Yup. and because of his problem he wants to take away somethong from everyone else's game.

BTW Rawgrim, the heart shaped icons are gone. Bioware has said they decided to make it less obvious.

Ok. So if smurfs armed with laser rifles suddenly attack and conquer Orlais in DA3, it would be ok? Since its fiction. everything is ok.  Gravity is also a bellief (still just a theory actually) from our world. That means in DA nobody should assume it excists.

People being bisexual is not the issue. Its the fact that when all the love interests are bi, it breaks immersion.

If a heart shaped icon can break your immersion, I'm sorry but the problem lies with you and maybe you should campaign for a different icon, not for the removal of options for other people.

It's just to convenient to have the romanceable companions be comprised of nothing but bisexuals, and it hurts the immersion factor for people who are interested in definitive personalities in their companions.

A person's personality is not altered because they like the same sex.The two have nothing to do with one another.

I ultimately don't care. But I do believe that each gender of PC should have the same amount of choices. There shouldn't be more of X romance than Y.

It was pretty annoying that come ME3, gay Manshep and straight Femshep are essentially stuck with two options. Meanwhile, the reverse is rolling in ladies.

Again, instead of campaigning for a new icon you are campaigning for the removal of some "rat poison" that will kill / spoil your game. ..

Your homophobia is showing.

Are you sure? Because as I remember it, he explicitely states to male!Hawke that he and Karl had a relationship.

The exact lines are:

"Growing up in the Circle, everything is about order and rules and the templars. The apprentices... we found ways to make that bearable. Karl and I... he was the first. We could forget that out in the world we were nothing but templar slaves. We hadn't been together for a long time. But still... it hurt."

Then a bit later:

"They don't see us as people. They don't care that Karl was someone's son... someone's lover."

Really? I said I wanted to take it away? Where exactly did i do that? I have merely been stating why it breaks immersion when every romance options are Bi.

More options is great, but the idea of Hawke being so darn sexy he/she can turn anyone bisexual? That always struck me as stupid. Anders was obviously only interested in the vag in Awakening, but then he meets Hawke and now he swings both ways?
Now, I'm bisexual but it wasn't some daring and dashing man who came along and made be enjoy penis.

Spot on!  For some unexplained reason, Hawke (because he is player controlled), can get into bed with anyone he wants. No matter what gender heshe is, and no matter the sexuall prefferance of his romances.

Really? Cause my Hawke sure as hell didn't manage to get Aveline/Meredith/Orsino into bed with her...

And it is not 'unexplained'. Hawke talks to her LI, she takes care of them. She is kind to them and is there for them when they need her. (I don't know anything about the rivalmances, so I don't know what happen in those.)
They grow closer over time and fall in love.
There is nothing illogical or 'unexplained' about that.

they magically turn gay if you romance someone of your characters gender. They turn straight if you go the opposite road. Exact same romance, exact same cutscenes. The whole romance bit was simplified. Nothing deeper behind it at all. Its immersion breaking when things like this happen in games, deffinatly. The same way there was only 1 cave in the entire game.

...So in other words you want to take choices away from people because you don't want to have to look at a heart-shaped icon that has absolutely no relevance if you don't choose it?

Really now, some people...

Seriously? I did write it down that the rat poison bit was there to just show how absurd your own argument was. Now you are just looking for stuff to derail the topic.

If you actually read through the posts in the thread, you will also see that I am for having gay options in the game. Just not having all of the options bisexuall.

Yes, you said it breaks immersion when everyone is bi. Which means you don't want everyone to be bi. Which means you want these options to be gone.
Which means you want to take those choices away.

How else can it be interpreted?

Are you bothered by other options you don't take on the dialogue wheel?  Like, if you're not playing evil, does it bother you to see the choice to murder in cold blood, when it comes up?

As long as you're playing a role playing game, there are some paths you won't take.  Why does it bother you in this instance?

Yes, because this is all about 'getting it on' with people.
I just want to have the same choices as everyone else. Is that so wrong?

Oh yeah, preferably having gay LI marked in some way, say, a scarlet letter or something right so you don't have to get near them.

Or better yet, ask for a "hetero only" version for you. So you don't have to realize people are complex and can have different ideas of sexuality.

INCORRECT.

Aveline and Varric both had Heart shaped conversations and both flat out reject Hawke. Just FYI.

Personality was the only word i could come up with at that moment. I was trying to talk about the person's history, experience, likes, dislikes, quirks, sexual preferance, etc. that combines together to define who they are.

then convince me I am wrong. instead of going "you you you you". The subject isn`t me. Its how every love interest in a game being bisexuall CAN break immersion for people.
