Not completely sure. Leaning towards no. Especially not unless extensive YouTubing is done first. Need more data.

Beginning to think all the best RPG writers are at Obsidian and Bethesda.

I guess that really depends on DA3, if its another failure, I think Bioware will be finished.

Apart from the last 20 minutes, I have forgotten a lot of ME3, I remember ME and ME2 clearly played so many times. ME3 felt like a filler game with and ending tacked on, I wish it had been the filler and a great conclusion was on the way in ME4, but that won't happen .

I have been forced to imagine my own end for ME3 and my Shep is in a distant part of the Galaxy living a simple and very happy life with Liara, at peace knowing the rest of the galaxy is safe after they destroyed the Reapers. And Liara continues to do good in her role as the SB. Money grabbing fraudulent corporations no longer have a strangle hold in every industry including gaming. ME4 seems irrelevant to me.

If you had asked me before EC + Leviathan, I would have said no. But as it is my interest has been rekindled in the Mass Effect series and I would likely buy the next Mass Effect game as long as it had favourable user reviews, I would not get CE or pre-order though,

Depends whether EA shaft the frak out of the story and make it MP only. If they do that then i will not be purchasing it. We all know Bioware's founders and their lead writer left the company because EA were tightening the reigns and not letting them make creative decisions for themselves.

Nope.. The Mass Effect 3 ending (and refusal to add a decent ending in the EC) has pretty much killed the franchise for me.. Buying Bioware again? Not a chance in hell..

Pfft I just spent the last two weeks playing all three games (I was late to the show) for the first time and it was fun. 3's ending left more to be desired but if their is a direct continuation of 3 with Shep I will buy. If there is no Shep and at least cameos by the original cast with a whole new cast, I'd buy. If it is a prequel/side story or takes place with no mention of the past three games... No buy.

I likely will buy ME4, for the following reasons:

1) The ME team created a great story with fascinating characters and awesome mythos.
2) Bioware has written great RPG games in the past and one poor writing choice for an ending (10 minutes out of an epic 60+ hours of enthralling gameplay) does not preclude future success.
3) The marketing team will have had a serious discussion with the writing team, underscoring the importance of DLC's having a positive impact on the ending; I'm willing to bet the next ending will be more dependent on past decisions (making DLC's more attractive) and not on a last-minute choice (making DLC's practically irrelevant).

I will NOT buy ME4 if:

1) They make it a MMO (a personnal choice: I have zero interest in MMO's),
2) Veer away from the space opera/hard sci-fi that has served them so well.

I certainly will! I personally thought ME3 was superb, and playing through it again with my friend has only made me like it more. I love the nihilistic and more character-driven story, and after the Extended Cut I think the endings are excellent. Wrapped everything up, both plot-wise and thematically, and bought tears to mine eyes. So yes, I'll be up for more, ME or otherwise!

So because you thought it was bad I shouldn't buy it regardless of what I thought of it?

Yes, I'll probably pre-order the collector's edition.

If Bioware released ME4 tomorrow, then no, I wouldn't buy. If they release it a few years from, then I might buy it.

Lovers of the endings who swear they purchased multiple copies of the DLC STILL need to buy me my Leviathan and donate the money to my PayPal account. I mean, again, aren't they just lying unless there's proof? I'm offering an easy solution and I have yet to be taken up on it.

I hate the endings and won't spend one more dime on BioWare stuff until they fix the ending. But that doesn't mean I won't take free downloads, and it doesn't mean I will stop a real supporter of BioWare who is buying exta copies of stuff from buying me the new things. And I promise I will totally vouch for them!

in my opinion thats exactly what EA should do.

force bioware to use its bioware cliche story and nothing more. anytime bioware steps out of their comfart zone, inevitably alot of WTF starts to go on.

EA isnt to blame for ME3s failings. they never forced bioware to make a story all about a 'crucible' and they certainly had nothing to do with the ending. EA probably supplied the awesome combat that ME3 features, which is a good thing for mass effect. but i highly doubt the reasons your thinking ME3 failed had anything to do with EA. as a matter of fact i think mass effect is better because of EA, and worse because of (current)bioware.

Will I buy another Mass Effect game? No. Not because I am angry about the ending or something like that, I was disappointed by it, not angry. (Still need to pull Shepard out of the rubble)

I will not buy another Mass Effect game because for me Mass Effect was Shepard’s story. Shepard is how I explored the Mass Effect universe. Without Shepard it would just feel not right.

Don’t get me wrong, the universe it great and the potential is there for more games. If I did play another Mass Effect game the whole time in the back of my mind I would be asking “where is Shepard?”, or “what happened to Shepard?”. I’d rather just head canon Shepard getting rescued and leave the Mass Effect universe at that.

My mage Hawk supported the Templars, temporarily took out Vengeance (I don't for one moment believe he’s dead), but even then we didn't kill all the mages (per Cullen's recommendation we spared who we could). :bandit:

Yeah, definitely. I was not thrilled with the ending to Mass Effect 3 one bit but i'd be lying to myself if I were to say i'd never by another Mass Effect game.
