Just a quick thanks to how active some Bioware devs and staff have been within the DA3 forum home! I'm even seeing Gaider engaged, which is a pleasantry. A lot of my inquiries are being answered within these threads and I can't help but be excited about DA3. It's appreciated and I look forward to what DA3 churns out. DA has always been an enjoyable series for me and kept me sated while I waited for more Mass Effect. I'd like to see more of a DEV and writer presence in the Mass Effect boards, but I'm extremely grateful for the presence here. Keep up the good work!

..... I should go.

Did some thread cleaning as it was only going to go down a bad path.

There aren't a lot of forum where the devs participate with the fans and reading opinions about their games. It's very refreshing. I would also like to offer my thanks. Good luck with DA3.

Cleaning up thread again. Coming into this thread with the idea of posting belligerent posts that serve nothing more than to rile people up will not be tolerated.

One of the various reasons I stopped posting at the Mass Effect boards regularly was the notable lack of Developer Response(Not counting Community Managers and/or Moderators). It feels a bit more like a genuine conversation here, and less like being monitored.

Thanks to the devs giving this place a bit more life to it.

Feel free to lock the thread. I don't want any negativity to come from this thread, as that's the last thing this board nees. My point has been made. I just wanted to show the staff and DEV's some appreciation and to open the door for others to do so as well if they felt inclined to.

The thread itself is fine and there will probably be others that may want to say the same thing.

Discussing things in a civil manner will keep the thread open, and I see no problem keeping it open in the meantime.

I agree. It's great to see the devs active on the forums and engaging fans in conversations and discussing with us. I'm sure we all appreciate it and I am looking forward to Dragon Age 3.

Allan, I've noticed your handiwork in a couple threads that were going downhill fast; thank you for wading through the filth to keep the rest of the community happy 8D

I wish all the threads and posts in this forum would be positive. All we can do is ignore the negative threads or toss in our positive two cents.

Also, if I see a topic supporting something I don't like (a particular character as a LI for example), I just don't participate in that discussion. I won't make anyone happy by barging in there and declaring my dissenting opinion.

It's been said, but it sure would be nice if there was more of a developer presence on the Mass Effect forums. There's still a lot of frustration and a general impression that staff members have said...misleading...things that have yet to be properly cleared up after six months.

+1.  You guys are pretty awesome for hanging out with us, even when we're cranky.

Threads don't need to be only "positive" in that if someone has criticisms towards DA2 or DAO, that's fine.  Being civil is key, and that goes for people that decide to pile onto someone that IS being critical or negative.

Also, if I see a topic supporting something I don't like (a particular character as a LI for example), I just don't participate in that discussion.

I encourage all posters to do the same.

Oh, the sweet nectar of naivete.

It's like John Epler all over again!

I'll add my own voice of appreciation to the devs who are participating. Especially those that i haven't seen posting in some of the other forums previously. Whether I agree with you or not on any given viewpoint, it's still awesome to see you guys posting and interacting even in the face of some (at times) fairly harsh and unhappy feedback. I wish you all success in navigating through a difficult minefield of opinion and expectation.

I've always adored how active the DA team gets; especially before the release of an upcoming game. Thank you all for handling the vitriol in stride when it does rear its ugly head, and being such wonderful teases about the game.

On the one hand because of how overwhelmingly negative the backlash has been I can see why they'll be absent. On the other hand I don't remember there being much posting from BioWare guys in the ME2 threads either. The DA guys have always been better at interacting than the ME guys. Even if it's just David Gaider walking into a thread and saying "You guys have no idea what you're talking about."
