It's because I can't play those or I'm interested in those. The only way I can play a RTS is if you can play and control the ships and vehicles, I don't like watching them. A Battlestations like Mass Effect game would be cool. I'm also not a fan of online only or MMO's because they get boring and there's no point in those. I played The Old Republic but I got lost and couldn't play it. I'm not a fan of a online only games. Anything else Mass Effect is welcome and great.

The more Mass Effect,  the better. Thank you very much too.

If they do a RTS I would like it to be like Battlestations. I'm just not interested in a MMO because I don;t find those fun, there's not really a storyline to those. A RTS I'm not very good at those games I don't like those type of games but I have a few.

That what I thank, Halo wars I don't have and those others I don;t have because I don;t enjoy them much. I have EaW and Tom Clancy, Sins if a Solar Empire and Battle Stations that about it. I hardly play them.

It's not Important though just because a small group of people want a RTS that doesn't mean everyone wants a RTS. I'm not a fan of those. I wish and want Mass Effect to stay the way it is. I believe it will.

I think a Mass Effect RTS would work, but only if it maintained the core story elements that have made the games so successful. Having a ship you can walk around whilst off duty, hubs to visit, etc, but having the battles in an RTS format would be incredible

Why are you making a Argument and Commenting on my topic or being a Troll? I'm saying I don't want a MMO or a RTS, your here wanting one and saying Yes to a RTS or so? I don't mind it but I'm not in favor of a RTS, MMO type game. There's soooo many RTS and MMO's out there, Mass Effect don't need it. Mass Effect is a SciFi, Action and Adventure RPG/Shooter. I think it should be kept like that.

The ONLY WAY I WILL BUY A RTS if you can Cantrol the Vheciles and things, I don;t like watching, commanding them because that's boring, I really liked how Battlestations did it. Also try typing more too. x.x

Battlestations is quite cool, but it would be hard to combine its game mechanics with ME. In Battlestations (we are talking about Battlestations: Midway / Pacific, right?) you have a tripple 2D action area (sea, sub-sea & air, nothing between them). In "ME:Battlestations" we would have just space as place for fights, right (I've never heard in ME about classical naval forces or giant land vehicles)? But space is a 3d area for operations. That doesn't make the game impossible to control but it demands much more strategy and tactic if you and your enemy can move in every direction. Another problem are the controlled units themselves. Space combat in ME is basically about getting your biggest gun in straight direction of the enemy, shooting over vast distances and hope the don't return fire fast enough. If this game would feature "real world distances" you would fire about several thousend miles (at least with dreadnoughts). This means  you would need to predict the position of your enemy several seconds into the future, maybe even concern that the image of your oponent just travels with the speed of light and he might be not even there where his image is (because there are no FTL sensors).
Then the question if you would need to concern your heat level as described in the codex and would the game regard the rates of power in the ME universe (Turians with >35 dreadnoughts, Alliance <10)?
I think such game would be really complex if made properly but it could be quite cool as well.
It could work as mainly MP title with 5on5 battles and different player classes (e.g. 1 player with 1-2 dreadnoughts, 2 players with cruisers and few frigates and 2 players with carriers, fighters and a lot of frigates). Add different game modes and they could make some profit with this game, but it could not replace a proper ME3 successor, because too many people wouldn't want to play this game.

A Mass Effect Battlestations could work but with Both Sea, Speace, Air and Land vehciles. I know it would take alot of time and money to do. I prefer this type of RTS than a Halo Wars, EaW those types of RTS, I'm not really a fan of those much. I know I'm not very good with RTS that much. I usually lose when I do play those. x.x

I don't think it's much fun to drive a single Mako all the time (I admit that I'm not a fan of World of Tanks). It would also mean hell a lot of work, because there are just 4 ground vehicles designed yet: Mako, Hammerhead, the krogan APC and this unarmed Alliance APC
For a full game they would have to design dozens of new vehicles. If they'd just use space vehicles, it would be much less work, because they have already many designs.

What is this new game Carrier Command that popped up out of no where? That game looks really cool, I don;t mind if Mass Effect did something like that or Battlestations.

Well, that's unfortunate for you.  I'm playing The Old Republic at the moment and I'm loving it.  What do you mean by there's no point in it?  And really, what's the end point of a non-online game?  How do you compare the two?  I also don't know what you mean by you couldn't play it?

I would love an mmo for Mass effect, but I'm not pushing for the idea.  I realise SW:TOR got a lot of flack and people were angry because it didn't flesh well with KOTOR 1 and 2.  Well, I played neither of those and I love SW:TOR.  It's all personal taste.   Alot of hardcore fans won't like it.  This one will!

I don't have the head for RTS games, but if they want to make a game like this, so be it.  I'll ty it anyway.  If I don't like it, then thats on me.  Bioware can't please every single person.

I'm just not a MMO-Online only typr person or a RTS type person. I want mass Effect teh way it is. Because you like MMO's that doesn;t mean I like MMO's and other people. I know I been with Mass Effect for a very very long time.

I want Mass Effect to make every fans happy not just some people. I think Mass Effect shoul just be Action and Adventure, SciFi RPG/Shooter. that what I want and feel. Also in a MMO I get lost with it like I don;t know what you are doing, what you are aiming for. I like the game to have a story in between not just running around. I do love Open world, fun sandboxes. Also MMO's aren't that great because of Internet issues and connection, plus it's online only.

I'M NOT A PC PLAYER EITHER SO I DON'T WANT A MMO or IT TO BE FOR PC ONLY.

Hey, no need to get worked up.  I understand where you're coming from.  I never made mention that you should like them because I do.

MMO's aren't for everybody, just like RTS, openworld, sandbox, or shooters aren't for everybody.  And like I said, even though I'm all for an MMO Mass Effect game, doesn't mean it should be made.  I'm just open to the idea.

You mentioned in your OP that if they made an RTS game of Mass Effect it should be like Battlestations where you can control your ships and stuff, right?  Well, I don't like that idea at all.  I have no head for RTS games and I already know that i'd be too frustrated by it to enjoy it.  But that's just my personal opinion.  You like it.  I don't.  I like MMO.  You don't.  We can very easily agree to disagree on own preferences.  It's no big deal.  It's all well and good saying you want and feel it should be this and that.  Hey, I'm not against your personal opinion, it's how you feel after all.  But Bioware should be, and are I'm sure, open to all aspects.

So you get lost in MMO's.  I'm sure plenty of people do.  I sure as hell am at the moment in Guild Wars 2.  But there are hundreds... thousands even of players that don't.  I got lost a lot in SW:TOR, but now it's a cake walk.  By the way, SW:TOR does have a story... 8 actually depending on which class you choose each with very clear paths on what to do and where to go.

Mass Effect could very well be an action/adventure/rpg game as much online then offline.  Internet issues and connection issues are personal things to do with your/our end, so there's that too.  But you won't have to worry about it being a PC only release.  I'm pretty sure Bioware/EA will release future games on all 3 consoles.

But no matter what happens, Bioware will never, ever be able to make ALL fans happy... ever.  It's impossible.  They could make ME4 a carbon copy to the 'T' of the previous games, and people will still complain, me included.  They need something new, fresh.  Something like the others, not but the same.

Everyone has their personal opinions and tastes on what they'd like to see for the next Mass Effect release.  Me?  I'd love and welcome an MMO if it was written well and the mechanics were decent.  Hell, if it was good enough, I'd even pay a monthly subscription.  But if they decide to not go that route, that's fine by me too.

I've been playing Mass Effect for a long time, as I'm sure a lot of people on these forums have, and no matter what they decide to do with their game, I'll be there to support them with my wallet in hand.  MMO or not :P

If a game started as RPG with mostly single player mode it shoul stay that way till the end. Why? Because changing the rules for a lot of people is usually something annoying. People are already angry because ME3 is more of a shooter than rpg -.- Autodialoque,fetch-type quests etc.

I think I know what you guys are saying. Yes in The Old Republic MMO, Eve I got lost and didn't know what to do. I'm more of a Singleplayer and story based person. I like online and multiplayer games but not online only games. I will buy a Mass Effect RTS if they do it like battlestations and that cool new game Carrier Command. In a Mass Effect RTS they should make it third person shooter and let you go on foot as well. I think that be really cool for a Mass Effect RTS, I'm just not interested in boring old fashion RTS games or I'm interested in a MMO. That's just me, what I think.
