I personally like the concept of different classes, with their own quirks and characteristics. But, I also liked the freedom that Origins had in that regard; in other words, I really missed the possibility to equip my characters with weapons and armors that are not originally thought for that particular class.

The level of restriction on DA2 when it comes to this point is excessive. I like the uniqueness of each class, but I also think that a bit of freedom in this department helps to make more personal and original characters. Why I can't give my mage some daggers? And why all the rogues are restricted to one particular set of weapons? And the worst of all..., why such restriction for fighters? They can't use bows, crossbows or two swords?

Anyway, what do you think? Do you want that the restrictions of weapons again in DA 3? Or do you prefer the freedom of Origins?

Feel free to vote the poll, too! ^_^

with all the possibilities each characters had in their classes (4 speciality at least) i didn't feel restricted, then againg i never used crossbow for warrior in dao, the only one i was switching was for rogue and i thought not having the fast switching option in da2 was very annoying
if rogue could throw daggers rather than switch to bow (like the skill of throwing bombs) that'd be even better
experience points are so sparse in the da (it's good cause each level up is important) so trying to share them between, say, rogue abilities and archery won't make a great character, i dropped that idea in da2

some skill such as animal summons should be dropped and you should have a system for raising animal and use them as an extra party member, but if it falls during battle you'd need a potion to heal his wonds (a cross between dao and da2) but maybe that is off topic
