BioWare is not foolish enough to make Synthesis canon. This is just one person saying something. How often do these sort of things change? All the time

Synthesis is supposed to be about going "to infinity, and beyond!", so just leave it at that.
Destroy makes more sense. Control could work too, but the point is that the Reapers rebuilt everything before they left, so galactic society doesn't go anywhere different. It just picks up and carries on. With Destroy, people have had to rebuild everything the Reapers destroyed, by themselves. They have Reaper tech to salvage, and they have a chance to do things differently, so it's a chance to see a new world. It makes making a new game much more worthwhile.

I agree completely, synthesis makes the least/no sense if they want to make a new game.

well in biowares defence leviathan even states the reapers and ai wont stop till they find what they are looking for and imo i think synthesis is that thing. and dont forget shep is the first organic to meet him and is also a threat to him
casper is a a.i that over see's both organics and synthetic relations right? well if his logic is true about how humans need robots to advance and robots need to advance on the same level as organics maybe in the catalysts programing he really believes combining the 2 will solve the issue permanetley?
after all he does state it is the final stage of evolution

People are surprised by this? With how they tried to shove synthesis down your throat in game and with how the epilogue was unicorns, cupcakes and rainbows it was obvious that synthesis was Bioware's preferred ending and the one they would choose if they made a sequel.

No, it was the preferred ending because they specifically didn't want to make sequels. What with all the writing new stuff and all. At least no one would be nuts enough to want a sequel in a synthesized universe.

Locking this down as it is unfortunately 20 pages based on complete fiction and nothing I've ever said. Perhaps this person was confusing me stating that Synthesis is MY canon ending (I have a few saved games, but my main Shep chose Synthesis).
