It may not matter much but it is a whole 3 sovereigns rip-off! For a level 3 character it might be a lot! I have CE with both major DLC and a few other items DLCs for CE, Journeys and a weird one:

"UNRECOGNIZED ITEM An unknown promotional item has been found. Urecognized items will still be available and  recognized by the system and game they are intended for." ... whatever that is...

I know that all the threads asking about it and dating as old as 1 month ago never got a real answer... it could be anything really, including better prices at store. =)

You guys being ripped off have that in "your registered game promotions"?

Nope, nothing "unrecognized" in my promotions. Only Keep, Shale and that silly armor.

Juggernaut, Divine Will (templar only), Wardens Commander, Effort, and River Dane armor I stripped from Loghain - those are my favorite when it comes to looks. I like Dwarven Massive too on my elf, I am weird like that :P

And the Legion of the the Dead Armor set. My first run with no DLC - I was waiting for CE release here, don't ask me how I played =} - that was my main char's armor! I love black armor! Just got a mod that makes the Felon's Coat into one... must say, my rogue looks really badazz in it!

Spoiler Alert - be warned!

(Oh, I was looking for the meaning of LFG you mentioned somewhere else and I found this...pretty awesome and WoW)

"Rush with my STR stats to be able to use it ASAP! Who cares how bad I look on it?"

^^ I'd vote for that one, were it not for the fact that my character looks awesome in everything.

The sell value you guys are seeing is probably a difference in versions. The nerfed PS3 version sells for 4 gold, and that's what it was nerfed to in 1.02 for PC users I believe. The 7 gold is probably for the version with more stats.

Wow... that was quite a coming back for Stats over Looks after a 0-8 start! Weird though...most ppl commenting are those who sell it either because the money is good or the look is awful... Not many ppl willing to expose themselves as "bad taste"! =)

I still get 7.65 sovereigns for it in 1.02a! (didn't even noticed that stats were nerfed... I dont use that if they paid me! I'm all for the looks and not the stats =)

I'm just able to use my set now. I like it to a degree but the Warden armour from Warden's Keep is pretty cool too.

four sovereign to buy starting gear?

most use ive gotten out of it. warden commanders is 5 times better as a set (and individually) and as well there is much better out there once you are actually able to equip it.

I think it looks good on men, so I give it to either Sten or Alistair, depending on whom I use more.

My warrior put it on as soon as he had the strength requirement.  After he got the superior dragonbone armor set from Wade, he sold it.  Overall, the armor set is nice and made my dwarf one hell of a tank.

There were 2 versions of the blood dragon armor. The nerfed one is probably the one selling for 4

I normally just sell it, as there's more great Massive armour in this game than there are characters that can wear it.

My current playthrough I've just started, however, I think I'll give it to Sten. This time all my tanks are using helmets and I really want stuff that matches. Wade's Dragonbone doesn't come with any helmet.

There are two very powerful helmets matching Wade's.
Rock-Knocker (Red Steel and awesome bonus for anything but a 2-hander)  and Corruption (Dragonbone)

I wore it on my current character, but whoever said it was right, I feel like I'm cheating. And I look like a 14th Century Cylon. Guess I'll be making another new character.

I don't use it. People saying it isn't any good are nuts; it makes the mid game MUCH easier. It isn't suitable for end game, but it's close, and you aren't supposed to be able to equip near-endgame armor at level 7.

It's also glaringly out of place, visually speaking. My one beef with this generally excellent game is the way they implemented the DLC. I have no problem with DLC in general, but using NPCs as in-game salespeople is kinda tacky, and DLC should emphasize content rather than loot. "Thanks for the fifteen bucks, here's your Sword of Pwnage" kills immersion and makes you feel like you're cheating if you take advantage of it, or gimping yourself if you don't.
