Who the hell trusts user reviews on the internet. Yeah I'm really going to place faith in people who think every game/movie/book/show is either the best thing ever or the worst thing ever.

I like Mass Effect, the entire series, and I will be playing whatever else Bioware releases so I can make up my own mind. Outside of a small handful of reviewers who I personally share similar preferences with, listening to someone else's opinion on a game is like having them tell me whether or not I should like a restaurant even though I haven't eaten there yet.

People loving James Cameron's Avatar didn't stop me from hating it, and people hating on ME3 doesn't mean I don't love it.

No, ME3 killed the setting for me. Now I just want them to let the setting die and move away from it rather than give it the "Weekend at Bernies" treatment.

I wait good reviews buy the players and, if their good, maybe i buy it. After the "overloaded advertise" for ME3 i'll go carefully!

I certainly won't be in any rush to. If it's a standalone game and is done well (i.e. written by people who actually realise that thinking things through is a good idea) then perhaps. If it's a trilogy probably not, at least until the whole thing is out.

I'll read the reviews of sources I trust, do a bit of research, then decide.

I actually liked playing ME3, just interacting with the characters is worth it. I have confidence that whatever mistakes the team made they can learn from them, they haven't failed badly enough for me to denounce them yet.

No more preorders. No more special editions.

I'll wait to see what the reaction is.

This.

Loved the games & 99% of ME3. AS LONG as it's not MP or MMO!

When that game comes out, everybody and their mother will buy it. And I do mean everybody.

I won't, after ME3's lack of choices and resolution.

I love the ME Universe in general but there is just too much that can go wrong with another ME game. Will it be a sequel or a prequel, will it be of the same genre as ME1 to ME3 or another type of game all together, which of the 3 ME games will the next ME resemble the most in terms of content and gameplay mechanics ( ME1, ME2 or ME3 ), will the next ME game feature tonnes of auto dialogue, will we get ME1 and ME2 style conversations back or is Bioware sticking with the eavesdropping ****, will planet exploration come back, will our choices matter this time around or will the next ME game pull a ME3 an ignore every choice we ever made in the past.

I want to want the next ME game but I have lost alot of faith in Bioware, words cannot begin to describe how much I dislike ME3 and how much it and Bioware let me down. I have said it time and time again but out of all the Bioware games I have played I hav eonly enjoyed 1, ME2, that isn't a very good track record. I have every right to be weary of a next ME game.

I'll only get more Mass Effect content if that ending crap is retconned out. I'm not interested in a universe built on principles that contradict each other and inevitably will confuse and demean the story.

I'm pretty sure one major reason LotR was so successful was how it was crafted. C.S. Lewis said of it:

"No imaginary world has been projected which is at once so multifarious and so true to its own inner laws; none so seemingly objective..."

He was not talking about the success of LotR being due to that trait. That is my conjecture. Every time I've heard "elvish" language that isn't from LotR, it seems like cheap imitation. For example, Warcraft's "Anare La Belore." Sounds cute and semi-legit but it lacks the same foundation that Middle-Earth's languages had. That may be seen as unfair, since world-class philologists don't grow on trees, and as such I don't really hold that against Blizzard or anything, but the difference of quality does not go unnoticed.

However, Mass Effect 3's ending is distinguished by the feeling that they didn't even try to be true to the story. With that jumble now existing as canon, you can't build upon it. The foundation is destroyed and must be repaired first in order to continue the story.

ME1 is my favorite game of all time. ME2 is 2nd. ME3 made me want to stop putting video games in lists. But I won't let that stop me from being a loyal BioWare fan. Will preorder.

I've weighed this question before and my answer is still the same as when I first played ME3:

I won't buy another Mass Effect game unless they fix ME3's endings. For real this time, e.g., adding a new option and not expanding on their existing drenn. Besides, their endings cripple future games and past games alike as they stand anyway, so it has to be addressed.

I'm invested in the ME universe, I'll continue to buy both ME and DA games. I'll think long and hard about buying another IP though, emotional trauma and disappointment are not stirring end themes.

A prequel - No!
Synthesis canon - No!
Xbox 360 - No!

Other than those 3 reasons, I`ll just wait and see.

No. Not only because of how rushed and sloppy the ending was either. BWs whole reaction to this ending debacle has been nothing short of disgusting. I feel like BW no longer has the heart and passion they once had, instead replaced with the corperate mindset and greed. Maybe EA is to blame, or maybe I was just foolish to think they'd always stay the same.

I won't be pre-ordering BioWare games ever again. I had 100% trust for BioWare until the massive letdown of the most important game of the Mass Effect trilogy. Narrative coherence was so lost in the final minutes that it absolutely killed the entire game for me.

I might, maybe, maybe, buy another game from BioWare, but that depends on what you guys here on the forums think of it.
Pre-order? Pff.
Deluxe Edition? No way.
Collectors Edition? When I get my blue babies.

Why would I buy another Mass Effect game? So I can have another protagonist get treated like garbage at the end of the story?
