I would love to kill Tallis but I don't see any problem with her being a companion and LI, except that her zealotry would obviously be a bit of a roadblock in the way of emotional attachment to the character.

Being able to romance her in a later playthrough might even shed some light on her character that Bioware wasn't able to sufficiently showcase in MotA.

I would still like to kill her, however.

As long as I have the opportunity to reject her from my party, should the need arise, and the choice to kill her, should she inevitably stab me in the back, then sure.

However, if she's forced on me and I have no option but to accept her company or she screws me over again and I'm left incapable of defending myself... Well, I will be quite irritated.

I have no hatred for Tallis as a character, I just want her to be treated the same as all the other characters and, should the need arise, have the option to remove her from my company should she do something I dislike.

I have no hatred for Tallis too. I just thought she was boring and annoying, not really interesting. Obviously she tried ( too hard ) to be funny, to be the guess star, but I was simply And there are many other reasons. ( too many ? )

And her face... ugh.

Hell Yes. I'd love to have Tallis as a full time companion and LI, but she is not everyones cup of tea so there should also be the option to leave her behind or whatever for the people who don't want her

 It was   awsome  DLC Felicia Day did  awsome  and t I really liked Tallis as a character  and the DLC as a whole   was very  high quality.

Just   a small list of the people across  DA and ME I Dont  like  is:

 Anders  is at the undisputedly top of the list  

Followed  by Merril ,

Liara  and Alister dont quite make the list but are very close to it

Sten was the first stone in the pavement known as the Qunari. He was an excellent character that offered an unique window into one of the most interesting fictional societies in gaming history. He offered great philosophical and political differences compared to the rest of the Dragon Age: Origin squadmates.

Tallis is not necessarily a bad character, but she is a hypocrite and and cheezily written with bad proverbs and warped logic. The only thing i personally dislike about her is that she went from interesting Bioware initiative to Felicia Day's personal playing ground for ruining the Qun into what she beleived it to be in her fanfiction.

so what they meant for sten to be a boring emotion less chunk of rock with ghetto dreads now if he looked the way the qunari looked in DA2 i would keep him around just because he looked cool, anyway back on point tallis as a Li would be interesting but isn't she a follower of the Qun and a brain washed elf does not make a good girlfriend imo.

Really loved her in the DLC, hope she will return in DA3 and if possible, romanced.

 Honestly, I was supremely impressed with her, but wouldn't be surprized or dissapointed to see her pop up in DA III. It wouldn't be the worst choice of a return character. She was ok, but not entirely live-without-able. I'd rather see Morrigan, Isabella or even Leliana back as female characters go, and would rather not have anything overtly screw with the overall plot too, too much with returning characters. At this point, Leliana is probabbl out due to political affiliations, and Morrigan has her own things going on. There really are a limited amount of characters left who can logicallty be included in DA III without too much complication making it not worth the contortionist act necessary to bring them into a new plot in the first place.

It'd be funny if the only way to kill her would be romancing her. Say she finally comes to love the PC enough to reveal she's a Qunari spy. The PC being the Inquisitor now has a plausible in character motive to off her.

If she was to be in DA3, it would be interesting if she had doubts about the Qun and they would grow more and more as the story progressed (this could be contrasted with a Tal-Vashoth companion) and in the end, it's her interactions with the PC that solves her doubts.

I agree, to me she had a really interesting blend of backgrounds, and she was one of the high points of the cast of characters from DA2. Even if the character came off a bit of a Mary Sue (considering the whole dlc was about her), Felicia Day did a great job with it and i found her more refreshing than other DAO elves who were, with the exception of Zevran, divided in a simple way as dalish or city elves. I too would like to see her return in some way, preferably as a companion, but if not then as a sidequest npc that you can interact with.

Tallis would be a very interesting character.

Her appearance would depend on if Bioware can hire Felica Day to voice her again. And how much effort and resources they can put into a good story for this character. Bioware definitely has the writers talent to pull off a good story involving Tallis as character and romance. The question is just if they can spare the time to implement her as she deserves. No one would be happy if she was jpoorly implemented just for the sake of having her in DA3.
