I would love to play as different races, even if either gender only has one voice actor with the appropriate filters.

Yeah I was thinking about that, the salarians could work but i think the krogan would be to overpowered. But then again could just not have the health buffs and keep the stats the same as another race. I thought the quarians would be good but they're not really front line fighters with the suit leaks and all, but i guess that didn't stop bioware with Tali haha

Another cool idea could be an origin story for Aria, playing as her arriving on omega as a nobody and slowly gain respect and becoming ruthless and over throughing the primarch.

I would like a game following Anderson and the First Contact war. The Illusive man becoming the Illusive man and how and why he started Cerberus.
Another game Id like, is a game Following the world after Shepard is gone. I loved the Edi Joker relationship and would like to see life in ME Universe after Synthetics and humans mingle and begin to interact, date, etc now that it would be more acceptable. What would the new threat be? With the Geno cured, Qurians with a planet and Geth not the boogie man, What does that mean for society now and how are the races acting and interacting to one another? Can we pick our race for our PC?
Anything you come up with BW. Even if I didnt care for the ending of ME3 before the extension but I didnt whine about it and never went back to look at the extension due to mental exhaustion from the broken mess SP was...MP was the only thing that worked well, so I stuck with that after finally being able to have the game not singularity on itself a beat it. My main issues where with the lack of play testing the game and all the game breaking bugs taht forced me to stop playing repeatedly, so I have no issue playing another game of your choosing, but please for the love of the Goddess, TEST your game!
Yr PS4 games better not be so glitchy...

Only problem playing as Anderson during first contact is that you have to play as Anderson and a lot people want to play as other races. Plus we would all kinda know how it ends, sounds alright for a fps set campaign game but not an rpg like the next mass effect will hopefully be. It would be interesting to see just after first contact though, seeing humanity slowly fitting into the galactic community and the other races reactions.

I seriously do not want to see an origin story.
I was really happy with the super hero feeling you got with ME2, and the romance options, keep that kind of stuff.
I have faith that Bioware knows where to go.

Mass Effect: First Contact
Its the First Contact war as seen through the eyes of Anderson, or a new character.

Have a separate canon from everything that happened in ME2 and ME3. Don't try to have the antagonists connected to the Reapers in any way. Spend 3 or 4 games exploring more concentrated and fleshed out facets of the Mass Effect setting. Don't try to motivate players with the whole galaxy being in danger. Have more localized threats. If the Reapers are to be reintroduced at a later date have some of the side missions in the other games hint at them but not be overt until the game they are the antagonist for.

All I have to say is this, if BioWare decides to continue giving us annoying, frustrating, aggravating... Binary Choices and Auto-Dialgoue, instead of giving us more ways to express ourselves as the protagonist of the story. I have no interest in Mass Effect 4

Dunno if this has been brought up already or not, but as for a plot for a Post-ME3 game I'd like to see them pick up the dropped storyline from ME2. You know, the one about the suns dying early that Tali was investigating when you recruited her.
If they can figure out how to handle the various endings of ME3, I don't particularly care how, I'd like to see the following:
-Open world exploration. Give me a reason to explore uncharted planets and I will, I love that ****.
-Lots of side missions and Faction(Species) Quest-lines. I wanna know the new status quo, and see what happened to the various species, and how they're coping with the after effects of the Reaper war.
-Ship Customization. Your ship your base of operations, the center of your universe in these types of games. I want more say in how its run. Like the upgrades from ME2 and I want to choose my crew members. Maybe have side missions to get a pilot or head engineer, stuff like that. Doesn't have to be a lot of choice, just a choice would be nice.
-Space combat. This one is pretty self explanatory
-The development of squad mates and romance options are important to me as a player. I need to care about my team mates and to do that I need to understand them, find out what makes them tick. Even if I don't like them as a "person", just being able to elicit that emotional response is a win. This was done wonderfully in the series thus far, so really just keep up the good work.
-Personally, like many others, I'd like the ability to choose my own species. I loved that feature and how it was implemented in Dragon Age: Origins, and I enjoyed how the background choices for Shepard impacted the game in their subtle ways.
-Lastly, I may be alone on this, but i enjoyed the little mini-games of hacking and such in ME1 and ME2. I liked feeling skilled when I had to break into a difficult container or datapad.
Just my 2cents

Took a month break from playing - thought I would do a quick MP game again and now I can't open up the game?!!?. ..2 hours later Origin is still ''updating'', ME3 is just checking downloads, DA2 (fully installed) has NOTHING installed according to Origin, and Wasted 50 mins trying to connect to the desperate E.A. support to Log the issue in an actual Ticket, and ended up here again 3 hours later not able to play - What the Hell is this?
Sorry - I bought and paid for this game - Why can I not play it???
Anyone else having the same experience?
And if Anyone has a direct link to log an issue with E.A. please send to me!
I'm sick of it now, cause 3 hours ago I thought it would be great to jump back in - now it was just 3 hours wasted.
What would be great in any new game:
Like Baldurs Gate 1+2, Knights of the Old Republic 1+2, Witcher 1+2, Elite (back then) And Freelancer!!
- Let us play the game without any other interference.
Thanks for any help folks!
Fyn.
Yeaa - I can still play DA:O cause I have it on disk! Shame about all the other ones. DA2, ME1, 2, 3 - Yes not able to play any of 'em...no thank Origin - no support - WHERE do you contact E.A support at this point - there is no email, there is no phone support - that is very bad.

Take the Charles Dickens approach. Throw out brainstorming ideas on a forum that only they can post on and see if any interesting suggestions or ideas come from the community. Almost a daily stream of thought. The ideas don't have to be anything that they intend to put in the game but the ideas might inspire some other part of the story. readers might be able to figure out a larger trend but because it is any idea that comes to mind if is hard to tell what is or is not being taken seriously for the current game. It also helps to post under a single name for the forum so that the actual origin is not known to the reader and bias opinions by the player of a particular author won't alter their judgement of the content. It also helps to maintain character, narrative, and setting consistency.

Open world with lots of detail. New and old places to explore.
Choose a race.
RPG still like ME1 was suit upgrades and all that.
2000+ years in the future.

A lot of people are talking about "open world" in Mass Effect 4.
I'm curious as to what exactly they mean by that. Do they want 'space' to be open-world, with hours of travel time between systems with an endless number of systems and planets to explore, or would they simply wish to 'jump' from system to system as we already do? Or do they mean "open-worlds" with whole planets mapped out for us to endlessly farm for "crafting materials" or hunt randomly generated enemies?
Even in open world games there's still limitations somewhere, so should BioWare focus on just two or three ships/stations/planets to map out in detail? Or should they focus on making space more open with planets and other locations treated as town/dungeon-type mission sites? Both would be asking too much.
The former scenario would significantly limit the scope of the game, and ignore most of the Mass Effect universe, while the latter scenario is much like what we've already got. They already tried to do a more open world exploration of planets in ME1 and while some us enjoyed it, most people complained about the "Mako missions".
Either way, I just don't see that in the cards for a game like Mass Effect. I've played most of the Fallout and Elder Scrolls games, and while I enjoyed them well enough, that kind of thing doesn't appeal to a broad swath of gamers. I'm a completionist myself, and endlessly wandering around in the wilderness gets boring after awhile, especially when you rapidly become too uber for anything to challenge you.
I would rather see BioWare take a page out of Deus Ex's book when it comes to level (mission) design: Instead of showing us this beautiful location while having us walk a narrow corridor through it; actually map the entire mission site out and allow us to explore it. Hide numerous solutions to different challenges throughout, each requiring different skills or approaches to exploit. Where a soldier might go in guns blazing, infiltrators and engineers might bypass security and avoid enemies, whereas biotics might resort to raw power to overcome obstetrical and opponents. If the missions required more exploration and problem solving, we wouldn't be concerned with exploring the whole planet beyond.
I also would like to see space and the protagonist's ship take on a larger role than simply being the mission hub and 'base', there could be actual interactions with other ships, and more dynamic navigation and exploration of the galaxy. The ship could require maintenance, upgrades, and crew who may benefit or detract from aspects of the ship's performance (example: assigning James instead of Garrus may hurt the ships combat capabilities, etc.) Explore this side of technology in the ME universe. We don't need a space sim or strategy game, but rather a situation where command decisions actually have meaningful outcomes (think Star Trek or Battlestar Galactica), where bad ones could get the ship damaged or destroyed.
In short we don't really need an open world Mass Effect game, just mission locations and events that are LESS LINEAR and MORE dependent on the player's actions.

The Mako itself as an idea was far from terrible, it was its controls ( had no problems with this, assuming its a Console thing ) and that pretty much all planets where copy paste versions of 3-4 base ones, same goes for buildings in these missions. If done well planetside exploration with a vehicle would work out extremely well, as long as its not done like ME1 where you visit 30 different worlds all looking like the same 3-4 with next to no detail on them other then dirt.

I'd like to see another trilogy set a century or two after ME3. That's enough time to put some distance between the two trilogys and start fresh but maintain the legacy of Shepard and his crew. Some, like the asari, might still be alive and could be added as cameos to the game. And please make it possible to import our save from ME3.
As for the main enemy... I think we've seen enough of the Reapers for this cycle. Make us regret we destroyed them, so throw us into a nasty and brutal Galactic war with even less black and white decisions.
