Eh. Do what you like. If DA2 and ME3 are indicative of your current level of commitment I think I'll pass. Thanks, though. I'm sure there's a horde of dew-swilling bros who'll love whatever half-assed generic space shooter you churn out.

What I'd love to see...

-) A bigger squad.

Yeah, I just like it , I know some of you don't.

-) Re-visiting old places.

Let us visit Omega, Feros, Earth etc.
I'd love to see how things changed / or how things have been looking before Mass Effect 1-3

-)Visiting (still) unknown locations..

Palaven for example.

-)Random events.

Maybe a street-gang trying to steal all your credits at Omega, C-Sec hunting down criminals at the Citadel, Bar fights etc.

-)Third person...

In all the 3 games, it was always like that.

Left Hand = Tech
Right = Biotic.

Also your character is on the right half of your screen. Maybe an option to change that.

-)Squad members having an impact.

For example, let's say there is a ex-member from a gang called ''<INSERT NAME HERE>'' in your squad. On, for example, Omega you and your ''ex-member'' in your squad are meeting some members of the gang. They should regonize the ''ex-member''. That should open up some quests. If the ''ex-member'' isn't in your squad, the gang members are saying to you ''Get lost!''

-) Don't force people in your squad.

There should be an ''I don't want you to watch my back!'' option if someone asks to join you.

I would love something totally new to surprise, engage, and entertain me a la Mass Effect, BG, DA:O.

Sadly I don't think this is going to happen at this studio anymore.

So go on ahead and make your CoD wanna-be because the damage has already been done the Mass Effect name. A couple of hours of a "campaign" then generic MP cash cow. The formula worked for ME3 didn't it?

Thankfully all things DO cycle. People will get bored of this drivel soon enough and stop buying it a la Zynga.

I am open to just about anything. I think the one thing I request, and i think it could be safe to say I am not the only  female gamer who would or has said this, please, please make something special for those of us that play a straight female! I loved the whole series. I loved the characters, storylines and the extended cut helped with a number of things. But my main complaint that has become more focused for me, was seeing some scenes on you tube. I loved seeing what other choices people made that were different than mine and choices based on playing a straight male. But I think the thing that stung the most was that for as long as I can remember Bioware has always made me feel special when it came to romance choices. Mass Effect 3 was a let down when I had remained faithful to Kaidan throughout the entire 3 games and later found out that the romance scene was the same for the straight femShep as it was for the maleShep with Kaidan. What the hey?!!! I worked hard at maintaining the staying faithful. But seeing that the scenes were word for word the same was so heartbreaking. I know the people at Bioware put blood sweat tears heart and soul into the games. But as a female gamer seeing that there was no difference in the romance scenes was crushing.

So, please, what I ask is for a little something special for us. It seems that if you look at the entire 3 games as a femShep straight your only real choice for her is Garrus. And while I like him, I only enjoyed him as a kick ass teammate. MaleShep has straight women choices out the ears. I know I heard rumors that Kaidan was supposed to be a choice for maleShep in the begining but changed it. Why change it all? You didn't change Ashley in ME3. So this is my request. I can only hope this is read. I never knew if anyone at Bioware read the one and only e-mail I sent them or any of the other posts I have placed on here. But a gamer girl can hope!!

Thanks for all your hard work and I await you future projects. In the meantime I will continue playing the Mass Effect DLC's you will put out, the multiplayer and SWTOR!!! Love em!!

Well, definitely a sequel. Definitely an RPG.

After the events, but within the lifetimes of long-living species, so there is some connection. Like Liara giving the quest to the new main protagonist.

Galaxy in tatters. Council races are reduced trying to return to prominence, non-council or less developed races now see a chance to rise to power and compete for the limited resources available. Overall strife drives all the races to a major war. Most hub worlds are either destroyed or incapable of supporting life. Reapers are either gone or indifferent - not a war against synthetics. That particular point solves the canonization of any of the "colored" solutions or, with quite a stretch of imagination, even the refusal one. (Hey they even got the Prothean back.) Dark energy is the new threat. Smaller colonies need to survive.

Play-wise, I really liked the idea of customizable ship. Start from humble beginnings and either upgrade or trade up the ships. Interstellar trade may or may not be included (I liked that aspect in Elite, for those who remember it).

I also vote for different interactions for male and female protagonists. Build this game around the relationships. Kind of ME 2 loyalties, but fleshed out more. Other things being equal, emotional attachment to the hero and the impact of choices made that's what hooks players for numerous playthroughs and sequel purchases.

More Hub planets.
More varied shops
More levels in renegade and paragon with more dialog options/outcomes
More exploration and discovery in finding new species and civilizations.
More interactivity with non squad mates.
More choices or LI for female protagonist
I like the pew pew. Keep it! But I also like the art of negotiations. Keep it!
I like the emotions. Making characters feel and react. More of this.
More diverse profiles!
More options for customization. I want an unique character.
More reward for indepth conversations. But for short winded players, more risks.
Less linear game.

Options/ choices that are both good and bad but can be replayed with different outcomes based on different previous choices.

I WANT the ability to have a perfect and happy ending! Not guaranteed but possible, regardless of paragon or renegade choices.

I want NPC's to react differently toward a parogan toon and a renegade toon. My renegades can be evil or just plucky with a wicked sense of humor. Or, they can be completely corrupt. Or a mixture. At the same time, they can have the ability to be vulnerable and soft. No restrictions!

I'd like a home base house or apartment that's customisable
I'd like to move up as my status changes... or down.

I wouldn't mind being able to argue with others. Really use intimidate and charm abilities. Add looks/sex appeal--> flirt ability.

Tired of military. Have diverse professions.

I like not being limited to a type of gun or biotic power. Make these open to player choice.

I like modding my guns! Add modding armor.

I want more diverse casual wear in the base game.

Pets! More options please.

Earrings, rings, piercings, scars, add please.

Hair salon so players can change our toons looks and style. Maybe add clothing shops.

Workout stations. Players can get fat or buff up!

If on same galaxy/timeframe, and previous game data is used, please make Shepard an NPC.

I'm honestly confused on how a sequel would play out.
Obviously, the galaxy would be very different depending on what ending you chose, so there would need to be different "worlds" in which you could play in. This would take a long time to do but would also offer interesting variables and give it a good re-play value.
Or, one ending could be the "canon one" and it would set off from there; however this would defeat the point of there being 3 choices to choose from in the first place, and I can imagine it would upset a lot of people.

If I disregard that concern then personally I would like to see these things within the game:
• Have more of a free roam kind of game, I generally enjoy those.
~ There could be hubs on certain planets which offer a bunch of side missions.
~ Rather than having just credits as rewards, there should be armour, weapons, weapon mods, decorations and the like.
• Have a diverse, interesting squad. Allow them to interact with each other, Let them form opinions of each other; it would be amusing to have two that would get along well and another pair that would bicker if you took them with you.
~ Some squad members shouldn't be mandatory; you could find them when visiting stations or planets.
~ Some could be mercenaries, others will join you if you've accomplished certain missions. Others could ask to join you etc.
~ For these particular squad members, there should be an option to remove them again. There needs to be a limit on the number of crew members you can have at a time, of course.
• Allow for more than 2 dialogue options when speaking to NPC's. It was irritating that you couldn't take a neutral approach to a number of situations in ME3.
~ Have proper conversations like in ME2, but allow us to ask them for their thoughts or opinions on missions or other matters.
• Depending on how far in the future a sequel would be set, it would be nice to hear about what happened to Shepard's crew. I love the ME series because of the characters, so if they were to be completely replaced and never heard from again, I would be really sad :(
• When going to a more major hub area (Citadel?) there should be a General Chat channel for players who're playing online.
~ Note that I don't want ME to become an MMO, that's not what the ME games are, nor should they ever be. I just think that it would be nice to chat with other players when in these zones.

I'm fine with the combat in ME3, so nothing to say on that matter. As for a plot - I'm not a great person to ask so I'll put all of my trust in BioWare regarding it.
It would be important to ensure that nothing feels really tedious; I got that feeling in the first ME game. It felt as if there was too much distracting me from the main story line. Eh, I feel like I'm being a hypocrite, but it really does depend on how the main story is executed IMO.

Hi everyone, first post I think, it's been awhile since I've checked in on this site.
I really love this series, best of this console generation if I do say so myself.
Unfortunately, I was part of the group of people who overreacted when I beat ME3, because I felt underwhelmed with the ending.
Since then however I've drawn my own conclusions, and I am satisfied with the endings, and think that either one you chose they can be brought together to make a very sensible and amazing sequel.
So here it goes!
The story takes place 1000 to 2000 years in the future, after the end events of ME3. I choose this gap for several reasons.
The first would be to rein the endings together.
Controll-Shepard takes the reapers away and never returns. The Geth also choose to leave feeling it would be easier for the organic species to recover without more superior synthetics lording around.
Destroy- Reapers dead. Geth dead.
Synthesize -Same as controll, minus the Shepard part. But what about the fact that everyone is part machine now? Easy!
It's 2000 years in the future! The advances in technology could be huge, even if you didn't chose synthesize, everyone could be part machine now anyways, just depends on severity , pretty easy to fix with some dialogue.
As for the story I would go with a subject that wasn't touched on alot in the original trilogy.
Re
 Religion!
But this is the kicker, the various conflicts would be based around one man/ woman.
Commander Shepard!
The one person who fought so hard to bring the galaxy together, sacrificed everything (possibly) to accomplish the impossible, that very legacy is now tearing the various races apart.
This story would be based around trying to unearth the truth behind the legends told in the distant future.
You would have the races that worship Shepard as a second coming, a god like messiah, who with the help of a higher power, defeated a galaxy ending menace.(Similar to Christ based religions)
Possible Races that would follow this doctrine are the shorter lived species-Humans, Salarians
Then you would have the races that see Shepard as we did, a hero. Not a Demi-god, and they are offended by the very thought.(Similar to other religions views on Christ.)Possible races that would believe this are the longer lived species-Asari, Krogan
Then you would have the most antagonistic group, The non-believers. They not only deny Shepard as savior, but they deny Shepard existence! You see after the galaxy wide battle, many documents were lost or demolished, so accounts of Shepard become mostly second hand. The races that believe this would be mostly smaller races that have always felt looked down on by the galactic community-Batarrian, Vorcha, Forgive me for not remembering the nam but, the fledgling race of the shadow broker before Liara.
Your job would be to figure out the truth, at all costs, bonus points if your character is a true believer who has his world shattered over the course of the game.
So what do you think?

Since bioware is gonna do their own thing no matter what and obviously went with less rpg methods

*cough* action mode

And the false interviews before release of the game I simply can not even give them the head of the doubt O_O just seems like another way to inspire fan wardom.

Focus on some more social aspects like the first two games went into more depth. I think the new character should definitely be a the player's choice of race with a Dragon Age Origins style start. Human, Turian, Asari, Solarian, Krogan, Quarian, Batarian, or heck why not Volus, or even Geth. The crew/squad mates should definitely be higher population with more variation on the races and gender. Give the main character more freedom in the situation, maybe make the ship a bunch of refugees turned pirates during the chaotic events between ME2 and ME3. That lack of military assignment might open up for richer less forced relationships between captain and crew. Perhaps have a friends/rivalries system similar to dragon age origins. As a matter of fact, just take the character story and character relationship building from Dragon Age Origins, Mass Effect 1's world, and Mass Effect 3's combat system and make a game. Hell this time let us buy different melee weapons regardless of our class. I want a Vanguard with a Paladin Tech arm Shield and the Infiltrators omni blade!

I much rather see a sequel to ME3 than anything else. It would be refreshing to see a post-reaper war galaxy than back track on things we already know and were told.

Maybe an additional way for biotic characters to defend against Biotic attacks? Like how Miranda shrugs of Jacks little rage attack on the normandy after you have completed both of their loyalty quests in ME2.

There probably won't be a lot of biotic enemies so it wouldn't be that powerful and taking cover or jumping/rolling sideways usualy works it would seem... But still it would make for a nice little Roleplaying element. Biotic duels!

A sandbox game in the ME universe. Pre-Reaper-Invasion. i want to be a colonist who makes his money so he can build a ship and get of his planet. Then he hires a crew and does delivery jobs around the galaxy. After a while the missions become more difficult, and stakes higher.

I hope that it's not a prequel. If it is then you'll know that your actions wont have far reaching consequences, because if you have played the other games (ME1, 2 and 3) then you will know what comes afterwards.

Mmm... maybe have 2 main protagonists, 1 of them with the Allience and the other with Cerberus, and you play through two different storys and at the end they both fight and which ever one you choose to play as wins... (This was just a quick idea that I had)

Maybe have custom classes. You get so many "points" to spend on powers. Stronger and more effective powers would cost more points. So a basic power, such as throw, would only cost 1 point, and a more advanced power, like singularity or tech armour or something, would cost 2 or 3.

I belive that's close to the core-problem regarding of the future of ME in particular, and Bioware in general. The staggering amount of misleading information we have received before the release of ME3 and DA2.

I believe it was mr. Hudson himself, though it may have been another Bioware employee, whom in an interview before the release of ME3, stated that there would be as many as seventeen wildly different outcomes. In the end it turned out to be three different colours, and in the EC, a juvenile reply from the spoiled starbrat, if you choose refuse.

Combine it with the "awesome" button in the extremely underwhelming DA2 and the utter lack of recognition and acknowledgement from Bioware regarding these problems, then it becomes very difficult to take any statements from EA/Bioware serious.

As I've stated before: Putting the ME series to rest and start something fresh seems to me a much better idea. There's no way I am going to invest in a prequel, and without the Mass Effect relays, I don't see how there can be a sequel, nor can I see how they'll work around the different endings.

In my opinion Bioware/EA has killed the franchise.

(This is how and I had hoped the mass effect series would be like after ME1).Imagine ME1 but with the better more modern controls/gameplay, multiplayer mode, and the better more modern graphics of ME2/ME3. Now that would be a Mass Effect that I would want and buy I can imagine it being more open world with plenty of missions, more dialogue, more loot, more squadmates, and more exploring like in ME1 and some of ME2. The game would be somewhat like Skyrim with a touch of borderands but still very different and unique of course with Biowares style of developing. It would have a good balance between the amount of action and amount role playing in it.

Then it would be the ultimate and best Action/RPG/Shooter game like it was supose to be but somehow it took a wrong turn and went in a different direction with the series to bad. Might I add even though i love the new multiplayer coop mode in ME3 i always hoped mass effect would eventually have a single player coop mode as well where a second player could take control of one of the the single player/host's squadmates. this could work because the first player/host could make all the decisions and so on since its his quest and the second player can only play as one of the squadmates and help fight only. Of course theres great coop mode designs in alot of games and im sure bioware could make one that works for them and how they want it in the game.

I just hope Bioware takes there time with the next mass effect game and makes sure its a quality game thats polished and ready for release. Even though i like all 3 Mass Effect games i can say ME3 felt rushed and unfinsihed and felt more like action or shooter type game and was low on the amount of role playing, dialogue, squadmates, actual bosses and boss fights, smaller selection and amount of loot(armor/weapons/equipment/gear), no real open world planets to explore at all, It felt like they stripped the game of all of its roleplaying elements and wanted it to be more of a shooter or action game but i cant believe that bioware would do or want this so i just assume the game was rushed because of pressure from EA probally .

Yeah, after the last two disappointments the burden's on you now, BW. You have to win me back as a customer first, and I won't put my trust in your press releases and dev comments but in what the consensus on the web among gamers will be. Then maybe I'll invest money into your next product after it's been discounted.

So quick question what ending are bioware using as canon for the series? Would help make our ideas more viable.

Mass effect: assassin should be the next game working for the shadow broker with a small team (Kasumi, feron, turian female, loner quarian and a disgraced Dalmatian banished from the stg.

Small ship posing as a cargo vessel, assassinating a group plotting to over throw the council with lost reaper tech and what's left of Cerberus.

When I saw Kasumi for the first time her costume reminded me of Altair/etzio from assassins creed, thane was a great character and Kai leng proved we need the next game to be a RPG based round a assassin, hidden omniblade? Programming a mech to do the assassination? Biotic assassination? Would be a great game.

Answer to my question though please bioware
