Certainly not, or at least a new game would definitely not be an instant pre-order from me. If you'd asked me last year if I was going to get any other ME games after 3 I wouldn't be able to pull out my cash quickly enough. As it is I can't even replay the first two ME games; as much as I try to recapture the same sense of joy and wonder that I felt playing them the first time or even the sixth time round, I'm no longer having fun with them because I'm always thinking "What's the point? It's all building up to the same ****ty ending."

So yeah, Bioware are basically going to have to pull off a miracle to get me interested in a new ME release. Right now they could release a point-and-click adventure game written by Neil Gaiman, Stephen Fry and Dan Abnett and I'd still be leery of it.

Maybe, if ME4 starts right where ME3 left off and we have the chance to make the current ending not the...you know "End" then I will probably buy it, after waiting for user reviews this time.

If it's a prequel, sidequel, in the far future, another galaxy or some other such crap then no definately not.

I wouldn't even if 3 was the best game ever. I came for a trilogy, a trilogy is what I played.

Not after seeing how Shepard got treated like garbage at the end of ME3. Why get invested again?

Yes I'd buy it. The Mass Effect universe is too rich for it to be abandoned, so long as it isn't an MMORPG. I want a full single player experience that is not influenced in any way by a multiplayer element. By all means include one but keep them separate.

I'd snap their hands off if they were to continue Shepard's story but it feels done to me. I'm not opposed to a new protagonist though. Bioware excel at making characters I care about.

After ME3 I never touched the series again. Though lately I've been playing skyrim with the ME1 and 2 soundtrack and I'm starting to regain interest in replaying the series. Perhaps if I drink plenty of alcohol I won't notice the failures in ME3 so much. And who knows, with the EC and me being drunk, the ending might actually be bearable.

Whether or not I'll buy a new ME game is a difficult question. BioWare no longer enjoys preferential treatment as far as I'm concerned. No more pre orders from them that's for sure. If the next ME game is good then I'll buy it, if not then I'll leave it. If it's in between I'll wait for a price drop or buy it used instead.

I will buy the next game... unless its MMO. No interest in that.

ME3 failed to deliver many promises but it's still damn good game. I hate EA/Bioware DLC policy but I may buy another game if it seems cool enough.

I don't know what people who 'lost total interest in ME' are doing on this forum.

After the way they left Shepard in ME3, the answer is a No, unless its expanded on that, has a great story, awesome characters, or get to play Shep to end his/her story, but right now who knows, i know at least that multiplayer will be included for the next game so that's a plus, not really an auto pre-order title though.

Many of us don't consider that a plus...in fact I blame alot of ME3's problems on that very thing.

It would have to be done by a new team and they can not be attached to EA.

I won't know until the game is out, but at this juncture, probably not. I like the ME universe but I'm just not really crazy over the way gaming has evolved, more MP, more predefined main characters, more shooter style gamely. So if ME4 or whatever it'll be called has even more of that stuff in it or god forbid it's an MMO, then no, I won't buy it. But we'll see.

Have these people that defend ME3 even watched some of the better reviews? I'm of the opinion people are unwilling to see the truth, because they are so in love with the characters, etc.

I don't even know what the next game will be like so I can't say. If it's an MMO or an FPS I will not be interested.
If it's an RPG-shooter hybrid like the trilogy it will depend vastly on whether I find the game and its conclusion satisfactory.
I don't want to beat a dead horse but if that turns out to be the case, I'm not interested.

So will you buy another mass effect game after the let down of mass effect 3?

Certainly not. In fact, I'm hard-pressed to find a good reason to purchase anything with the BioWare label printed on it.

The brand - or what is left of it - is on the fast lane towards the same void old favorites like Bullfrog and Westwood got sucked into. The past few years have been like watching a train wreck occur in slow-motion, and I have yet to see the signs that indicate the trains are going to miss eachother by a hair at the last moment.

I loved all the ME games and I will buy the next one.  I could care less what the haters say.  I like what I like.

Train wreck as follows

DA2/TOR/ME3..........

How anyone thinks whatever ME they release will be any good are the ones that can see past there pre-release lies and didnt mind there choices not mattering any bit

if it takes them 5 years to make it and EA arent involved then i'll be sure to pick it up, but i highly doubt it wont be that way so i guess another gears of war clone will be released.

Unlikely but possible. I'll take a look at it when it's there. I'll decide once I've played a demo, read some reviews and watched some videos. We'll see. Except if it's a prequel. If it's a prequel I'll go from "Unlikely but possible" to "lol hell no".

Good game if the players reviews are good.
Bad game if the players reviews are bad.

Simple.
