I don't necessarily want Sebastian as a team mate, but I do want Bioware to do something with his cliffhanger of a story. Depending on how you handled his crisis moment, they made him into a potential ally or an enemy. That could easily build into something more. Can he potentially give you assets for the upcoming battle, or make your march toward the finale a big pain your you-know-what?
I never played his DLC - Is it really worth getting?

At the very least it offers you insight into the politics of the Chantry and their stance on the events of Kirkwall. It also allows you to get to know the Grand Cleric Elthina and understand her view points better. As well as insight into the events at Starkhaven, and the political upheaval that is currently going on within the Free Marches.I never played his DLC - Is it really worth getting?
Sebastian as a character, in and of himself, has a very conflicted nature which makes him a very uncertain person, bordering on hypocritical at times. He's a devout Andrastian and occasionally makes it known, yet at other times his emotional nature often overrides his Chantry teachings.
There's a little hiccup on the writer's part with party banter, which I've found out recently a lot of people tend to dislike, but beyond that - He has relatively little content in comparison to other companions and his personal story is left very open ended.
I personally find Sebastian to be a reasonably compelling character, but it took a lot for me to warm to him and I still hate a great many things about his personality. The DLC itself as I said, offers great insight into the Chantry which is something I like about it.
It's not a lot of information, but it's the best I can give you - The choice is entirely your's.

The excellent thing is, Sebastian's character can most definitely go down this route - Regardless of the ending of Dragon Age 2.If Sebastian returns, I want to see him as a drunk in a tavern and not the same sanctimonious Prig he was in DA:2
He's lost everyone that he loved, the pain and sorrow must be overwhelming and Sebastian does not handle excess of emotion very well.... Funnily enough, he has the potential to turn into the archetype that I put out on the F/M Romance Thread.
(Though I imagine the archetype, while currently popular, would rapidly lose it's appeal if women discovered I just said that.)

If you were just starting the game 'the exiled prince"'adds to the chantry side of things plus you get a good shield and knife! So yeah probably not worth it to you now. You also meet Leliana.AdmiralDavidAnderson wrote...
