So, I got Borderlands 2 today and I've just been reminded about a small feature I love in RPGs. The scrolling numbers/text...

I'd love to see a toggle feature to turn this on or off. Would it be hard to implement? It seems everything is based on math and number formulas anyway behind the scenes, why not show it to the player? Have it turned off by default.

Just something satisfying about seeing CRITICAL and big numbers flowing by that go from 3k to 7k damage. It's also great notifying you when negative/positive status ailments go over your characters. Most MMOs seem to use this these days. It's something  I'd love to see in DA3...

What do you guys think?

You said Borderlands 2 which has a first person perspective. Clearly this is an FPS feature aimed at catering to the COD dudebros. I hate it with all of my being.

Sarcasm? Many MMOs use this feature. The negative to this is clutter on your screen. But some players like that. I love seeing flowing numbers as I'm wrecking stuff and seeing massive critical numbers. If done right, it helps identify what is going on in combat easier too. I don't know. Maybe it's just me. :?

DA2 had floating feedback, no? I seem to remember long streams of numbers and multicolored status strings.

Hmm. Does it? If it does, I don't think I've ever used it. And I didn't know you could toggle it on...

How did I miss that?
