So I'm at the quest, Cammen's Lament, and am figuring out how to solve it. I don't think the two should end up together as she is nice but practical and he is just to delusional to see they don't work. So I want to seduce her, since she is in the top two females of the game for me, but i'm not sure of the consequences. If you lie to cammen, the whole clan finds out and gets mad. If I tell him the truth, he gets mad and runs off. Can anyone tell me, from experience, what happens after he runs off? The clan doesn't seem to react immediately so I need to know all of the long term effects.

I think it's strongly implied that he dies.

(I have done this quest before, but nobody ever comes right out and says "He's dead because of you!" Still the "quest finished" message kind of sounds gloomy.)

Edit: If it helps, I just finished a playthrough of this plot arc, and I didn't complete or even aquire the quest. I just figured that if he can put his money where his mouth is, he deserves her. If not, screw him.

I usually just skip the two Dalish camp quests. Cammen should never have children and Athenras/Danyla never ends well. If you don't do the quests, Cammen tells you he can hunt for a pelt on his own and Danyla is missing, which I take to mean she's cured.

If you play DA2 it sort of negates any Dalish quest outcomes. (Or at least it did for me. One of the reasons I don't like DA2 and only played it once.)
