Anyone else think that bioware isn't going to take jack diddly squat from this thread? I'm kind of getting that feeling.

I honestly think they miss 70% of the things fans actually want...

The announcement from them about listening to the fans was just before they dropped some DLC. They have no interest in what the customer wants. Thed vast majority don't want a prequel, but that's what it's going to be.

Don't forget claiming that the majority of their internet fanbase is the "vocal minority", so therefore our feedback doesn't amount to anything.

That is usually the trend as you say. The vocal minority don't usually have a voice despite talking the most. However, this time it would make sense for them to listen to us. Many non forumites and casual gamers have written the game off. Had the end of ME3 been a success, the vocal minority would be as useless as ever. However ME3 left a wreckage, and if the ignoramice devolopers ignore us, they will not get the results they set out to achieve. This will be the time when ignoring us will fail, as a spin off will be futile.

Maybe a spin-off where you play Tali.

Since hearing of Bioware asking for input for the next game and hearing all the rumors as to what it could be from interviews, my opinion other then putting more in for us gamer girls that is a little more special(like a more specific romance only straight female), the idea that keeps coming up has to do with getting away from the main story line of characters. Break away from doing prequels, or delving into NPC pasts. I think we have such a wide array of opportunities to create a new crew, which would allow for more open ability to create from an assortment of races. If we don't want to go too far into the future, how about a character that was a Cerberus operative(and yes I realize this could restrict the race, but it's 1 idea) that decides to go rogue. Either seeing Shepard's fight or wanting to do it for self purposes. The time period could be some where around the 2 years Shepard was "dead". There is plenty of room to explore more of our Galaxy or venturing outside into another galaxy, which opens for a whole new area, new races, new plots. If not a Cerberus member, Alliance sent out to gather more information, to try to pick up where Shepard left off before dying(ME2). I know there are more ideas that others posted, I just hope the gang at Bioware will listen to everyone. I love all the Mass Effect 1-3 characters, but I am ready for new ones with some new story lines. Revisiting them would be so painful not to mention then there are those of us that would want to see characters that would not get the limelight we think they deserve. I would love to see more in detail of Jack's tale, Miranda's tale, Thane's work as an assassin, the Prothean's, ancient Asari, and for me, most importantly Kaidan's training, I have read most of the comics, 2 of the books, Paragon lost and there is so much potential for so much, but I know people will be left out. So for me, my suggestion is step away from those that we already know and love and let's find some new ones and develop their stories.

Can we have an option to put dings dents and scratches on our armour? I look at Shep's armour and it is way to clean looking.

Oh...and more catsuits Posted Image

Hero:
- Race: at least Turian, Asari, Human or Salarian. Krogan and Quarian could also be nice.
- Gender: Male or Female depending on the race.

Setting:

- 300 years after the reaper wars
- The Leviathan are back from the depths and operating in the shadows (they will start to bring chaos to the Galaxy by manipulating key players in the citadel)
- A secret organization (of all races) are plotting to create their own versions of the Reapers to exterminate the Leviathans and bring back order.

- Political instability and power struggles at the council
Council races are: Asari, Quarian, Krogan, Human, Turian and Salarian

All races are devided:
- Krogans: 1/4 galactic federation, 3/4 extremists for Krogan supremacy
- Salarians: Secret agenda to mutate the Asari so they no longer appeal to other races, plotting with the Turians to bring back the genophage and working on a computer virus to wipe out the Geth entirely.
- Asari: All should get along (working as intended for Asari domination through reproduction) They periodically send Asari Commando special forces to assassinate key leaders of all races that are trying to divide the council (good or bad)
- Quarians (Geth): 1/2 Geth and 100% Quarian union part of the galactic federation, 1/2 Geth embrace Reaper concept and wish to bring back the reapers.
- Turians: Becoming more and more paranoid and consider pulling away from the galactic federation as they now trust no one.
- Humans: Completely unreliable. Cerberus is now known as the Phoenix (research and development while fighting for human interest within and as part of the council) They are now totally lawful and good, but are blamed for many human atrocities which are in fact the result of super corporations with hidden agendas that only think of their own interests.

Hero' background: A young space pirate, captain of a space rust bucket that will find himself (willingly or not) caught up in the galactic turmoil. The adventure begins. Has a crew and a few squad-mates to start with.

The team:
- Hero
- Human male (asian) Engineer: him OR the black human female will betray you at some point*.
- Human female (black) Infiltrator: her OR the asian male will betray you at some point*.
* You will need to choose sides during a key argument situation... You cannot please them both.

- Liara T'Soni as a now 420 year old Justicar Adept (who knows to much about the Leviathan's plans and is trying to fight them). If you decide to help her, she will become a valuable member of your team. If you decide to be rude to her, betray her or not help her, she will die.

- Grunt as the 300 year old leader of a small rebel group composed of ALL races that don't want to be part of the Council, preferring to be "free". Aria is also part of that group but will not join your group. Same as Liara, your choices of helping him or not might cause his demise.

- Salarian male Soldier (descendent of Kirahe)
- Quarian Infiltrator (male)
- Turian female sentinel
- female Drell adept

Hidden Character:
- Asari Blademaster vanguard: You'll think she's just a pole dancer from some random club. You'll find out that she's after you as she will try to kill you at some point and you will never see it coming. She's a bad guy. An Asari commando vanguard with a nano-blade katana that will constantly get in your way and cause you trouble. However, with time, effort and key dialogue options, she may become a love interest for both paragon or renegade hero (male or female) and will change sides. If not, you will have a final showdown and kill her as a boss fight.

I want to see more races, and I want to drive vehicles similar to the Mako and Hammerhead! Not being able to ride in any new vehicle in particular in ME3 was a big disappointment for me.

fanbase said they wanted more time with past squadmates. We got that

fanbase said they wanted more time with their LI's. We got that

fanbase said they wanted another hub. We got that

fanbase said they wanted less really dark/gritty. We got that

so I say again, I think they did listen and we got one of the most well recieved DLCs in the trilogy.

If Jack Wall or the composers don't come back to score the game, put someone well-known and passionate in their shoes. Like Brian Transeau. Or somebody good.

Ultimately there is one thing that I would love that I was sorely disappointed about in the storytelling of Mass Effect and that is to have your choices really matter in a discernable way.

The major drawcard of a franchise like ME was the ability to really "choose your own adventure" through the majority of the plot. And it is how it was promoted as well. The third game disappointed a lot of fans because it seemed like we got railroaded into a single ending with only slight adjustments that didn't seem to make a massive difference to the overall story.

For me, the appeal of ME was the character development, the story and the character relationships. And this is something that Bioware are well known for. The actual game mechanics aren't so bothersome to me as the strength of the storytelling, and it feels as though the lack of true choice cheapened the events and choices you made in the first two games.

Do any of you remember those Conflict Army games on PS1/PS2? You had a team of 4 people which you took turns in controlling and getting into position.

One was a heavy gunner, the other explosives, one was a sniper and the other was... I think an all rounder type solider.

Anyway an RPG Mass Effect game using those tactics could be good. Maybe allow you to create the team captain, and then have dev created team members. So much like how you can control everyone in Dragon Age, but still have a good connection to your created character.

Call it "Mass Effect: Spectre". Human, Salarian and Asari are your starting race options. Each has an 'Act One' on their respective homeworlds. After they prove themselves, they are taken to the Council for Spectre testing and training.

Make it incredibly RPG'ish. Have different quest lines based on your species. Have the overarching plot be a bit more sneaky and have your character put in less of a spotlight. Start with a small 2-person ship and as you progress and gain allies, you get bigger ships.

Different companions for each race with a few of the same ones running through each Species Arc.

That doesn't sound too bad actually. If they insist on making another ME game (I don't have anything against the series, including ME3, it just feels...finished to me) I would like to play as another race, NOT human...that would make it interesting enough for me to buy it :P

i would have to disagree with that theres so many stories to tell pre or post ME3 they could even do a game taking place during the 2 years Shepard was dead

Don't rush the game out. That is pretty much the entire reason for everything people didn't like about me3. There were a lot of things that I actually could see were going to be there but got cut short because the time period to make the game was too short. That and the well known ending problem was all due to not having enough time.

I'm sorry you are being made to make another game in the mass effect line. Just take the time for the next game to be solid because I know Bioware can still make good games. It is just a matter of being allowed to have enough time to make them.
