2) Save credits for buying medium/higher equipment packs*
3) Rinse & repeat
The unlocks are generated randomly so it's simply luck of the draw whether you get what you want. I usually save more than a million credits before making a bulk purchase in the store.
*Exception if you're low on consumables - better to stock up first as it makes games go smoother.

Comming from a person who actually has a full manifest (how are you guys giving input on getting it if you don't have it?) (cept Tronar, he's good peoples:D) Here was my method.
1st. If you don't promote, this will be easy for you, keep all your classes unlocked and 20, and make sure you get yourself a good strategy with each (Character). Ex. My Demolisher class, (bomberwoman) runs a falcon/scorpion X combo with disruptor ammo, and I have 40% DoT on arc and DoT on homing grenades, so everything I do sets off a tech burst and does massive AoE damage. My HSentinel is 6/6 with warp/throw and I play debuff and DoT with BE and incendiary ammo. My soldiers run Harrier X with disruptor/incendiary ammo to set off constant tech burst/fire explosions with concussion shots and grenades.
2nd. Don't hop right into platinum, you want at least 3~4 good R~UR weapons you have "mastered" using in gold before you hop into platinum. You want to have at least 1~2 weapons also that stagger that you can always have. I personaly always carry a scorpion with my main weapon or my main will stagger (Falcon, GPS, Krysae). ******Please don't listen to anyone saying you can do this easy yada yada with this weapon and people use common weapons with level 1s BS. The people that did those things were "co-op" players trying to epeen a point. You on the other hand want to get credits and not waste your time.*****
3rd get a solid squad, (friendlist w/e) Playing with randoms is always.... Random... Never know if your going to win or lose, and me personaly, 18~infinity minutes of my time is long enough as is, you want to be able to reliably win credits EVERY SINGLE MATCH.
4th, and alot of people are going to disagree with me, I recommend AGAINST buying PSPs once you have all your Rares/Rare Gears unlocked. I wasted so many credits... at least 30M getting ammo, no BS.
5th, and alot of people might disagree with this also, USE EVERY CONSUMABLE YOU HAVE. DO NOT GO "I'm not going to equip this or use this medigel cause this person didnt." I used to be really hoardy with my rockets/gels/ammo yada yada. Now I buy nothing but consumables and even if I were to use it blindly everytime I entered random matches I wouldnt be able to use all of them because my credits outpace the ability to use them all. Now I purposly use every single rocket/gel/thermal clip/op pack I can with level 1~4 consumables in EVERY slot (within reason, dont go equiping melee mod on a demolisher you plan on long range battling.)
tl;dr
1. Get good at the using every character and class, be able to adapt to any team and fill any spot.
2. Learn to use EVERY weapon, and then choose which ones are most effective, and still awesom, there are only a few.
3. Get social and get alot of GOOD friends. Sorry but you aren't going to max your manifest with "casual" play.
4. Buy spectre packs not the premiums, after you max rares. Don't blow 30K credits on 1 slot of ammo.
5. Don't save anything, use everything you can to get your next set of credits, once you get to platinum your money will outpace your usage.
This is pretty much exactly correct. Maybe #4 could be debated but otherwise it's how I did it as well.
i would still recommend PSP's over SP's. PSP gives you a higher chance to get UR's. although i got some UR's from SP's i still got most of it from PSP's. i only buy SP's when i get impatient waiting to get enough credits for PSP's.
i would suggest to keep your medigels, rockets and ops pack stocked for platinum. i stopped promoting a long time ago i did not see any reason for it. i was more interested to be able to max out manifest and learn to play at highest difficulty.

And I agree, it makes indeed more sense to listen to the people with a maxed out manifest, than the others.
Though I haven't completely maxed out my manifest yet, but I am nearly there. The only thing I am missing are 40 points in the Ultra Rare department, my two worst URs are only at Level III.
I again agree with everything you said, except for the PSP vs. SP argument.Ronnie Blastoff wrote...

Stats in the forum show again and again that SPs give you a 5% chance for an UR vs. PSPs having a 10% chance for an UR. Which makes sense, because SPs usually only have one gold slot (unless you are really lucky) vs. PSPs having two sure gold items and thus twice the chance for having an UR in that place.
To support my point: so far 4 times I received a PSPs with TWO UR weapons. And many times I received my URs in the second last slot and not in the last slot. So had I bought a SP instead, I would have probably been left with Level III stuff in that place instead of getting a UR. Ok, while this is of course pure speculation, fact is, that a SP gives you 4 items in the silver department and only 1 item in the gold department.
So yes, you save 40k by buying a SP instead of a PSP, but you sure get Level III stuff in card slot No. 4 with no chance of getting an UR in that place.
And yes, buying a Premium Disappointment Pack will cost you 99k instead of 60k. And yes, if you have all gold items maxed out, you will get two Level IV Ammo (like Incendiary) or equipment items (like Cyclonic Mod IV).
But at least you have the same chance of getting an UR card as in buying TWO SPs, which would cost you 120k and thus be more expensive.
I also found out that buying PSPs in streaks gives you a higher chance to land URs than just buying one pack at a time whenever you have enough credits. I keep track of my stats and my current percentage has risen significantly above 10% since I changed my MO.
Having maxed out everything like Ronnie, SPs are definitley the better choice, because you get the same amount of missiles and medi-gel for 60k as for 99k. The only difference being in that case one Level III item instead of a Level IV item.
tl;dr
- two SPs cost 120k giving you 10 cards. One PSP costs 99k also giving you only 5 cards. Both alternatives give you a 10% chance to land an UR. So two SPs give you twice the amount of missiles, medi-gel and other equipment, but also cost 20k more.
Depending on where your current needs are, one or the other makes more sense. For maxing out Rares and URs as fast as possible PSPs are definitely the better choice.
