True but they can be shot and killed relatively easily.
Couldn't the reapers indoctrinate the flood?

The Reapers could just indoctrinate Gravemind......no more flood. And Sovereign himself could easily destroy the entire pathetic Covenant Armada. This wouldn't even be competition, the Reapers would own it.

If you want Ceph Rejects, watch Battleship. Prometheans look unique enough to be called their own thing.Ghost1017 wrote...

What possible menace or threat could possibly be as dreadful? Or does the next installment focus even more on characters, with any antagonistthreat feeling secondary. Characters are their strong suit afterall.
Leviathans en masse after a millenia of breeding flying around in Citadels with with quantum shielded hulls. Firing ship disabling pulses everywhere. I think that's worse than the Reapers. They outcome wouldn't be as bad if we lost.. well, actually it would if my hypothesis is correct. As they'd have to kill us too because of our ability to make synthetic life.

"So, we finished the trilogy about the eldritch abominations who harvest all sentient life in the galaxy every 50k years. What's our next threat?"
"Uhm... How about an eldritch abomination that's even -more- dangerous?"
"Genius!"
I'm all for political machinations, like a cluster**** between at least five different factions.

ME4 will just be first contact war... they cannot possibly continue ME3 plot as they will have to choose between green/blue/red as their main end for the game which pretty much will ****** off everyone.
Nobody gives a crap about a "war" that lasted 3 month that we know the ending to.
And ME3 can be continued easily, rather they go forward with destroy (which is overwhlemingly the most popular) or make it ambiguous in the distant future. And obviously they don't give a sh*t about pissing people off.

Or an internal attack while they sleep? If they are spaceships what would massive internal sabotage do?

I don't think these would "top" the Reapers, but they would certainly be interesting and viable villains.

Javik threatened worse Reaper variants, but we dealt with the same ol' Husks/Mauraders/Cannibals/Ravagers/Banshees/Brutes. I know the Reaper variants seem like a lot, combined with the Geth variants and the Cerberus variants. Even bringing back Abominations, Scions, Praetorians, and Collectors would've been a welcome addition to the Reaper forces. But honestly, I think Bioware should double the variants from three groups to at least 6+ groups of variant baddies. The more, the merrier. After all, if we have to spend most of our time with these cannon-fodder enemies, much more thought should be put into them than has been seen. A good ending and far more variety in enemy types should be two major focuses of next-gen games.

to be honest for a good story you dont really need a horrifyingly terrible enemy. we've already had them........... no no not EA, they are still here *cough* THIS HURTS YOU *cough* oooft sorry been meaning to get that cough looked at, any who i think it should focus more on characters and more closer to intergalactic politics etc........ society is still rebuilding etc long after the war blahblahblah races are splintering blahblahblah threatens the galaxy blahblahblah you need to do this do that. blahblahblah.
or you could have an old and ancient enemy return from a previous cycle (not the reapers obviously) that threatens the whole galaxy but not in the way the reapers did and it doesnt have to be as dark and grim either as you'd need some form of ancient technology to defeat them like they were in the previous cycle by like the innosanon or something or however they are called lol.
