Just because Casey no longer works for Bioware and this thread hasn't been locked or the title hasn't been changed, doesn't mean the employees don't look at this thread. I wouldn't be surprised if they liked an idea from this thread and used a part of it in the game or at least considered the idea and maybe changed it to fit what they want in the game.. I might be wrong, but who knows.

There was a post from a Bioware employee on the very last page....Casey Hudson left Bioware in August of 2014. He now works for Microsoft.
Hence the title of this thread is unintentionally funny because if Casey ever cared about your Mass Effect suggestions, he certainly doesn't now and hasn't for close to a year.
That Bioware never edited or locked this thread but still has it stickied to the front page, even though Casey Hudson now works for a competitor, is also funny because it shows how much attention the company actually pays to this thread or forum.
This is the thread where your suggestions go to die. No one is listening.

Thank you, @pdusen, I was just looking for an abandon thread image.
So, since this thread is being paid attention, might get back to suggestions:
Squad banter.
It's great in Dragon Age and what little we get in Mass Effect is pretty good as well, but it's been a lot more limited than in DA.
Since ME is going to have bigger maps that are going to take more time, are we going to get squad banter to make the trip less tedious?
It strikes me the original would've seemed a lot less tedious with that change.
Also: If you're bringing back encounters with Thresher Maws, either give warning before they happen, give us back the Mako's cannons or make it a purchaseable upgrade so we don't need to run screaming every time they appear.
Otherwise, make them so they're in scripted chase sequences and few and far between at that.

Since the next Mass Effect is using the same engine as Inquisition, please please please do good QA on the multiplayer. Inquisition still has several multiplayer bugs 7 months after release: unable to rez, repeated unable to connect to session, infinite load, engine not taking into account manufacturer overclocked GPU's and arguing with the OS over what the clock rate is leading to a crash, etc. I thoroughly enjoyed ME 3 multi. I want to enjoy Inquisition multi. The bugs keep me from doing so. It's even kept me from buying the single player DLC because the bugs are so aggravating.

Few things regarding rumors about ME:N
- If you are going to add some kind of wartable, limit mission timer to one hour, please. Eight hours is way too much.
- Less human centrism. No doubt we'll have human view on story, but no need to make plot around it. Enough of okay alien faces on requests to give up everything in order to save humanity.
- Speaking of abilities, they were getting more fast paced every game. But how about specializations which give abilities extra effects for longer recharge and cast time?

That first point. My biggest concern.
I don't want time restrains on resources that way. I'd prefer something like "if those resources are deployed here, they won't be available until after the next quest is completed" or something worded better.
The whole "recharging resources for hours or days" thing just brings it down to a "Clash of Clans"-esque gameplay mechanic :|

My personal opinion:
- Since you are sharing some assets and the same modified Frostbite engine as in DA:I, i would assume that you maybe are using the same lip syncing data as they used in DA:I. If thats the case please make it better, the lip syncing in DA:I was very stiff and unatural at times.
- Don't add anything similar to the Wartable in ME:N, please for the love of god don't!!!
- I would rather prefer a real time feature for gathering materials etc, like youve had in previous Mass effect games.
- Don't make silly and boring fetch quests, im looking at you DA:I and ME3!
- The story and everything is probably written and all but, i would rather play a game with 30 hours of memorable content than 100 hours of boring side activities etc.
- Include atleast some of our favorite species in ME:N, or all.
- Since exploring is important in ME:N make it meaningfull and don't make certain pathways i would prefer being able to get to a location from a 360 degree angle like in ME1.
- MORE ASARI ![]()
Thats about all i could come up with at the moment.

Well, the thing with DA:I was that there much more table missions than story ones. Tie table missions to fetch quests is not an option either.

It was an alright way to expand lore, but that was really the best you could say for it.
A better effect could be achieved by having officers on the ship or crew members who could do one of a number of tasks every now and then or after a given conversation triggers it to give the ship and crew benefits, like a fusion between the upgrade feature in ME2 and the war table, but with more character interaction.
I love lore and world building, but DA:I took a few too many cues from Lord of the Rings when it came to world building over character interaction.
On an unrelated note, I'm beginning to think the Andromeda thing in that supposed marketing survey leak, if it was authentic was to gauge reactions to an ultimately gratuitous and unnecessary change. A Red Herring, if you will.

Yeah, I hope there is no "DAI War Table" in new ME. Those resource gathering text quests were annoying as hell and rather pointless.
But, let say if you could see the status of your colonies, enemy movements and for instance if they or you could occupy the colonies and you get defend/attack events and quests... that wouldn't be so bad.

I wouldn't mind a war table if it was like... fun, and not just "click on thing, wait 30 hours". It made me appreciate Assassins Creed 4's fleet mini-game, and that wasn't that great. I did like that some of the missions had stories to them though, and also gave you a better impression of the size of the inquisition - but the Galaxy Map already kinda did that.

If that leak is anywhere near accurate, I'd expect there to be more of a Starcraft-style base-building.

idea/sugestion? I know its late for this, but what the heck
When Shepard is made Spectre in ME1, a very weathy character is there to see, but pays close attention to Shepard talking about the reapers. This character can be of any species. He/she belongs to the billionaires club. He/she has all billionares to gather to talk about the future and what Shepard said. They hire a bunch of people, scientists and engineers, to see about finding a way to stop the reapers or at least find a way to survive. They also hire others to go to a junkyard and grad a few scrapped dreadnoughts to be rebuilt.
The billionares find an uninhabited planet to start fixing the dreadnoughts. They hire thousands and have them live on the planet including their family members.
A few of them were at the Citadel when Sovereign was destroyed. A few ships quickly moved in and grabbed the reapers drive core. They were very careful. They were able to reverse engineer it to be used on the dreadnoughts.
Once they heard about the death of Shepard, they knew time was not on their side and the the reapers could enter the galaxy at anytime. With the dreadnoughts repaired, they load them up with whatever supplies they could. The scientists were working feverishly to find a way to leave the galaxy and hopefully maybe another galaxy for help.
They found a galaxy that would take a long time to get to. They were also working on creating a wormhole. While they were testing, they learned Shepard came back and was dealing with the collectors. The news gave them new motivation. They were able to create a wormhole, but only for a very brief time. They also didn't know if they would survive or where it leads. They took there chances.
After a few more months of testing, they finally decided to go especially since the reapers finally entered the galaxy. Surprisingly they heard Shepard may of found a way to stop the reapers. The group was uncertain. They also knew previous cylces had no luck stopping the reapers. Without hesitation, they went for it. They succeeded in travelling to another galaxy. It seemed everything made it with no problem.
Immediatley they are met by an uhknown species with what looked to be a lot of ships aiming their weapons at them. They were directed to a large space station where they docked. They had no way to translate. Fortunately the species was able to understand. The billionares explained why they came to the galaxy. They also didn't realize that the hole they created also moved them ahead 200 years into the future.
The species they can in contact with wished to cause no harm unlewss they were provoked. There technology was nothing anyone has seen before. They realized this species had the power to defeat the reapers. They were willing to help if they wouldn't have a problem with some of there species decide to make the Milky Way their home.
The species helped perfect the groups wormhole to send them back to 2186 where the new species will help fight the reapers. The MENext ends here.
The game could start in this new galaxy with the folks talking about how they ended up there like I posted above. During that time they learn from this new species and they learn from us.
New ME game with Shepard. They enter back in the Milky Way just before the crucible is to be attached to the Citadel.
Hackett meets with them and the new species. He sees the fleet the new species has figures he has a chance to beat the reapers without the crucible. He also introduces Shepard. A memeber of the new species joins the squad. Hackett tells Shepard to use the new technology to get her/him to darkspace to see if there are anymore reapers to deal with while the fleets deal with the reapers in the Milky Way. The game goes from there.
The mian character from that game can be used for whatever or have it something like how Hawke was in DAI.
This is only an idea/suggestion.

That was....interesting, I'll give you that.
Clever way to retcon the endings.
Sadly, they've put too much stress on "Shepard's story is over"
And I wouldn't wanna cheapen the new main character if he's just gonna end up playing second fiddle to Shepard in the next game.
I'd much rather have new badass character( as much as I miss Shepard )

I never said Shepard would be in the next game. Only that he/she would be mentioned or Shepard doesn't even have to be mentioned. The next game, the one currently being developed, would have its own main character and when the game moves back to the milky way, it ends. The game after would feature Shepard as the lead and the main character , from the game that is currently being developed, would have a role similiar to what Hawke had in DAI

I'd prefer to think it was the asari saying as the councilor spoke of, "We have preservation of society to consider." Because that way, you don't have to include Shepard at all.

Alright, I'll bite:
Singleplayer
- Branching mission paths based off decisions you make throughout that lead to different conclusions
- Have more than two team mates be involved in a mission. Like in ME2's suicide run, perhaps choose team mates to perform tasks parallel to what you're doing. The right choice means the best results of course
- Remove paragon/renegade. Let the major decisions be morally gray, and everything in between can just be pure personality choices
- More armor customization! Please (and don't attach stats to the various options, just let us choose based on pure aesthetic taste)
Multiplayer
- Let us and our friends cruise around on these vast planets simultaneously, perhaps in our own appropriate vehicles
- Perhaps have a squad leader that's in charge of making minor, but somewhat significant decisions that affect the mission's outcome (ex: defend these stranded Khet and earn their reconnaissance boost, or attack the enemy base and gain a solid foothold if successful)
- Objective-based missions. It shouldn't just be endless hoard mode, there should be specific things that need to be done.
- Please take advantage of this exploration-y feel that you guys are going for! I don't want massive worlds to explore in SP while having corridor style missions in MP. I want tons of exploration in both modes!
