So, you have a Claymore, a Geth Plasma Shotgun, a Graal Spike Thrower, a Disciple, a Reegar Carbine, a Piranha, a Wraith, and a Crusader. All gold plus the ultra rare and promo shotguns.

Why are you using the Piranha?

And don't give me, "Because the other shotguns suck!" That will just get you ignored.

Piranha usage is too simple. I like a challenge.

I'm not using the Piranha. I'm using the Wraith.

If I'm not using the Wraith, I'm using the Claymore.

I use it sometimes because it's funny as hell - it's like shooting a potato cannon.

Majority of the time, I use a Reegar or GPS though - they're my go-tos.

I don't use a Piranha as much, though, I love the GPS and the Reegar Carbine!
The Piranha kind of has a big spread but I understand why people like it.

Because of RoF and against Reapers it is Boss, But I do use the Crusader against Cerberus. That shotty was just built to kill humans.

So this is to find out what to nerf.... Clever very clever its dps is very good on the destroyer with the increased ammo capacity and damage boost. I only use the claymore on my krogan, (rp) don't like the charging of the gps, don't like the graal/disciple and don't have the wraith. Oh and i use the reegar on my krogan/vorcha.

For me it is the rate of fire, good clip size. It is great against bosses, really shreds them apart. However, I have grown quite fond of the Claymore recently

For me it's rate of fire and clip size. If I am not going to be close quarters I'll go with the GPS.

I typically only use the the Piranha, when using a shotgun at all, when I care about the cooldown. There are more good shotguns than any other weapon class in the game. The Claymore, GPS, Raeger and Piranha are all great. So no need to nerf it.

Because using the GI, which has the 80% damage boost and the prox mine debuff i can put out a lot of damage in an cloak cycle.

Also, it is easy to use.

EDIT: I only use it on the GI...maybe on the Destroyer too, sometimes.

I like a cqc weapon for some of my caster classes and the Piranha and its relatively low weight fill that niche perfectly.

I'd use the Talon or Wraith instead, but those two are ultra-rare and much harder to level up than the Piranha.
And the Disciple... yeah... low damage, unreliable stagger and poor acuracy.

Low weight, so if if I'm playing an unfamiliar class and don't know what weapon to pick I just use the piranha. It's very forgiving too.

I actually haven't used the piranha in a really long time. I mostly use the Wraith (got that up to VII) and the GPS. I've recently started using the Crusader with my Destroyer and have really enjoyed it, so long as I use a stabilization mod!

It has a decent rate of fire and damage (although I still wish it wasn't nerfed). It helps me take out Atlases rather quickly. It's not too heavy. Pretty much it.

Is it valid to say, "I don't"? I prefer the Reegar, the Disciple, and the GPS, or rarely the Claymore.

It's light, it fires enough shells quickly to dispatch if not really hurt most critters. I would really prefer to use Discipline for those purposes but it has too few shots before reload. Give Discipline a larger mag and I'll use that instead.

Graal sucks off host. Disciple doesn't do much damage. Crusader and Wraith aren't even worth using whether you're host or not.

Pirahna is easy. Hold down the trigger and do damage. You don't need to reload cancel, you don't need aim and it weighs less than a bag of potatoes.

I don't use it though, I prefer the Claymore or GPS.

I use them all fairly equally, like almost all other guns. Although to answer the question, I would use it because it's a full-auto Shotgun good for when you wanna get right in their faces and completely destroy them. No other shotgun does this so well, although most others can actually operate at a fair distance, so it's all good.

Claymore and Crusader: weights like a whale.
GPS and Graal: Proyectile weapons, don't work well off-host, can't pierce nor use ammos. GPS can't headshot.
Disciple and Scimitar: Spiting in an enemy deal more damage.
Reegar Carbine: I use it on classes that benefits from power + reegar. Otherwise a Hurricane is better.
Wraith and Evicerator: Rate of fire of once shot every hour.
Katana: Slow firing, moderately heavy and lack of general punch.
Piranha: Light and big punch at close range, the things people usually seek in a shotgun.
