I'll thank bioware to keep their personal romance bias out of my protagonist personal affairs in Da3, some things should remain sacred, no?

So I was doing a run of Da2 earlier and I finally came across the Illusive Rivani fertility talisman, which natuarally I gave to my LI isabella and got this scene. Now to be perfectly clear, my problem is not with the dialogue wheel or tones as all, I rather like them.My problem is with the lack thereof.

As is evidenced in that clip, the one flirtation tone forces my protagonist to dispence with pursuing anything deeper and more meaningful than a quick tryst which totally disregards and is counter active to my personal views on such a personal subject while simultaneously depriving me of any freedom of choice, illusion or ortherwise. What that scene feels like to me is my hand is being held like a child and guided to meet some unseen third wheel's personal design on how they feel my protagonist relationship should evolve, which in and of itself completely crosses quite a few boundaries.

I understand that the devs have decided to keep the dialogue wheel and improve upon it which is fine as I personally found no issue with the wheel other than what I've stated above but if there are to be 3 different personality tones reflecting diverse stances on different issues, there must also be 3 flirtation tones coinciding with that plan.Bioware's influence must remain restricted to missons and the main story objective. The flow of pesonal relationships are to be dictated by the player and only the player. That is all.

Again not an absolute, Allan and gaider do it all the time.

I'm sorry what?

I don't remember the details of Isabela's relationship, buuuut, what I did see in the video was choosing "I am not looking for love" so I'm a bit confused that someone would be surprised by that response.

The other dialogue options all do the same thing (or have her break it off)?

Furthermore, are you friends or rivals with Isabela?

You kinda have to read the thread. Even then, it may be confusing.

OP is annoyed because she is unable to persuade Isabela to commit to her during the Rivaini Talisman conversation.

I have read the thread.  Does anyone know what the other dialogue options say?

I remember the romance playing out quite differently depending on whether you were friends/rivals, however.

I know that if you choose the purple "It's Rivaini" option at the end, Hawke says "I saw it and thought of you. That's all." Isabela looks misty-eyed for a moment and says something about how nice it is to have something that reminds her of home. Personally, I find that dialogue option very satisfying, but it doesn't offer commitment, either. Isabela is Isabela. She gets there in the end, but it has to be on her terms.

Eh, that sounds about right. I believe that's what I chose (since choosing "I'm not looking for Love" seemed to be just about NOT what I wanted to say haha).

Thanks for clarifying.
