I think you might underestimate the community. There are not only kiddos around, needing to play every game as soon as it's out. I personally couldn't care less for any of the three mentioned games(which doesn't mean I think they will be bad at all) and will definitely spend some hours, after work, in a good old ME3 firebase somewhere.

This will be one to play on higher difficulties to get the mech count in.  The cool thing is that you can plac your gear accordingly which is a wee bit harder to do with random enemies.  REALLY lookin forward to this one.

To the odd nay-sayer out there. This shouldnt be too difficult an allied goal to complete. Using the last operation's stats, and personal play, we averaged about 1 drone escort per mission (10 waves + extraction), and we achieved 231,000 drone escorts. If everyone ONLY played bronze, if we completed ONLY 200,000 missions, with 3 atlas' per mission, that would be 600,000 dead atlas'. Double the atlas count on the silver missions, double again for gold. My estimate? Figure the # would total about 750,000 dead atlas' by this ops end. This is very similar to one of the early ops where we had to kill 1,000,000 Brutes (if I remember correctly), and we were succesful. So no fear everyone. Just go out and have fun!!!!!

P.S. Curious where Cerberus is getting all the funding, resources, and man-power needed to keep up this kind of commitment ...................

LOL! Do you people fail the reading comprehension portion of standardized exams? Chris answers the question pretty clearly.

If you had to kill atlas as a certain team it would be part of the squad goal, which it is not.

The squad goal should be easy to accomplish:
When you enter the lobby, look what race the squad leader is playing.
If the leader is an alien, switch to the same race before you get ready or leave before you get kicked.
Otherwise do as you please.

Very important that you turn your online feedback on (synching to BSN is a different thing, I think).  Otherwise your games aren't counted (at least for the Squad Goal, not sure about the Allied Goal).  For PC:
Extras>Options>Online>Upload Gameplay Feedback>ON

Once you do this, all you do is play and all your exploits count towards the Op goals.

You do want to do the Squad goal since they reward an N7 weapon.

I started with Recruit packs to fill out all my common weapons etc.  Then I spammed Veteran packs to do the same for Uncommons.  Some quickly move up to Spectre / Premium Specter Packs, but I'm happy with my approach.  Even a Predator X or Avenger X is functional for caster classes.  I still use my (Uncommon) Phalanx X as my go to on most casters.

OK, so in over 7 hours, we'll be playing Operation Patriot. I'm going to have to go and get my supplies ready. I'm talking crisps, chips, dips, chocolate bars, cookies, soda, a nice comfy pillow and I'm gonna camp in front of the T.V tonight and play. This is gonna be fun :-D

so then please explain how that tells me that were able to kill them with mixed groups or even with n7 chars or anything else, as its written it could mean any atlas kills whilst attempting the squad goal my question was mearly trying to ascertain the finer detail of what was meant, i mean whilst i dont mind playing any char i prefer playing an n7 slayer or destroyer which in turn means i'd take part in far more matches (win or loose) but whilst my literary skills might be lacking and suffering from dyslexia i might struggle with reading and writing (or typing for that matter) asking for a specifics that arnt in any way clear to me doesnt seam like a failure in comprehension, especially given the context of the original post and subsequent coments, besides i'd rather know in advance what were meant to do than mess it all up during the weekend as i rather suspect do a lot of others

I like you optimism and pretty much agree with what you are asserting. I am waving a caution flag, though. With the pervasive drain of player base from the now full release of Borderlands 2 and lack of intel in the form of a status tracker, we could fall into the trap of thinking this one is in the bag. Your math is on, but the assumption that we will get the number of Cerberus matches that we need with a reduced player base that may be ignorant of the goal is what I worry about. I really think this is reachable, but let's not fall asleep and think that "I got the squad goal and I played 5 matches....I did my part" will bring sucess. I think forum members (The N7s of the MP Community) need to put the MP community on it's back and carry it a little for this mission.

noo i havent managed to unlock any of them yet, got vorcha, turian, geth, salarian, asari, quarian and a lot of humans but so far not got any krogan or batarians, then again i need better weapons as well guess i'll just have to hope that the boxes are kind and let me have something decent.

oh well i'm sure that time in game will give me everything, like the ability to carry more medigel/opspacks/rockets etc being limited to the starting ammount is pants

I have a krogan, but no batarians, vorcha or geth. Only have 2 N7's and not very many weapons. But am sure I'll get them at some stage lol

Completely agree Aladin, the best way to avoid mixed matches would be to switch to the hosts alien type, additionally, the host may want to set the match to private once the squad is full that way and ask politely that no body rage quits that way, there would be no way to have another type of race jump onto the match. Also for the people out there that dispies mics, it may be a good time to break them out, communication in the lobby before starting the match and during the match are going to be key.

Don't know if anyone already posted this but, just to make sure everyone does their part for the community, the party leader can just set the enemy type to Cerberus in a private lobby. So then, of course, you won't have to worry about the other two enemy types throwing you off.

My crew and I will be rolling as a Turian squad, (for the most part) splitting indoctrinated Cerberus skulls open. Bring it TIM!
