A friend of mine has told me that it was confirmed that Cassandra was a party member for DA3. This friend also has a long history of being dishonest, but this time he assures me he's telling the truth. I've looked for over a half hour trying to find a source confirming this, but I haven't seen anything. I'm starting to think he lied, but I don't want to call him out again if he is telling the truth. Could someone please clear this up for me? Thanks guys.

Cassandra is just rumored to be a squad mate. She will be in the game 100% - But whether that means she is in your party is not yet fully known.

Well, they did show some concept art a few months back showing how companion armor could be customized in "any future game" one of the characters was a seeker that closely resembled Cassandra and the other was a warden with a big beard.
