Non reciprocal romance. If character X has a thing for you its assumed you have a thing back for them when speaking with other characters. IE, they make you choose or assume you love them or Wynn comments. Never is there a 's/he has a crush on me but I'm unsure' or 'I'm just using him/her'. I'd think Zev or (hardened) Leliana would completely understand leading Alister on so you (and by association they) get to to pull the future king's puppet strings.

The only choice I wish they'd given us was that once Riordan shows up we'd have the option to offer our companions the choice to become a grey warden. It was so lame that Loghain was the only option.

An EVIL path to take in Redcliff rather than always having to 'help' the peasants, or at least a way to explain to Morrigan that helping them is in your best interests long term.

Being able to have both Alistair AND Loghain in your party. Even if it's really hard to do, it should be possible.  The Landsmeet portion of the game was handled very poorly, in my opinion. It's a shame because the rest of the game is so great.

The option to find and return Dalish artifacts/lore to the Dalish people as a Dalish elf. It annoyed me that I wasn't able to bring the lost Arcane Warrior order back to the Dalish people. That would have been a pretty kickass 5th group for the final battle.

To be able to talk the casteless Dwarfs into a exodus from Orzammar.

Save and recruit Leske into your party.

I'm all for the Dwarf noble crowning himself king... and calling Bhelen to a Proving over the murder of your Brother Trian.

A little more of a reaction from the Maker-worshipers for the heretical Dalish elf.

Edit:

Yes, and make her romanceable.  We need a romanceable Dwarf in this game!

A spot in camp for all those origin romances (the ones that don't die, of course... *cough*). They don't even need to be fighting members... let's call them "camp followers".

And yes, I vote for becoming king/queen of Orzammar.

Besides of that, I want something like "free choice of religion" for PC's. I don't want to have the sole choice of saying yay or nay to chantry blabla. I want to follow the Qun... or... the creators... and want to argue with priests about it! Does my dwarf really want some chantry blessings? I highly doubt that.

-I want the ability to flirt. With everyone. Maybe they aren't romanceable, but my PC should be able to hit on them regardless.

-More options for whining as a human noble. "What? I'm a COUSLAND. I don't sleep on the GROUND. That's where the elves sleep! I want my silk sheets back!"  Also, more political manevering  options would be nice as a noble human or dwarf (blackmail, ect.)

-Rescuing my BFF Jowan as a mage. Seriously, dude, BFF. Like I'm actually going to let them execute him. Conscription would be nice, but rescuing him would be a good option.

-romancing Gorim and Cullen.

-able to be clueless about human culture as a dwarf or Dalish elf. Seriously, my dwarf shouldn't have a clue about the Chantry, how it works, ect., but there are no such dialogue options! Unfair!

-a way to harden Alistair without being a jackass.

-HAVING MY COMPANIONS GIVE TWO CENTS ABOUT MY ORIGIN.  Seriously!  Tamlen JUST ATTACKS OUR CAMP, everyone fights, I have to *kill* him, and...nothing. Nobody cares.

The only one who says anything is Alistair.

And what does he say?

"Oh, well, you know, that's what happens when the Taint goes by unchecked."

ARGH! How is my PC suppose to be an individual if no one actually cares about my PC?  I'd like my compainions to care more about me.  (Alistiar offering sympathies to a human noble, conversations about Jowan as a mage, ect.)

Otherwise, I was pretty happy.

1. Option to have a little fun with Daveth before the joining at Ostagar
2. Human noble to have a little fun with Ser Gilmore before the castle gets taken.
3. Recruit Ser Cauthrien
4. Murder knife Chantry priests (except that old lady priestess outside the Denerim Chantry, the one who was screwing up the Chant. I want to recruit her instead, or elect her as the Divine)
5. Involve Oghren or Wynne or Shale in the Isabella threesome
6. For mages, at least attempt to give Cullen some much needed PTSD counseling, and maybe some happy pills.
7. Option to murder knife that whiny apprentice mage (keili, I think she is) who constantly whines about mages and evil, and how she hopes the templars will kill all mages so they can all see the Maker.
8. Instead of execution or recruiting as a Warden, having the option to exile Loghain to Orlais to serve as a court jester or rent-boy in an Orlesian ****house.
9. Schloomples as a bonus party member.

You had me right up to option 9.

I'd also like to be able to
1. Harden Alistair in a more logical manner. Since when can you say "Everyone is out for themselves. Grow up." and have them do a 180 in matters of morality?
2. Find a caretaker for Ilona's daughter in the Alienage.
3. Find uses for all those named-but-forgotten NPCs roaming around.
4. More options for gratuitous sex. Not all of them would have to end well. Options for a female PC could include Gorim (it would end when he was exiled and you were sent to the Deep Roads), Ser Gilmore (would end with the storming of the castle, but woud resume with DLAN_Immortality's mod), Cullen (he'd do it, but it would mess him up a bit more afterward, following you around until you threatened to tell Gregor on him, talking obsessively about his own self-loathing, etc. until after the Broken Circle quest, when you get him Skadi's PTSD counseling and possibly anti-psychotic drugs), Bann Teagan (just a fling), random people in taverns, Soris (but not if you're a city elf, because then he's your cousin), Leske, Ser Perth, Riordan....

I agree on Alistair's hardening, something a bit more drawn out, and mroe a case of sort of "showing him the light" instead of a blunt one line that seemed a harsh and out of place thing for a PC in love with him to say.

Get Cullen some help, like, hug-therapy with Tranquiled ex-blood mages or something,  and have him pop up later looking up the PC and asking if she'd like's to hook up after the whole blight thing. You know, a friendly date. Dinner, theater, and maybe hunting down Morrigan and her Satan child, if you took the option.

More gratuitous, pointless sex would have been pretty cool. Giving Riordan a roll in the sack before he goes off to certain doom would be a very considerate thing to do.

I forgot about Iona's daughter, but that would be a kick ass option, too. My noble found her daughter in the alienage, and I was disappointed I couldn't give the kid some money and find her someplace where someone could take care of her.

But I insist on Schloomples! And, for that matter, why not a side romance between Dog and the adorable little nug of doom! They could make little nugpys!

Whoa, whoa, when does THIS happen? I was a Dalish elf, and this never happened to me. Maybe I didn't go to camp often enough???

And in response to earlier posts, yeah, seducing Cauthrien would be fun. I bet she's a wildcat in bed. ;)

Stab him in the heart with the murder knife, and leave him lay around somewhere out of the way for about 100 years, he'll harden right up.

This!

And if my female mage is romancing Alistair and has him in the party? I want at least a "...Well, this is a little awkward..." comment from him when we run into Cullen in "Broken Circle."

I would have liked more emphasis on the actual stats in regards to romance options. While same sex options and romance options are not available for certain NPCs if your cunning and persuasion are high enough you should be able to talk your way into any one’s panties. It should have been an option to romance anyone and some people should require seriously high stats to get them to roll over buns up kneeling, but it should still be an available option if your skills are high enough. It should not matter what sex you play if your stats are high enough you should have been able to talk anyone out of thier knickers.

I would have liked the options (even if at extra cost) to have more graphic and interactive displays of sex during romance cut scenes. I would have liked to be able to go to the Pearl and pick a partner and have a menu of options your PC will perform or have performed on them. The ability to bury my PCs face between Leliana’s legs and control the action, or what ever variation floats your boat, I got another 50 bucks if you can make that dream a reality.

** To all the prudes whose morality alarms I just set off YES I want virtual sex. Why? Because it is guilt free I do not have to be a party to the dehumanization of another human being. So think about that before you flame me. *****

I want the ability to issue pimp slaps where approiate like when Allister has his hissy fit during the Landsmeet, “pimp slap”, now do as you are told.

I would have liked the ability to kill anyone I chose for what ever reason including just annoying me (looks at Morrigan).

I would have liked some more ability to use various buildings, like Warden’s Keep, or rent a home in Denerim for a base of operations. The ability to customize the buildings to my taste and in game budget. Have servants that would keep certain items in supply at the various locations like to have X number of elf roots always in stock at Wardens keep or the Denerim safe house.

As suggested the ability to give money to beggers or help the down trodden people you pass on your travels. It could tie in with the above in that you could hire Bella to manage your Denerim safe house.

I would have liked depending on the origin to be able to crown myself king, or keeper. I mean seriously I have not proved myself able to lead?

The ability to conscript party members and not always have to choose the same characters every time, would have added variation. Pick Bella in one play through and Leliana another, or Gorim as opposed to Sten, then build those characters to fill what ever role you want them to. I think it would be absolutely hilarious to have Bella become the party tank. To be able to leave Wynne in the tower and grab Keli or another surviving mage if you wanted one. Do away with the standard this is your party selections and open the game's NPCs to conscription even if thier is a penalty with either the NPC or the people around them. Even if you just make the new party members generic mages, rogues or warriors, you can tailor the party around your PC.

All in all most of the post in this thread I agree with, more choices, more stuff, just plain and simply more everything. Not to say that the game is bad oh contraire, the game is awesome, wanting more of it is a testament to it’s awesomness.

I noticed this as well. Here I am, Dalish Elf in the some lost ruins filled with books (where the Arcane Warrior gem spirit is), and I can't tell anyone about it, and can't haul any of it back. It is a bit odd.

I wish I had the option to use stealth to do some of the assasinations in the crows quests. Not exactly fun making everything into huge fights, like some emissary is just going to be sitting in his room with 15 armed guards just waiting for the door to pop open.

I would like the option to tell the King and Duncan that they can take the torch and stick it up their bum's for all I care I didn't risk my life drinking the blood of some nasty darkspawn just to light a signal fire for some idiot that can't figure out the best time to enter the fight, and then walk off.

How about using an even moderately decent archer to light it from the ground?

Yeah, this sums up my feelings pretty well. Certain areas of the game felt too limited, like you were either forced into happy situations or forced into depressing situations with little real choice in the matter. For example, there is really no truly happy ending in the game (unless you hate every character and don't care what happens to anyone). I know it's a dark fantasy, but just giving the player the OPTION of having their cake and eating it too doesn't take away the overall dark nature of the game. People who like tragedies can have their tragic ending, people who like bittersweet endings can have that, and people who want a happy ending can have that. Every customer walks away from the game happy. Certainly this couldn't be possible for every choice in the game, such as the four main quests before the climax, because then it really wouldn't be very dark at all if you could turn the world into rainbows and sunshine with high enough persuasion/intimidation. But the ending is something that a lot of players heavily anticipate. If the player puts hours and hours of effort into the game, they want a really satisfying ending (though really, even just less bugs in it would be quite nice).

Another example is romance--there really isn't an option to just lead someone on without actually caring about them. The game and all of the other characters just assume you're totally in love with them. What if I were just stringing Alistair along so that I could become queen and rule the kingdom? What if I only romanced Leliana because I thought she was hot and nothing more? I suppose that might be asking for too much, as it would take more time and effort to write out such events, program them, etc. So it's not really necessary, but it would still have been a nice touch.

I agree with the flirting with everyone, and more flings for the PC with various NPCs. AFAIK only the human noble gets to have a hot night with Dairren/Iona, the others don't even have that option. I haven't done the dwarfs origin yet, so I might be all wet in that one.

I so would love to be able to interject at the Landsmeet when Riordan comes up with his plan to recruit Loghain. In the line of "Hold on, time out. Why do you say that? What are your reasons? Are you pulling a Duncan here?"

Or at least have the oportunity to say to Alistair, after Riordan finally lets the cat out of the bag "See, you idjit. With Loghain we would have had another opportunity, and our odds would increase a lot. If the three of us die, the archdemon triumphs, with a fourth GW the odds would be much better, especially because even though he's a sob, he's a proven fighter, and he cares very much about Ferelden."

To repeat what I say in my one-woman campaign: I want my dog as a free companion!

what i would like are more race dialogue options... for example... my dalish elf is suspicious of humans and has suddenly had the option of telling alistair how handsome he is...... i know i can just not choose that option but it would be more appropriate if there was an option of say... youre not so bad after all.. for a human/shemlen....

there are different dialogues based on origin stories so logically dialogue should follow...imo ofc ^_^
