For sake of topic I'm using male shepard and I.T.
I know it's long, but enjoy and discuss.
Key Decisions/Main Points in Series ME1+ME2+ME3
-Every assest you aquired in ME3
-Virmire Survivor (Spectre)
-Love Interest
-Who's dead or alive (enemies/allies)
-Council doa
-Rachni Queen doa
-Crucible: didn't fire in ME3
-Normandy still in space near citadel
-Geth and Quarians
-Genophage Cure
-Leviathans
(Notes- You fight against enemies from ME2+ME3 along with new enemies. If you choose to play as a renegade Shepard will kill friends instead of saving them in key situations.)
MASS EFFECT 4
Opening Sequence
-5min video of war against reapers w/ all of Shepard’s assets from ME3 fighting against reapers, and eventually being destroyed. Battle shows how epic the war is. At the end of the video a new cycle starts. Mass Effect 4 logo, Press Start.
No matter what decision you made at the end of ME3, commander Shepard is Indoctrinated (early stages).
-The plot of the game is about Shepard battling indoctrination and trying to regain control of his mind +destroying reapers. (note- You have to option to go full renegade and aid the reapers in the war, ultimately ending this cycle. It would play out similar to paragon but it would be different).
Intro
-Starts exactly where ME3 left off. (Based on which ending you chose in ME3 you get a completely different cinematic of Shepard waking up on Earth in London, seriously wounded, being rescued by some alliance soldiers. After experiencing the first signs of indoctrination.
-Shepard wakes up in an underground camp on Earth and must find a way to escape and rendezvous with the Normandy.
Tutorial
-After waking up and asking a few questions Shepard and a few alliance soldiers fight their way through a few streets in London battling reaper scouts until the reach the Normandy. These 2 alliance soldiers stay aboard the Normandy. Once aboard they retreat to outer space to regroup and analyze the current situation. All fleets retreat from battle and go into hiding, while reapers continue harvesting those fallen in battle along w/ those who have already been collected. They also continue their assault on organics searching for those who have hidden.
-The Normandy crew must find out why the crucible didn’t fire. They determine that they have to go to the citadel and see what the problem is.
The Citadel
-Several reapers surround the citadel as if they are defending it, so the crew must find another way in. They travel to Ilos to find a Prothean made mass relay (like the conduit). Instead they find more crucible blueprints. They don’t have time to analyze these new blueprints and must escape due to incoming reaper forces. Shepard and crew retreat as they need time to analyze the data. Shepard talks to Anderson, Hackett, and the Council on vidcomm and informs them of the situation.) Shepard goes to sleep and has a dream of killing one of his squadmates/friends. He awakes and love interest ask him what’s wrong and is he ok. He tells them about his dream..Shepard is shaken, they console him.
-After analyzing data they discover that these additional crucible blueprints are for a remote trigger (1st Crucible was incomplete). Shepard attempts to contact admiral Hackett but the communications are down on Hackett’s part so they must search for him in his last known location.
-The Normandy arrives to a new planet. Shepard and crew fight through reaper enemies, meet Hackett, re-establish communications, and fix AA guns. Shepard informs Hackett about the new crucible designs. Hackett agrees to help find resources, although they are limited due to the war. Shepard returns to the Normandy.
The Catalyst
-Shepard has a dream where he kills Admiral Hackett after he disagrees w/ Shepard that the reapers are evil. In the dream Shepard has an evil smile and hears a loud gunshot go off, as he points the gun to Hackett’s head. Shepard awakes from this nightmare and to his surprise the catalyst is in his room on the Normandy.
-Shepard and the catalyst discuss his decision at the end of ME3. Love Interest walks in as the catalyst disappears. LI informs Shepard that Javik has read his nervous system, and he believes that Shepard may be indoctrinated. Shepard denies profusely.
Next Mission
-The normandy receives a distress call from the alliance on a new planet that they have uncovered a new prothean beacon. Shepard travels to this planet (w/ a few side missions sprinkled in) to discover new reaper scouts searching for the beacon. After fighting reapers Shepard activates the beacon and it reveals a vision of one reaper destroying another w/ its main cannon. They return to the Normandy.
-Anderson contacts Shepard and they talk about the 2 new discoveries. Anderson senses that there is something different about Shepard, because of how Shepard is saying that reapers could possibly be allies.
Thessia
-The Normandy crew meet in the war room and discuss the current situation. Liara and Javik bring up Thessia and it’s tombs as a way to possibly find new info. They travel to Thessia, battle reaper forces while fighting through the tombs and eventually they discover another Prothean V.I.
-This Prothean V.I. explains to Shepard and crew that the crucible data really is, the blueprints for the reaper main red laser cannon/gun. More reapers are dropped off and Shepard must fight through them and rendezvous with Cortez. During this mission Shepard accidently destroys a civilian ship attempting to flee the battle, while operating an AA gun (due to indoctrination). Shepard passes out and they return to the Normandy.
Med Bay
-Shepard wakes up w/ a terrible headache, his squad mates question his actions and he tells them what he remembers, however it is unclear. The crew concludes that Shepard is indoctrinated.
Indoctrination
-Shepard is questioned by everyone including the council, he denies claims even though he kind of knows because he feels it creeping in. Shepard cannot be certain though. Shepard determines that the only one who can help him is Leviathan.
Leviathan
-Shepard travels to meet leviathan again and ask can his mind be clear of indoctrination (a renegade Shepard will argue with leviathan and not be granted wish). Leviathan determines that Shepard is indeed indoctrinated and offers to free his mind. Shepard leaves and returns to the Normandy. Now Shepard has to convince everyone (including himself) that his mind has been free of indoctrination. Shepard figures the only way to convince people is to kill a reaper. His allies see this as a way to salvage valuable reaper tech to assist in completing the crucibles new designs (duplicating reaper main cannon).
Deserted Planet
-Shepard and a few dozen fleets travel to a deserted planet to take down just one reaper. The plan is to surprise this reaper and overpower it w/ various ally help (Like Rannoch on ME3).
Boss Fight
-They must take down the reaper. After the reaper is destroyed they salvage useful data for the Reaper main cannon duplicate (crucible 2.0)
Normandy
-Shepard trades data w/ Hackett. Shepard then decides that he must travel to Tuchanka and Rannoch to try and get Krogan and Quarian help w/ this new project. (The council races are already hard at work on it). In the meantime Shepard does a few side missions/n7 missions helping out survivors of the war, and helping find resources for reaper main cannon. During these mission, you get to see the various assets that you received in ME3 in battle against the reapers as well as seeing old and new faces.
-After a prototype is designed Shepard and his alleys discuss and determine that they have to put this design in action to test it. They successfully deploy it into deep space and kill a reaper, while damaging a few more.
-The council races begin mass producing miniaturized variations of this technology and modding the ships in their fleets w/ it. (note- one ship armed w/ this red laser cannon can’t bring down one reaper but if several ships overpower one reaper they can succeed).
-Side missions. Shepard and allies begin to destroy a few dozen reapers w/ this new technology. Harbinger is pissed and begins to personally search for Shepard. Shepard must find a way to the Citadel to face Harbinger.
The Geth
-Shepard discovers that the geth have built a miniature mass relay (like the conduit) that leads directly to the Citadel, however its leads to the streets of the citadel. (Think ME2+ME3, the area we only get to see from the window in the docking bay, but never ever have explored once in the trilogy).
Final Assault
-Shepard leads a final assault on the citadel where all the fleets attack the citadel and reapers w/ this new canon. Shepard reaches the citadel streets and fights through several different reaper forces alongside his assets from ME3 in real-time. Organics vs reapers in an all-out epic super mission, where decisions matter and important characters can die (Suicide mission). Harbinger speaks to Shepard throughout the mission, taunting him. Shepard must also destroy catalyst A.I.
-Shepard reaches Harbinger and the final battle ensues.
Harbinger boss battle
-You operate the Normandy (like illium on ME2) avoiding laser blast by Harbinger and hitting weak spots until you bring his shields down. Shepard and Harbinger trade comments throughout the battle. Once his shields are down all remaining squad mates entire the inside of Harbinger and battle their way through reaper scouts planting a few bombs until they reach his core. Decisions matter in this mission also (suicide mission ME2). Shepard and crew barely escape Harbinger before the bombs detonate. Once on the Normandy again they believe that Harbinger is dead.
-Harbinger begins to power up again (although he is considerably weaker than before). You must finish the mission the way you started. Avoiding laser blast and hitting weak spots. Shepard calls in an airstrike to finish Harbinger off. As Harbinger dies he explains his part of the story and tells Shepard that the reapers were organics salvation and that there is an enemy approaching from another galaxy. Harbinger dies
-After Harbingers death the remaining reapers lose power and fall from the sky, w/ some being destroyed by ally fleets. Various races celebrate.
-Shepard is honored as a hero on all planets (Earth, Palavin, Thessia, Rannoch, Tuchanka, ect), and at the citadel tower w/ the council. Shepard walks away smiling( w/ music playing) as he vows to discover what enemy Harbinger was talking about.
Credits roll
-After the credits roll dead reaper fragments are shown indoctrinating new species of aliens only mentioned in ME4.
Hints a ME5..
ME5
-New found alien husk attempt to resurrect reapers, while a new enemy comes from a new galaxy/universe.
-You can import commander shepard or make a new avatar w/ your last name (last name database system like NBA2K series)
-Additional ethnic voices for male and female shepard (like saints row)

If Shepard survived ME3 then I don't see why not. If BioWare wants to go that route they can. If they want to use Shepard like they did Anderson they can. If Shepard died they could use the VS in Anderson's role with a new hero. It can go mulitple ways.N7 Assass1n wrote...
^Would Shepard be the protagonist in that or not? Because its still plausible that he would be since he is the pinnacle of health and he would still be what in his mid 40's?

Assuming the main ME trilogy is analogous to the main Halo trilogy and equivelent to ODST or Reach would be cool.
As in the protagonist not being directly connected to Shepard but rather a relative no name supporting character with a neat personal story, could be set at any time period be it during the trilogy/Immediently after ME3/way after/ the first contact war. you name it.
more customization would be nice since to be honest I feel like there are a few versions of the character that is Shep as oppossed to Shep being an avatar to represent me personally.
what ship would this new character ride?

Shepard is 90% Cybernetic (heavy bone weave, heavy muscle weave, heavy skin weave) he'd probably last 200 years.
One thing that bodered me the entire ME3 was that even he being a super strong/super resistant robot he had fewer HP and melee damage that half of the squad, I don't understand this.

The Morning War and/or The Krogan Rebellions
choose to be one species or the other in either. i.e. Geth or Quarion, or Salarian or Krogan
can support or oppose the conflict from either race, such as:
Quarian who supports or opposes the Geth, or a Geth that wants to get away or to eliminate the Quarians.
Salarian who supports or opposes the Krogan, or a Krogan that wants to get away or to eliminate the Salarians
There are the game ideas you could consider, Bioware

Mass Effect 3 Remake, with Karpyshin and Weekes leading the script.
Sounds good to me.
Since there is no way I'll get that, I just want the Mass Effect series to fade into memory since there is no way I will ever trust Bioware to make a decent game again. Casey already murdered the series, I just want advanced warning any time he is involved with another game I might otherwise be interested in so I can know to skip it.

It could take place in the time frame between ME1 and ME2. Reapers aren't a huge threat but some people are believers. The galaxy has plenty of inter-species intrigue, with the council potentially dead (or in disarray regardless, the citadel just got attacked). You can play as any race, lots of "side"quests to pick from, planets and cities to explore, a ship/crew to work on and expand (the actual party would be the same size as ME3 or any other bioware game, but you'd have to recruit/manage other NPCs for your ship as well).
The central campaign wouldn't need to be as tightly focused. It'd be more about exploration and making your character who you want them to be, then playing out a huge, pre-written story.
I guess, let us play someone a little more normal, not someone who is the focus of the entire galaxy, but rather just a person in the galaxy (still heroic, of course). Less star wars, more firefly.

I like the enslaved race fighting Protheans idea that could be a fun twist. Even a Halo:Reach-esque stand alone prequel involving the downfall of the Protheans and the deaths of your squad members could be thrilling and fun. On the other hand, multiplayer has me wanting to interact with the races I'm familiar with as well.
We haven't had enough death of our beloved squad mates and heroes already?

I think this is pretty much the opposite of what I'd like. In fact, I can't think of anything I'd like less. Even an FPS would be preferrable to an open-ended RPG where you just derp around on fetch-quests with no particular goal but to look at pretty scenery and gain shiny new equipment (which you use for no other purpuse than to go on other fetch-quests to look at pretty scenery and gain more shiny new equipment).. Imo, one of the problems with the current endings was that it was too open-ended. I don't want completely linear, but I do want a catching story with a clear aim and an intriguing plot.
Everybody's allowed to their opinion, though, but this is not my cup of tea. At all.

Aside from a primarily MP game, I would like to also see an action-adventure RPG style game similar to ME1 and 2 (and ME3 SP). I'm not sure where I'd like to see this game take place chronologically, but the idea of the post-ME3 survivors is intriguing. A light MP aspect to a game like this might be nice, but not if it detracts from SP too much.

Yes, 100%
300 hundred years in the future the krogan are over breeding and rebelling against the council , a new N7 recruit finds out on a mission that the krogan plan to take control of the citadel, the council make him a Spectre to in their words "clean up shepards mess" no one can stand up against the krogans, you have to bring the rachni to the fight (history starts to repeat itself) big war
during this salarians are acting strange, cut to salarian lab, there is orbs like leviathans and the salarians are making AI
in leviathan voice - salarian scientist "this time we do it right, the intelligence must be rebuilt"
