Casey I'd advise you to move on from this IP. There is too much bad blood. It can never be made right to this group as long as you and the others that people perceive to have caused this are still in charge.

You cannot save the legacy of the project you created but then fumbled. If you or your bosses feel Bioware needs to return to ME, you must let someone else redeem it for you. Obviously none of you, Walters or Gamble can be at the helm.

No prequels, no MMO, no pure FPS/action/action-adventure game.

I really want another ME RPG trilogy, set AFTER ME3 and with a new hero we can customize like Shep and transfer throughout 3 games.

Plz Bioware!

This +1.

I'd like to be able to play as Human/Asari/Salarian/Turian (don't forget to add Turian females!), possibly a Spectre.

Why all the hate for Casey? Mass Effect was HIS brainchild (including the first two ME's which are so adored); sure he may have made some small mistakes along the way (and one major one at the end) but we can't be entirely sure of where the blame lies specifically. I'm sure the whole debacle has been an eye-opening experience for both Casey and BW in general.

I have a few ideas:

-So Im the only person in the world who liked LA Noire. It was too slow, mass effect has a good engine just add true police elements. You could work on c-sec, work on any planet, be any race. It would have action just less then the ME series we know.

- tone wise you could do alot of stuff. Have it be an x-files kind of investigation, cover ups and stuff like that or crime movie like Heat or something. Dont assume you need to play as the police, playing as crew of criminals/smugglers could be fun.

-Setting wise have it set before ME1 but after Skyllian Blitz. One of my favorite elements was the sense of exploration and newness of the game. In the following sequels it seemed like the tone was gone, humans were everywhere, it just seemed like so much changed in the 2 years of ME1 to ME3.

-Setting it in that time frame allows humanity to still be the newcomers (an element I like) but advanced enough to still be familiar. Going further back to first contact war or something would be to primitive tech wise.

A real time strategy game could be amazing. Similar to starcraft gameplay. Set it during ME3. You could control Geth, krogans, salarians, humans etc

Set it immediately after ME3 with synthesis canonized. No prequel or "500 years later" bull****.

You have already done enough damage to my favorite game series.

Do you realize who's the main person that gave you this favourite series of yours?

Do you realise that Casey Hudson is not the person that made this?

It was Drews Idea first.

Furthermore, there is an entire team of people on this project, dozens of them. All of which influence it in one way or another.

Look at the credits of ME1, ME2 and ME3 most of the writing and the mannagement staff was outright replaced between ME1 and ME3, the narative dirrector went to work on Halo 4, Drew went to work on TOR which left Casey with a bunch of 'Yes men' and we've seen his brilliance if left unchecked. He goes to rip off of his and Mac's favorite game in a blatant act of plagiarism.

As far as them wanting ideas goes.

Bull****.

Bioware incorporates fan feedback when its "convenient" and dismisses it when it becomes too much of a hassle to implement with their own plans.

The EC reeks of doing a quick fix, hoping for the best with content that was already half finished during the development and hoping it'll mollify enough people so they could go on pandering to their own wants.

ME3's ending, along with DA2 was writers not knowing how to distinguish between fulfilling their own desires and fulfilling what's best for the plot itself.

No, it does not go hand in hand.

Sometimes what a writer wants to do with a character or plot element actually has to take a back seat to how the story is shaping itself.

Something simple that everyone can relate to. Star Wars.

According to GL, he wanted to show that even "primitive" people can overcome technologically advanced ones because of somesuch reason or other.

Long and short of it. Him putting the ewoks beating the empire was done for PERSONAL wants.

And everyone agrees that the Ewoks is the dumbest ****ing thing in the original trilogy.

This is an example of the desire of the author's desire going about like a bull in a china shop over a story's plot. You can tell that the morality of primitives vs Tech had NOTHING to do with SW's overeaching story EVER. But George wanted to put in in there so he did.

Same with Casey and the The Hack.

Tech singularity was not the central theme of Mass Effect. It was a side plot sure. But never the central theme and they shoehorned it in there because...either A they wanted to pay homage to THEIR admittedly favorite game or B they're just completely ****ing retarded and couldn't come up with something on their own so they ripped it off.

And then they kept it in there when the whole world was screaming at them to get rid of the ****ing thing because THEY wanted to keep it.

So the Mass Effect leads will do whatever the hell the mass effect leads want to do. And it doesn't matter what anyone says, or how the plot is evolving on its own merits at that point they'll put it in there. And if your "idea" is for a romance with Aria or Shiala or something that doesn't interfere with their plans too much then fine.

If your idea is something however that's going to obstruct what THEY want then its getting thrown out.

They've always said they were listening. From way back when to the days of Kotor and Jade emp.

So they heard all the feedback that said ME1's reused envirorments were the worst part of the game.

What do they do?

Use unique envirorments in ME2. Ditto....

Then they go and reuse envirorments again in DA2 and are "surprised that it was such an issue"

Please. They pretend to listen most of the time. Throw a nod in our dirrection whenever there's something they can implement without it ruffling their feathers too much at the best of times. And at the worst they just ignore everything entirely because its "Just not their story. We wouldn't know how to write that story"

So yeah. They can sell that bull**** somewhere else.

To Casey, and Mac, if you ever read these words, which I doubt you ever will since no one has heard from you guys on the internet since the world realised what imbeciles you are, you've ****ed up the series enough. You've thoroughly trampled on a franchise that could have been right up there with the old legends of sci-fi with your self pandering crap.

I will not purchase ME4. I will not purchase any DLC for ME3 and I will not purchase any product with your names anywhere near it. You've killed a five year journey for a lot of people, and threw the hard work of your fellow teammates into the trash heap.

And to any other **** who's gonna say most people are happy get out of your bubble world. Get out of your room and go talk to anyone at a gamestop, fellow students, fellow co-workers or even outside this forum.

The game's ending sucks, its broken in so many ways even after the so called "fix" that it boggles the mind how the Hack can call himself an "artist" with a straight face, and this game, in less than ten minutes not only mannaged to destroy a 100+ hour trilogy, but also set back videogames as a whole from being considered any kind of valid artform for years.

No wonder the doctors quit.

Enjoy your good work

He broke our trust.  Whatever you think about what may have caused ME3 to be shipped the way it was, he made specific claims about the game that weren't true and he made them after the game went gold, so it wasn't a case of things changing and making his claims inaccurate.

I'm kind of a big history buff, so I'd like to explore the past, rather than the future. Yes, I know, prequel, but that's my opinion.

Oh, and I'd prefer to stick with RPGs. No MMORPGs. I've already been down that road and it wasn't pretty.

If u guys make an MMO I will hate bioware forever. U guys pissed me off with making kotor 3 into an MMO and if u make my favorite game universe into an MMO I will never buy bioware again. I would love to see a four player coop 3rd person shooter set during the first contact war (or another war is fine). Also have multiplayer me3 was good but I would love more like gears of war multiplayer does.

I hope bioware is wise enough at this point never to make an MMO. MMOs are just not a thriving market these days.

Personally, I want prequel games. I think its too soon to set games after the trilogy, with so many emotions in the mix. I'd love to see a game set outside citadel space. Maybe a merc band that we can shape either to be paragon [vigilantes], or renegade [space pirates.]

No more games in the ME universe. Fix ME3's horrible ending and don't let them get away with the crappy EC!

Bad wording on my part. I mean they've learned their lesson with SWTOR.

 1. If the intention is to create a full game that takes place before the ME series, then I'm not interested. Admitedly, it's probably a bit of the "I know it all ends in **** no matter how you slice it, so why bother with really exploring how we started it" attitude. On a more technical note, I don't think Shepard could be in a prequel (at least, you'd have to find a way to consolidate the six possible permutations of backgrounds for Shepard- colonist/earthborn/spacer and war hero/sole survivor/ruthless), and I don't think that I'd want to see anything that happens pre-ME series that doesn't involve Shepard. It's interesting, but not interesting enough to make a full game out of.

2. If the intention is to continue Shepard's story, then my first reaction is "YAY YES!" followed by "Oh wait, there's no continuing THAT ending, at least not without canonizing since Shepard allegedly dies in 2/3 endings (I'm still not entirely sure what happens to Shepard in refusal). The rumored Project X/Indocrination Theory playing out would be fine, but I'm not convinced these are what the devs had in mind and I'm even less convinced the devs want to jump aboard that ship given the sloppy extended cut.

3. If the intention is to pick up post-ME series without Shepard, then I'm not interested. I'll admit it, my catch for this franchise is Shepard and what my Shepard is like. People hear "Mass Effect" and they immediately associate it with Shepard. Look at this website- Shepard is the icon for this franchise because Shepard represents the player. I love the concept of Asaris and Turians, but I love Liara and Garrus even more. You take away my protagonist that I've spent years building and my teammates that I've come to love and I'm just not interested.  I definitely don't want another trilogy featuring another protagonist- I'm not trusting the same team who OK'ed the ME3 ending with writing and finishing another trilogy. Thanks but no.

So I guess it all comes down to "I'd like post-ME3 story that continues featuring Shepard as the protagonist," but again I don't think it's going to happen and I have no intention of purchasing anything else.

(I know plenty of people disagree and that's totally fine- this is just my two cents).

Just keep it a single player RPG, preferably a trilogy, with an optional multiplayer, and ensure the protagonist is completely customizable much like Shep was in ME. I loved the ME series and am grateful for it. I do not want an MMO and will not buy or play it; as much as I loved KotR, I did not buy SWtOR or play it because it was an MMO. Good luck Bioware, Hudson, and staff. I'd like to know more about the new IP and will definitely stick around for it.
