No prequels, no MMO, no pure FPS/action/action-adventure game.
I really want another ME RPG trilogy, set AFTER ME3 and with a new hero we can customize like Shep and transfer throughout 3 games.
Plz Bioware!
I'm pretty much in agreement with this guy. Seems like everyone goes and makes a prequel when a trilogy is finished. Halo did it. Gears of War did it. Movies are doing it a lot these days. I have an idea. Why not start with the prequel instead? I say no prequels. You're stuck in a position where you know the ending or at least have a very good guess what's going to happen before you even buy it.
On the game mechanics. I don't like MMOs, and while I'm content with FPS games, I favor third person shooters. I'd say don't get too ambitious with toying with the game in that respect. Just look at what Capcom's been doing with Resident Evil. Will there ever be a good RE game again? Ever since 4 the fanbase has been divided into two categories and the fans of the originals have been left in the dust, and fans the newer style have been getting crap work lately. Same thing with Square-Enix and how they've been handling the Final Fantasy series. It would be a real shame to see Mass Effect follow that path.
I liked the gameplay mechanics improved from 2 to 3 and things done like that in good taste are fine by me, but I'd suggest to not to throw the whole thing out and make something completely different.
Lastly choice. Choice is possibly the biggest thing that has defined Mass Effect. I'd hate to see that sidelined into a linear walk and shoot thing like almost literally any other game out there.
