to Dark Space or flown straight into a Black Hole
-------3. Synthesis- Shep dead, Reapers enter Dark Space.
-------4. Elephant Theory

Unrelated to my above idea- If they make a mid-quel/side-story look on the bright side...We may finally see our ME3 War Assets doing something

Only way I can see sequel to ME3 is if Bioware retcons the ending in support of the shepard indoctrination theory. The other two options leave no room for a sequel. Synthesize and turn everyone into an interconnected peace loving cyborg community would allow no action or conflict. The control ending would be stupid for a sequel because Shepard as Reaper Overlord can use them to quell any threat. The only sequel option leaves destruction as the right choice, which fits perfectly with the indoctrination narritive. The theory makes the ending X10 better anyway.

So yeah retcon, making destroy the right choice. introduce new intergalactic conflict/enemy. keep the me3 combat system, re add me1 RPG elements and you got already got yourself an amazing universe as a basis for another amazing game.

Also... Why don't we get this guy on Earth in ME3 when we make Peace between the Geth and the Quarians? Sigh... Are they too busy building homes for the Quarians if I create a Peace between them?

If me made Peace then there could have been a Geth there and a Quarian representative somewhere else, Tali might be enough I guess.

Victus was there as the Leader of the Turians, but why isn't that Geth prime there when we make Peace? It seems it has become the new mouthpiece for the Geth after Legion dissapeared. Maybe the next Geth Ambassador?

Sugestion for the next game, better story and warasset or faction representation. Or maybe it was too busy keeping the peace on rannoch and building homes for the Quarians to help out with the battle on Earth? Anyway there were several parts of priority Earth that could have been better, mostly related to warasset representation and the lack of character based storytelling. It got a Little bit to Gamey with too much action, which isn't typical Bioware storytelling or fittign for Mass effect.
Then almost all the story telling to compromised by what almost became a monologue with the catalyst.
A better and more dramatic screening would have been appreciated, more exposure for all those people that we loved and wanted to see in action!

I hope that works to sum up my thoughts on priority Earth and the endings. It's also possible that the endings got too complicated that they couldn't even be explained with the EC, even if it did resolve some questions about them.

It's a shame to say but I really doubt ANY of these suggestions will be used, if even considered. I think Bioware already knows what they want to do with the next ME.

Personally, I have no expectations and will take the wait and see approach. It's better for me to do that then feel the burn yet again.

I know I've posted here a time or two, but can I just say "no more pulling Avengers and Predators out of your ass"? That didn't happen in ME2 (making Zaeed more badass by merit of him firing a Mattock full-auto before Cerberus totally ripped him off) and I'm just fine with that.

Any sequel would have to be compatible with MEHEM for me to even start to consider buying.

Note: not saying it should be canon, just "compatible".

Mass Effect : Origins

This is easy, I want to play as all the different races in a pre-reaper galaxy at least 5 years before the ME trilogy. Post-ME3 is unlikely, and I don't even want to bother with that discussion.

"The Mass Effect universe is vast, and Casey and our teams have plans for another full game. “Where to go next?” with such a project has been a question a lot of us have been asking, and we’d all love to hear your ideas."

So there it is, a public invitation to voice what we as fans want for the next Mass effect game. As it's a new game there are no restrictions to what can happen, it could be any time frame, Prothean's against the Reapers or decades after the reaper conflict and beyond. Seeing as there are planned future story dlc's for mass effect 3 id say we can rule out anything to do with Shepard and the characters we know at the moment thoguh.

So what do you want? I think something to do with the Prothean time but playing as the races that were enslaved and taken over by the Protheans, so Javik and his race are the bas guys.

But that's just me, what about you lot?

Casey Hudson doesn't care about what any fans want. They are gonna do what  they are gonna do and they already know what they are gonna do.

I know what I want to see in the next Mass Effect. I would like for BW to make it for PC and then scale the graphics back for console. I don't want to see pixelated textures on the fringes of my monitor in the next game.
