I also made a tutorial for converting RAW .avis to .mp4s without too much real loss to quality for a friend so that uploading to YouTube becomes more manageable (compression of about 15:1MB) that I can post or PM if that's helpful.

while i agree that for FPS and 3PS gaming, PC controls are far superior (i used to game a lot on PC when i was younger -- late teens / early 20s).... but now i have lots of things to spend the bulk of my money on. So your statement may hold true.... but only half true. I think it might be accurate to say late teens through mid-late 20s would prefer to buy a PC over an xbox or PS3 as a gaming system because it is inarguably a superior experience as far as control and graphics in the types of games that demographic wants.... and they have the disposable income and don't really have to buy both..... so rather than it looking like this:
xb0x/ps3 ----------- 10 yrs old ------- PC ---->
it looks more like this: Xbox/ps3 --------- 10 yrs old --------PC ------whenever you have family/kids -----console---->
for most people.
I know, I over exagerate every single thing I post on here. Real life obligations>>>pc gaming rigs

but ..... well lets just say i was severely injured due to a mechanical defect in something several years back. if that ever comes to fruition.... a pc rig may well be on the agenda hahahah.
BUT --- they've really come a long way with console shooters as far as controls. before my friends coerced me to play halo i absolutely REFUSED to play any FPS on console. i was just adamant that the controls were crap and i couldn't pull it off. then they got me on halo. i still kept playing on my PC -- but this was ... what... almost 10 years ago? that PC is long out of date...
TL;DR personal anecdote section
and when my wife and i first got a computer we were broke and unexpectedly came into money (she likes playing poker..... they hit one of the table jackpot conditions and she got like 4 grand for just being at the table.... winners got like 20k and 40k respectively.... four of a kind beating 10s full of aces or something of the like..... with the full house getting the 40...... anyway long story....) but that all got eaten up with the rent we were behind on and stuff (this was when our daughter was just a couple months old)..... we had a few hundred left so got a desk and a computer. the computer cost 300 bucks ... all i needed it to do was access the internet and store files essentially. and this was like... 3 years ago... so you can imagine how useful it would be fore PC gaming today heheh...
anyway.... they've really made them playable ever since then.
it's also worth noting that i've seen some companies that make mouse/control stick rigs for the xbox/ps3
i've been SO CLOSE to buying one .... but i just wonder where i would use the mouse etc.... i'd have to get like... a plank or something. anyone ever use one of those things? are they crap that don't live up to what they should?
ah well..
Console player here to state that PC is indeed the master race.... most of us console peasants have our own reasons for playing console - and it's very rarely that we think the console is superior for FPS / 3ps gaming.
