Meh. Just meh. Might be better used with tech characters, because of the stagger... but considering it's weight... Meh.

I tried my argus 2 in Gold and was unimpressed. It weighs to much and wasn't any better than my vindicator X which is alot lighter.

I see a lot of people comparing it to the mattock/harrier. What about compared to it's 'little brother' the vindicator?

I didn't like it, and I'm pretty easy to please with guns.

When shooting from cover, it hepls the stability and accuracy quite a bit. However, you still need some sort of stability mod to make it shoot straight. It only does decent damage if you are going for headshots.

I tried it first on a Drell Adept. Rough.

Then I tried it on a Turian Soldier, then Destroyer with better results. I still used a Stability Amp to help with the recoil. It becomes a decent 3 shot sniper rifle, like what the Incisor should have been.

I'll probably not pick it up again though.

Lol. You tried it on a Drell Adept first? With that weight? Huh.

The weapon is good. Just put the AR Stability Damper V mod and the Argus main weakness is solved.

argus is there to introduce the new turians !

marksman makes it not bad and the stability is welcomed ,cause on each other class it still has some recoil even with stab mod V!

Got a message that this was added to MP. And like Slayin.....I too got first with it.  But it is really lackluster even at Lvl X.  I wasn't too crazy about it when it was released with Leviathan (even James Vega was horrible with it)  But I figured maybe it might have been balanced for MP's hectic gameplay.  Put it on my Phoenix Adept.....and as soon as the match was over, changed it right back to his trusty Mattock.

Pretty much meh.  6 PSPs got it to X, so the credits really didn't take a too big of a dent.  Time to head back to Cybertron......but I'll be back to check out anything new. ^_^

I imagine on a Turian or using stability mod/gear it'd be a lot better. I know in SP it had a lot of recoil, haven't got on yet to buy it yet and I only leveled it to like 4 in SP.

it sucks. ok well not sucks but its not that good at all. yes i still got 1st but i mean it doesn't do alot of damage at all. hardly seemed worth it

Agree and disagree.  You are correct in that it doesn't do much damage for a heavy burst fire gun but the biggest issue is RoF.  I only used the Mk.II but on the Turian Soldier with Scope & EB I was landing steady headshot bursts which did quite a bit of damage.  Body shots were underwhelming.  Seems the damage per bullet is on par with the Mattock but with way less RoF and less control ability. Only used it on Gold and for it to see any kind of regular use it's going to need two of three things:

25% Weight Reduction
25% Damage Boost
25% RoF Boost

I know bronze doesn't carry much if any weight with folks around here, but I just did a bronze solo on a lark to try the Argus X out.

--Turian Soldier (Lvl 20; Prox and CS--NO marksman; Turian Veteran Specced for Damage and HS)
--Argus X w/ EB and Piercing Mod
--Barrage Upgrade IV
--No Consumables
--Cerberus
--Dagger
--1 medi-gel used (got hammered on a pizza run)
--No Ops Packs
--No Rockets
--No Thermal Clips
--2 pizza runs and 1 eliminate the targets
--Extracted

I think I had the Gold Headshot medal by wave 3 or 4--and I wasn't particularly trying. Granted, it's far from a damage monster, but I think it feels the most like an assault rifle of all the assault rifles in the game. The ammo capacity is nice, and the delay between bursts just feels...right. My Turian played like an infantry rifleman.

I absolutely despised this weapon in SP, but I think they got it right for MP. Oh, and before people rag on it too much, let's remember, it's only a rare weapon--not UR.

Anyway, I had fun with it, and will use it quite often I think--at least on bronze and silver. I'll have to see how it does with consumables before rocking it on gold (as for platinum...well...I never "knowingly" enter a platinum match!).

There's not much point in using it if you have a high level Saber in my opinion.

Stability mod is a must. On the other hand, Mattock variant team assemble!

Accuracy isn't the problem, it's the recoil. The first shot goes pretty much where you place it, it's just that the next two will jerk upwards alarmingly. Couple that with the slow rate of fire, the slow reload speed and the limiting weight and you have a gun that's hard to find a good home so far.

It seems OK, but I'm comparing it to level X URs.
I don't believe the Argus should be an alternative to the PPR or Harrier.

Just used it at X as well on a Destroyer specced for accuracy, with a Stab mod 3 equipped.

Really not impressed. First shot OK. Second and third.... Not so much. Might as well aim at the body and let the second shot hit the head and the third go wild. Ok for trooper enemies, but the bigger stuff, look elsewhere.

Guess it's just another maxed out rare that I will never use. I think it needs a massive recoil drop to make it worthwhile. The between burst ROF isn't too good either.

If I had to choose between my Saber VI and Argus X, I'd take the Saber, without a doubt. The Saber trumps it in every way.

Would definitely call for a lower recoil, higher between burst ROF, and THEN I might use it.

I just tried it at level X and I'm not really getting the hate. It's a solid rare assault rifle which is something this game was lacking. Comparing it to a Harrier X just isn't in any way fair. The Harrier is lighter, faster and just as powerful at equal levels but it's an ultra rare so it should. Does it compare to a Harrier X? No. But it's more than holding it's own agains my Harrier II. The fact that it has about double the Harrier's ammo capacity is nice too.
