I saw this on wikipedia and source was ''confirmed by BioWare developers'' but it was removed shortly after it was added, is there anywhere else we can see a confirmation on this?

Why no Wynne? I'd think that, regarding the relevance of mages to the plot (coupled with her trippin' around Thedas with Shale) she'd have quite a bit of potential.

Sebastian - I want to see what his political position with Starkhaven has turned into, whether he's managed to muster any form of support for his claim or if he's completely abandoned the fight. I'd also like to see what kind of a man he's become since the murder of Elthina, her death was a reality check and has probably sparked a descent into self-loathing, bitterness and rage.

*Shrugs* Guy is probably passed out in a bar somewhere, a complete slob of a man that lost everything, like Drunkard Alistair. Would still be nice to see what became of him.

I want Morrigan to return in DA3, but not as a companion. I'd prefer to have a completely new cast of companion, or if there's some returning NPC from the previous games, they weren't companions in the previous games.

i think none of the companions should be in da3 fresh start i think but cullen woulod be [perfect for bioware to do more on as he wasnt a major charectar in 1&2

In my head it makes the most sense to have fresh companions every game. Old companions could become NPCs, only if they didn't go off with the previous games hero for further journeys.

It just feels wrong to know that a character your last hero recruited and fought together with suddenly skipped out on them and is doing other random things in the world. If I wanted that I wouldn't have asked them to come along in the first place.

I'd LOVE for Nathaniel Howe to be back, but if I remember correctly, in my playthrough he died while defending Vigil's Keep.

And no, I wouldn't be fine with retconning him. When things happen in real life they can't be retconned and that's the way I roleplay in my games: a decision made has a consequence attached to it and it shall be as such.

So, from the poll list and according to my playthroughs... Let's see: Sebastian never existed as I don't have the DLC, Fenris died because he opposed me at the end of DA2, Isabela ran off somewhere in the middle of the game and never came back, Bethany is dead, my Fereldan Warden is dead because I made no pact with Morrigan, my Orlesian Warden walked into the sunset, Cullen doesn't really interest me all that much (even though mage supporting Templars are cool), Hawke is an idiotic schizophrenic pawn who just happened to be there, Aveline bored me at times, Merril I want to strangle for making me kill every elf in god damned Sundermount, etc...

Oh! I know who I want to be back! Finn!
I love his OCD with cleanliness and books. He's smart and I quite enjoy his humor and perspective on things. No idea how he could be weaved into Inquisition's plot, but after recently replaying Witch Hunt, I really would like to have him in my party again.

I bet all the companions will be new with maybe the exception of one. But many characters from 2 and origins could still play a major role in the story.

Why do we have all the companions in the poll + Cullen? He doesn`t fit in the poll. The companions from Awakening and Witch Hunt are missing too. I wanted to vote for Sigrun.
