No they aren't. Keeping Eve's data is a Paragon choice, rewriting the geth can still lead to peace on Rannoch, and Synthesis... what Renegade choices are needed for that?

What data does eve have? Do you mean Maleon's data?

True about the Data. My mistake, and thank you for the correction.

The next game should be set in the aftermath of the war with the galaxy getting back on it feet. And it should make sense or expand on the endings (save for the destroy ending which show that Sheppard lives)

Dose Casey read these ??

Most things I'd love to see were already mentioned (and it's probably too late anyway^^). My greatest wish would be playable aliens, I really want to play as an asari (and visit thessia when it's not in ruins/a warzone). I hope humans are less special in the next games. If we were the only race in the galaxy, fair enough, but in a multi-raced adventure like Mass Effect, it would be nice for someone else to hold the trump card occasionally.

Same here.

I would like to see the playable aliens to also include races like the Rachni and Elcor. Now obviously a Rachni PC in the SP campaign would be out of the question, but being able to jump into the fray as Rachni warrior in MP would be a most welcome addition to future titles.

It would be nice to see that the galaxy is inhabitited by more than humans, humans with tentacles on their heads, humans with three fingers, humans with four eyes, etc.

One small problem is that most of the nonhumanoid species have distinct physical hindrances; elcor are extremely slow and work best as battle platforms with infantry support of other races, and hanar are quite weak outside of water. Rachni would work, but do they use guns at all, or would they use only acid?

There is also two major things to consider: Animation and models.

I bet it is impossible to model any of those races to use same weapons and animation skeletons. Let alone offer satisfying/balanced gameplay.

I am not saying that it would be easy, but it would help lend more 'uniquieness' to the ME setting.

If we could see the non-humanoid races in bigger roles/as playable options then ME would really stand different apart from other mainstream sci-fi settings like Star Wars, and Star Trek.

As of right now the only major difference between these settings are the means of FTL travel; all three are seemingly populated soley by humans and near human aliens.

I think the game needs to get away from any of the original ideas, and avoid making the story have anything to do with Shepard. I also feel like the next game, and if there is a trilogy to this one, that there should not be an imminent threat like aliens invading or something; its been done.

I want a new Mass Effect with more RPG elements!
-Exploration of planets, similar to ME1.
-Playable races.
-A system that enables choice and evolution of classes for squadmates would be very interesting.
-More options for customization of weapons and equipment.

A default unisex first name would be nice (Alex, Robin, Sam... Hraghaazaz'oh, Ajhfkksf or Xejabfgg'h if alien) so that my in-game friends don't have to keep referring to me by my last name. It just makes my character seem like a pretentious, narcissistic jerk.

Oh God no.

Then I'd only get to choose my surname. Who cares about surnames?

Yeah their tentacles allow them to use guns.

Have you played the game at all? Have you seen the Elcor? They would be so useless to play as (unless it's in MP and even then it's not such a good thing) because they are just too slow.

I have played all three games & DLC.

Elcor are slow, but just because we have only ever seen them walk (and we have only seen them in 'civilian areas' to boot) doesn't  mean that they are incapable of bursts of speed. We never see Shepard and Co. Eat, or go to the bathroom either, that doesn't mean that eating and pooping is nonexistent in the ME setting.

Besides, even if the Elcor are deemed incapable of moving faster then a standard walk, we still have a precedence of a slow lumbering ally in the form of the Geth Juggernaut in ME 3 MP; also add to the fact that the lore describes the Elcor in combat as capable of carrying the equivalent of tank cannons on their backs I can easily see an Elcor functioning as a mobile weapons platform, or a giant, high offensive character kit, to the Geth Juggernaut's giant, defensive character kit.

Also, let's not forget the other non-humanoid aliens like the Rachni, who are quite capable of taking out armored columns with nothing more then acid spit and claws; and then only a few weeks after establishing a colony. I can see a Rachni soldier being a melee "monster" in combat; plus there are even biotic capable Rachni (according to ME 1) so it's not like the Rachni only have to rely on tooth and claw to fight.

For multiplayer, please don't make us HAVE to buy reinforcement packs just to unlock every single character. It's unnecessarily time-consuming, and could take several months or more just to unlock ONE character. Other than that however, just keep making improvements to the gameplay and modes/multiplyer maps. For single player, more exploration of alien worlds, playable alien races, and new and interesting characters that are just as fun and memorable as the old ones. :)

I agree with you they shouldn't try and top Shepard (or anyone from the trilogy) just make the character's enjoyable on their own merits. For MP the weapon leveling system should work like in SP you use credits (in game of course) to upgrade them, maps with playable vehicles in MP would be a nice touch as well.

Playable Aliens. Something I liked in Arkham City was playing the Catwoman storyline. Seeing the action unfold from different points of view would be fantastic.

MULTIPLAYER. Do not drop this, I love ME3 Multi. If possible, more interactive environments on the maps. Just imagine:

You and the team are squaring off against one of the hostile factions when everyone is attacked by a Thresher Maw. Or as you stalk your enemy a pack of varren is stalking you. Zero G or low/high gravity environments.

Alrighty then.

You don't click investigate very often, do you? Or read codex entries. The Elcor move slow cause that's what they are, or rather, that's how their homeworld has molded them, they can't move fast.

From wikia:
Their large, heavy bodies are incapable of moving quickly, but they possess a rather imposing stature and immense strength, as well as thick, tough skin.

That's all fine and dandy but that's utterly useless in your squad, unless we're going to have RTS-like battles. Then I can see Elcor artillery playing a role, otherwise no.

Also, let's not forget the other non-humanoid aliens like the Rachni, who are quite capable of taking out armored columns with nothing more then acid spit and claws; and then only a few weeks after establishing a colony. Yeah. Lets add a squadmate you can't talk to unless you have the Rachni Queen on speed dial (maybe have her install one of those organic QEC's in your head?) or your farts carry the necessary pheromones.

The way the MEU is built up, what these races can do and what not, they can't be part of your team. They can only be if special conditions are met:

Elcor: mission on high gravity world.
Hanar: underwater mission (in which they would be AWESOME)
Rachni: I have no idea. You'd have to learn them speech first.

Let me put it this way, Garrus is my character's best friend, but when they interact this is what I hear:

Shepard: Hey, Garrus! How's it going?

Garrus: Hey, The Shepard, Messianic Warrior and Bringer of Galactic Peace, not much. Just calibrating.

Garrus: Is your Greatness still up for some drinks tonight?

Shepard: Absolutely! See ya later.

Garrus: The Shepard, The Holy Unifier, The Lord-Ruler of Synthetics and Organics Alike, don't forget you owe me three beers.

Shepard: In your dreams.

So yeah, default first name please.

Idividual Rachni soldiers and workers are intelligent enough to work with other races without constant intervention of the Queen. Now it's true that having an in depth converastion with the lesser Rachni about the state of galactic politics would be out of the question; but in combat, a simple order of "Cover our backs!", or "Hold this point!", or "Attack!" could be easily understood and followed.

Obviously, that wouldn't work for a full fledged companion, but who's to say that the Rachni don't have a similar heirarchy to that of the "Aliens" from the Alien Franchise, wherein a young queen is (more or less) an intelligent, and slightly larger worker/soldier? We have only ever seen the one Queen in the three ME titles, why couldn't the new games have the Queen finally start to establish a homeworld, and a young queen travels with the new PC in order to see more of the galaxy, and to scout out a new location to establish a nest of her own?

It would not be something completly new to BioWare, I mean in two of their most recent franchises (DA and ME) we have been given unique 'one off' characters as companions in the form of:

  • Legion (ME 2) - the one geth that could talk to us.

  • Shale (DA:O) - the one golem that could talk to us.

  • Justice (DA:A/DA 2) - the one spirt it that could talk to us.

  • Cole (DA:I) - the one demon/spirit that can talk to us.

Having a Rachni companion in the form of a young queen wouldn't be stretching the lore anymore then all of those listed companions already have, and it would provide us with an actual 'alien' outlook on the galaxy. We could explore the Rachni's hive mind in more detail, see how it colors their perspective on things.

People are always going on about how we need more diversity in BioWare games; well apart from Legion (ME 2 version) and Justice (DA:A version), I haven't seen any companions that break the mold of "human-like". I mean you could take all of your other alien squad mates from ME 1 - 3 and replace them with a human and their characters would be exactly the same. All of their outlooks and perspectives are direct human anologues; mostly comprised of daddy issues; those aren't aliens, that's a human wearing a rubber suit.

Now don't misunderstand me, I loved all of the companion characters throughout all games, but (IMO) none of them really fit into the "Stranger in a Strange land" theme as well as the more 'alien' aliens would; like the Rachni.

No. Despite the downsides, the ability to name your character is a must in an RPG.

Maybe they could use a nickname as the default address, like Joker, but no default first name.

It's sacriclege and herecy to even suggest it.

I must disagree here. I see how a custom name would be important in an old school, text-based RPG, but in a game like this your custom name means absolutely nothing. It only appears in the title of your save files and possibly (although I haven't really noticed it anywhere else) in the insignificant bits of supplemental text in the game proper. Personally, I'd rather my character's friends referred to him/her by his/her (default) first name like normal people. But then again, I've never placed much importance on custom names so it could be just me.
