It would also be cool to have more NPCs notice that my character has biotics, like how Dragon Age NPCs notice that I'm a Mage or an Elf.

@CaseyDHudson Great suggestions coming in for the next #MassEffect game. Seems to be lots of interest in playable alien races.
I think this is what he wants really.... what do you think, want lpay like a alien or human in mass effect 4?
lol

I forget where that quote about not wanting to make a Shepard 2.0 for the next game, but it makes me think that you'll get to play as one of the crew members.Mixon wrote...

me 4 must be set after me3 its more rom for new things,
a prequel is a bad idea as most things is covered by comics, novels and other media
squadmates backstorys are not intresting enogh for a game and it is mostly already explaned to us
as for me 4 the basic requirements is you have to have a ship, squadmates, same or better dialoge/morality/squademate system and rpg elements and a standard or improved mass effect galaxy traveling system with lots of hub and exploration worlds
thigs i wish to see but not expect:
abilety to choose race atleast counsil races.
the mako returns XD.
if the game is a prequel and is sett around 100 years after me3
the abilety if possible to play as shepards decentans or shepard and liaras asari daughter

Only if you consider the books'n'comics as canon and part of the lore. I don't, especially since the last book was violating the lore a lot.luzburg wrote...

But I concur: please no prequel. I disliked it in Star Trek (Enterprise / the new movie) and I won't like it in Mass Effect.

Okay, 'though only Asari and Humans are interesting when it comes to "romantic interaction content". Turians are able to do so, but I doubt BW wants to show us a naked Turian. And Salarians are a race of asexuals - they do it only for procreation and don't have a concept for romantic love.thigs i wish to see but not expect:

With the option to upgrade it's armor, shields, weapons ... yes!the mako returns XD.
Not that important - 10, 20 years later are interesting as well. I'd love to see the time period right after the war: the galaxy must be a huge version of the "Wild West" since the lack of a proper military presence of each government. Very tempting time.if the game is a prequel and is sett around 100 years after me3
Well - only if you imported a savegame with Liara as LI. For everyone else: no, just no. I don't want Liara be the only returning squadmate or something.the abilety if possible to play as shepards decentans or shepard and liaras asari daughter

I know there's a wowowowow stuff about OMEGA, ok, I'll say so what ? cuz, for me I'll buy it. Just for the "more into" universe of it. But one stuff I don't understand is : Why ? Why the Citadel and all places are so dead ? Can't you bring some new stuffs, can't you bring home life in this "supposed to be core"
We have quest or mission but no life in it ? Why ? Ain't it supposed to be the core of alien races ?
Even if it's a question of "talking" can't you just add some life.
Just add some comments or may be next mission intend in your add ons.
Not specially used but hell, can't you feel this area is so dead ?
I know there're some network report but hell................
I fell like playing a post-apocalytic (like play alone) opera where we're supposed to see a lot of people.
Why is this so dead ? It will be better for the immersive state that this game gave us since the beginning.
Am I stupid asking that ?

Characters like Gianna Parasiini from Mass Effect 1 and 2, Ashley Williams in her Mass Effect 1 incarnation. Doctor Chakwas who was a/THE maternal figure. Hell, even fem!Shep wasn't 'sexy'. She had personality that changed depending on player choice.
Also - don't make it an Origin game. I swear to holy hell, I can not emphasis that ENOUGH.
DO. NOT. MAKE. IT. ORIGIN. INCLUSIVE. Again. I will automatically not buy it.
Prologue - unless its structure in such a way that it allows all possibilities of the current trilogy to take place - its a bad idea. It'll flop, and probably contradict what has already been previously established in lore both in the triolgy and books.
Sequel is the way to go, most likely. But, set in such a distance future that the choices Shepard mades have little conicidence beyond cosmetics. IE 200-500 years in future. Maybe it's a slight stat difference:
Destroy - better weaponary, organic-dominated society. Suited for Soldier/Vanguard classes.
Synthesis - Better physical traits, able to use tech easily. Organics+Synthetics working peacefully together for better future. Best suited for Adept/Sentinal Players.
Control - massing fleets, advanced technology. Synthetics begin to out-populate Organics. Suited for Infiltrators+Engineers.
Refuse - Disadvantaged at all three classes - for experienced players who love a challenge.
Something like that I guess.
Don't let William C. Dietz ANYWAY near it...
Liara must NOT BE INVOLVED in ANY WAY, SHAPE or FORM. I CANNOT stress that enough. If she is, give us the option to kill her without purposely being slackasses ( IE. worst 'destroy' ending). And for the love of Chr!st! Do not force us into a goddamned friendship with her!
Shepard? Leave him/her alone. S/he's dead/retired. Their work is done, their story is over. Allow them to rest in peace. References to their acheivements, maybe even a cameo of a timecapsule or monument in their honor is ok. Maybe even a virtual ghost or echo in the Control/Synthesis endings. An official AI/VI copy of him as a memorial if sufficent time has passed between the two trilogies.
Let Karpyshin and Weekes lead the script. He wrote the three books, he's quite familiar with the lore, creates wonderful characters and maintains characterization consistantly.
Have all the Teammates come back with important roles to the plot. Maybe even recruit Shepard's former love interest. Give details about their lifes and wereabouts during their lives, again if sufficent time has passed and the former is not fesible.
... that's all I have so far. Gotta sleep now.

Space battles would be nice too. Also lots of ships models (three games and we never saw a salarian warship once!)

Back to a more rpg'ish type game such as ME1, less auto-dialogue. I preferred the dialogue of ME1 as well. More exploration again like ME1 had (landing on planets or discovering side quests by scanning). No fetch quests or eavesdropping quests. The fighting of ME3 style though.

I don't really have issues with Mac, he just shouldn't be in charge. Character writer? Plot writer for a portion of the game? I'm totally fine with that. But the big picture? I think there are a lot of skilled writers out there who can pull a better stunt. Some of the biggest issues in ME3 stem directly from Mac's part as lead writer, therefore: back to the roots, bring back the staff of ME1/ME2 writers.steamcamel wrote...

What I would like (first points are the most importanst for me then, by decreasing oder):
- a RPG with third person shooting action like ME1, 2 and 3
- a trilogy with ONE single hero (on the contrary to Dragon age) and save import: the best idea I have seen in RPG for years. you make your character and you learn to like and love it.
- possibility to play male or female
- a post ME3 story (we know what happen before) or a story without specifc time location.
- since we know all the species in space, I would appreciate having more time devoted to plot and to develop hero story and characters story (I appreciate the improved number of discussion between teammates in ME3 I would like to have even more and to know more about them).
- a threat even bigger that the reapers (dark energy one or things like that?).
- a story about specter. Maybe like the the following movies "The fugitive" or "The Bourne Legacy": I like the idea of a hero who is hunted by a whole galaxy because he is seen as a threat whereas he/she is the only one to be right.
That's all. Thanks for listening.

Like most have to a more return to ME1 style of RPG with the converstations and choices. The ME3 gameplay was perfect but I would like to see more of a return to ME1 loot system and general more RPG flavor to it.

1) play through the adventures of shepard's squadmates. Zaeed's could have his own game with the amount of war stories he has and that's just 1 out of 18 characters.
2) if the first isn't wanted or is unable to be done then how about just multiple choices on who our new character is as far as what race he/she is and what background they have.

Na, the loot system of ME1 was bad. You had to spend too much time on liquifying equipment you didn't need and inventory management in general. I like the system of ME3 with those upgrades and tech-loot you can collect while doing missions.Haseeo wrote...
I would be interested in seeing a species choice in the next game. Would in interesting to view the galaxy of mass effect and one race other than human.

However, the RP elements of ME1 and ME2, that includes more dialogue options, romances, character story arcs and such, should return. Actually, it's the main reason why I love ME1 and ME2 and why I am disappointed by ME3.
Additional race choices are good, 'though I'd stay with humans *g*
