YES!
I'm sick of finding out I am apparently in a relationship with Leliana or Alistair by having Zevran give me 'the  talk' and then having to 'break up' with L or A .........

Non reciprocal romance. If character X has a thing for you its assumed you have a thing back for them when speaking with other characters. IE, they make you choose or assume you love them or Wynn comments. Never is there a 's/he has a crush on me but I'm unsure' or 'I'm just using him/her'. I'd think Zev or (hardened) Leliana would completely understand leading Alister on so you (and by association they) get to to pull the future king's puppet strings.

/slap Goldanna for being a silly ****. Why wasn't that an option? She's flapping her mouth, Alastair is just sitting there taking it - should have gone this way instead...

*Goldanna flapping on about nothing*

PC: *whispers to Alastair* "You going to take that from her?! be a man!"

Alastair: *Slaps Goldanna across the face* "Enough you ungrateful b*tch!"

And THAT could be how you harden him too :-P

Killing those assclowns Bhelen and Harrowmont and naming someone else (or yourself as dwarf) the new king of Orzammar.

Killing Eamon and siding with a demon for a REAL Legion of the Dead instead of some dwarfs with a silly name. (When I read you could recruit the legion I thought "Hell Yea!! Undead soldiers!!!" When I got them I was really disappointed)

Solving the problems between werewolfes and Dalish without destroying one side (I count curing the werewolfes as destroying them, since they loose their werewolfness.)

Killing the templars (and especially Greagoir, that b*tch) in the Magi´s quest.

More involvement of the Blackstone Irregulars and the possibility to recruit them as army.

Talking with bloodmages and possibly recruiting them instead of always having to kill them.

- more romantic--or at least hook-up--opportunities with NPCs.  My faves are Cullen (why feel guilty over a crush when you can feel guilty over an actual affair?!), Daveth (he's flirty enough--why not take him up on his offer?), Teagan (ditto), and Kylon (one of the cooler NPCs; too bad you can't do more with him).  I'm sure those who love the ladies could weigh in on some choices there!

As one who loves the ladies:

-Ability to Recruit a Desire Demon to the Party group and Romanceable npc option (As for her Specs she would start as a Blood Mage and be able to disguise herself as a normal Human while Adventuring). The whole point of her NPC quest would be to learn about the nature of Desire, and about getting what you need, which is not necessarily getting what you think you want, and as to who's controlling whom. I always thought Desire demons were as much a victim of their own desires as they are about granting the desires of others. (Kind of Like having a Genie in your Party)

-More Greatful ladies for Helping them out. (Like Kaitlyn, Bella and Isolde (Ya I went there) in Redcliffe, Anora in Denerim. you might accept "that" as payment from them for helping out. Persuasion Check a must)

-Spirit of the Forest, put in as a way to "seal" the deal between you and the werewolves. (Since Wolves mate for life it would be appropriate to show acceptance as the main character would be the Alpha male of the Pack, so to speak)

Broken record.  :D

I wish upon a star that my mage could have found an ancient scroll, that had the ritual  Morrigan used, in one of Irvings bookcases or down in the basement when she was helping Jowan.

Irving had Flemeth's book so it stands to reason that someone could have picked up the ritual centuries ago and stuck in some corner.  And if the mage isn't interested in Allistair they could still try to talk him into doing it with Morrigan or not.

If I knew how to do all this computer mod stuff this would be my mod.    The only thing I would change.

And if my female mage is romancing Alistair and has him in the party? I want at least a "...Well, this is a little awkward..." comment from him when we run into Cullen in "Broken Circle."

Yeah, I did think it was a bit odd. My mage PC told Alistair that she'd never licked a lamp post in winter, either, and here's this guy blurting all this stuff. I was so seriously tempted to choose "Bet you wish you didn't say all those things," but my PC was a shy girl. She just wanted to get through it as quickly and as painlessly as possible, with as little discomfort to Cullen a she could possibly manage. Me, the player, on the other hand, would have liked to see Alistair and Cullen puffing out their chests at each other. Maybe with an accusative "You said you never... you know..."

And speaking of which, if you did say you were as inexperienced as he was, it would have been nice if he responded to her invitatation (you know the one) like she was offering him something as special as he seems to think it is. Here he is, going on and on, acting like she's an old pro. Kind of insulting, really.

I feel the Circle bit was just done awkwardly. There is a choice, but it's not really that clear. You do the exact same thing, but in the end you get to pick mages or templars. It's not like siding with Bhelen or Harrowmont, preserving the anvil or not, siding with werewolves or elves...

I just wish things would have gotten out of hand, and you would be forced to either fight the templars or the mages. But it you choose to side with the templars, the mages just go quietly, and if you choose mages... the head templar guy actually AGREES with you!

WHAT?

Total let-down. The templar vs. mage thing was one of the most anticipated bits for me, and the reason I picked a mage to begin with. But there is really barely any conflict at all. Why not let the player side with Uldred, and have an army of Abominations at your side? It's really no different than choosing Branka's side and having her slaughter hundreds of innocent dwarves to fuel the anvil and create golems.

Same with Gorim. If your Dwarf Noble is female, and you have a romance with him during the origin story, he is conveniently married into another family when you meet him in Denerim.

I agree that it would be cool to side with Uldred. After all, he DOES the right thing, though he might have overdone it a bit.
However, I really liked that Irving and Greagoire do sort of agree. I disliked Irvings decision, but it´s nice to have some NPCs who dont like the "fight to the end" fashion. Also, Greagoire shows that templars CAN be rational, at least sometimes. (Not that I wouldnt kill him happily, did I have the chance:devil:, but its still nice.)

From what I've read you can ****** off both the mages and templars... just make sure you are a blood mage and accept Wynne into the group, allegedly when you get downstairs Wynne questions if you are a Blood Mage and if you say yes... it becomes a battle royale with you and your 2 other buddies vs Wynne and the remaining people in the tower. (so might be a good idea to let Irving die upstairs).

Am going to try it on one of my upcoming playthroughs, going to leave the circle till last so can get levels and powers up, sacrifice the stupid orlesian bint and RP getting my blood mage powers from the demon, then go up to the tower and wreak havoc.

I really hope what I've heard is true, be interesting to see if the tower gets an epilogue text box.

Well, at least your city elf female gets an appropriate response from Alistair or Zevran (or both) when you go to the alienage and they hear the words "your wedding."

Playing as a city elf, I was wondering why there's no option to offer Alistair my sword when he says he wishes he had something of Duncan's. It's even called Borrowed Longsword, and I have Duncan's crossbow too. Maybe I'm hording all the mementos?

When talking to Greagoir before starting the Circle tower, I wish one of the responses was a bit different. He says that he's not looking for survivors because it's too painful to look and find none. The PC can express surprise and outrage, but I keep looking for an option to say "You're leaving them to die because you might cry if they do die? What?"

I'd like nonreciprocal romances too. I managed to get one to some extent by triggering the Zevran romance after being dumped by Alistair after the Landsmeet, but that's only because there isn't much party interaction left at that point.

Like others have said, I'd like more party responses to your background. NPC responses too, actually. None of the elves seem to notice if the city elf PC is in a relationship with a human. Party members don't seem to acknowledge when you return to your starting point or if they meet your family or friends. There's no option to argue with Alistair over his opinion on purging the tower if you're a mage, and so on.

The assumption that my characters know about and usually support the Chantry is odd too. My dwarves probably didn't hear about it before hitting the surface, and yet they're expected to argue for the Chant and comment on its contents. There's chances to avoid it, but it's fairly easy to get blocked into a set of dialogue options that each assume you know about and believe in the Chant to some extent. It's especially odd in Sten's dialogue. A dwarf can say that wisdom comes from the ancestors, not the Chant, but if you try to revisit that topic you have to begin by saying there's wisdom in the Chant. Why not offer the option of asking about the Qun or wisdom directly if other background-related belief systems aren't going to be an option? For that matter, more chances to express that the PC isn't very religious at all would be nice.

Conversation option I wish I had:
When you are first in Orzammar and you speak to Lord Harrowmount's advisor for some reason Zevran suddenly has an opinion on who we should side with - ie Bhaelen cos he's apparently strong and Harrowmount is a wuss because his fighters are not going to be in the provings.
Anyhoo, you can use a 'persuade' line in response to Zevran, and he says something like 'oh well i guess not everyone is strong enough to face death like an antivan'
(and I don't think you get to say anything at all to him then, you resume speaking to the advisor)
WHY can't you say to Zevran 'what, pleading for mercy with your face in the dirt?'
I mean it's begging to be said...... (not that I dislike him in any way, i just wanted to say that!)

The ability to kick Loghain in the nuts the first time you meet him at Ostagar. He's such a smug bastard.

I also wanted to be able to actually kill Howe's son and wife, in front of him preferably.

I'd like to burn down Goldanna's hut.

I wanted to find Fergus before the end of the game.

I'd have liked to rule Orzammar on my Aeducan character, Bhelen's a douche and Harrowmont is as useless as ****** on a bull.

And I really, really would have liked to slit Anora's throat, even before the Landsmeet. She's such a ****.

Isn't it obvious? Gregoir is a nice guy. He cares about his charges - templars AND the mages. He doens't want to anull the tower, in fact, he tries to avoid that. If Irwing is saved, even if you try talking Gregoir into annuling the tower, he won't do it.

I was downright impressed wiht the geezer. Wanted him in the party. Hell yeah.

 I wanted there to be an origin specific companion you could pick up from relevant parts of the main quest;
Human Noble ~ Fergus, would've made sense and worked to tie in this origin with the main quest far better than it currently is (where the hell was Fergus for the entirety of the story anyways?)
Mage ~ Jowan, I've heard it was at one point in development considered that Jowan could be recruitable, it would've made sense, pull the right 'o' conscription on him.
Dwarf Noble ~ Gorim, it really should have been possible to get him to take up his old warrior ways again after meeting him in Denerim, he could even be a romance option for a female dwarf noble pc.
Dwarf Commoner ~ Leske, just like Gorim this guy should have been recruitable for the commoner
Dalish Elf ~ Tamlen, it might be a bit of a strech to explain him however if he wasn't quite so far gone when he arrives it could be very explainable, perhaps he could have a personal quest that would affect him greatly; i.e. depending on how you do it he could be "cured" of the taint or succumb to it and you end up with a shriek party member B)
City Elf ~ Shianni, she's just an awesome character and what could be better than having her along for the majority of the story?

That is a fantastic idea. It would have been great to be able to have a party made up of your own people. It would be great to have the ability to recruit some party members from the dalish or take shianni and one other from the alienage. A similar thing could be done wth dwarves (but no one cares about dwarves). This way you could have an entire party of anti human elven freedom fighters and how awesome would that have been! (with all the appropriate dialogue options included of course) :D

I would have liked to have been able to inform Gregoir that Godwin is pushing lyrium. You can threaten Godwin with it, but then, when you talk to Gregoir, you can't even mention it.

Honestly, I think this is a bug more than a design choice.

@ Lotion Soronnar: I, too liked Gregoir. He's just awesome.

When you get thrown in jail n Morrigan was in your party when it happened n your romancing Leliana... Morrigan mentions a ring she gives you if you romance her to Eamon n being able to find you... I'd like to see maybe Leliana flying off the handle either to the PC or Morrigan about why the **** you got a ring from Morrigan n one that lets her know where you are at all times... Lol I think that may be an interestin convo there lmao especially if you romanced Morrigan before Leliana...
